      Im glad someone else picked that up too. I was worried I'd be the only one.for a second. A specific thing i noticed was at the beginning when she was talking about her new skin care line and she said something like "so thats really exciting". And as she said it she actually scrunched her nose in disgust for a second and shook her head no while saying it. Huge contradictory body language from her words. Also she'd say the name of one of her products and end it with a question mark. Like she'd never seen the product before. Very odd. And yeah the giggling came off like she thought the whole thing was silly. I think she was trying playing it off as something else though because she couldnt seem to help herself from doing it. I really do believe she was told to do this video even though she really had no interest. She needed to for the business. Also probably why she left her eye makeup on. That was probably a condition of doing the video. Anyway i know its all conjecture but i do believe I'm pretty good at reading people and their body language (I've studied it some) and thats how i took her to be. Im glad you got that vibe too.

    I know the comment about avoiding needles struck a harsh cord, understandably, but Susan’s response seemed to undersell the benefits of skincare. She, herself, has mentioned countless times many ingredients to aid in reversing/slowing the loss of collagen and elastin. Yes, treatment by a dermatologist or esthetician will help dramatically and Botox is of course an option. I think taking it so personally overshadowed what she normally would respond.

    First of all, Vanessa didn't mean anything negative when she said "so I don’t have to get needles in my skin". She's said in the past that she has nothing against plastic surgery but it's just something SHE wants to avoid doing for as long as possible. Second of all, if any of you would take 5 minutes to actually watch a video of hers you'd know she's literally always giggly, smiling and upbeat. I swear to god y'all would rather people walk around being bitchy and miserable all the time. This poor girl gets hate for breathing and it's getting ridiculous. Can she have a day off or?

In particular, I enjoyed the video she did in collaboration with Liah Yoo, founder of Krave, where the two of them watched Liah’s evening and morning routine. Susan had questions about Liah’s routine and Liah was able to respond and explain why she didn’t use a Vit C serum. I also enjoyed watching Susan’s video discussing Olivia Rodrigo’s routine and saw value in educating viewers about using a gua sha tool with a product with more slip to prevent tugging and potential damage to your skin. In 2019, at the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology Congress in Madrid, there was a fascinating study that looked at both environmental and dietary factors and found that people with acne are far more likely to eat dairy products on a daily basis. The study didn't prove causation but did prove that they are linked.

    I really disliked how much Vanessa hammed it up and acted so like aloof and giggly. Like if you’re going to promote a skincare line I want to feel like you’re an expert on the products and the impact on the skin. Didn’t get that effect but Susan kept it honest

    • @enc1971
      @enc1971 3 года назад +1

      So you think she acted cool, distanced and unfriendly? I ask because that’s what aloof means and I just didn’t get that from her. She does seems a little childlike, though.

    Hey Susan. I love your Tranaxemic acid serum and Azaleic acid emulsion. Below is my wish list for you. I have a hard time finding such products in the US without fragrance, essential oil, denatured alcohol and fruit extracts at a good price point.
    1. A non-irritating antioxidant serum with HA, Niacinamide, Q10, Resveretrol, Green Tea, Centella, Pycnegenol, Astaxanthin etc. Something people in their 20s can wear under Sunscreen for preventative care.
    2. A rich moisturizer with ceramides, peptides, fatty acids, squalane and cholesterol.
    3. An encapsulated Retinaldehyde PM serum with few other antioxidants for synergetic effect.

    Your advice and way of explaining is really great. I care about my skin as much as my life. Because the structure of my skin is different and does not accept every product. Or rather, it doesn't work. However, I would like to point out one thing that I bought a cream called RWLMAX cream 3 months ago. It really cleared up the dry layer on my skin and the acne I was uncomfortable with in a really quick time. I really couldn't believe it. I really recommend you to try it. Because it works!

    Probably controversial to say, but i got the feeling she didnt want to be there filming this and that she's never used her line of products before. She would say the name of the product with a question mark at the end. And laughing came off like she thought the whole thing was silly. Obviously i could be completely off but thats what I got from her words and body language. Im sure shes a nice person.

    People love calling Vanessa disingenuous just because she's positive and bubbly, which is sad af. Everyone who's met her has said she's exactly like that in real life, full of energy and positivity. Which is actually commendable considering the amount of trauma she's had to face in life and how many things she's gone through. So just think and leave your hatred to yourselves.

    I never put eye products on my lids; just under them and under the brows.

    • @skinsciencebymira
      @skinsciencebymira 3 года назад

      That’s exactly how you should do it 💗
      The temp of your skin and eye movement will carry the product where it needs to go anyway and that way you’re minimizing getting skincare into your eyes which are typically not eye safe. Edit: nvm I kept watching and Susan literally said this 😆

    • @kendallstark4302
      @kendallstark4302 3 года назад

      @@skinsciencebymira not to worry! About skincare around the eyes, I know everyone's skin is different but I don't see how an eye cream or moisturizer could travel into the eye itself, since those products are absorbed into the skin. I can definitely see how sunscreen can/does, because it really just sits on the skin. Anyway, we're all unique so it's a case-by-case thing.

    • @skinsciencebymira
      @skinsciencebymira 3 года назад

      @@kendallstark4302 haha I like to read the comments while watching so I responded and then she said literally the same thing, gave me a laugh. most ingredients actually don’t penetrate into the skin. Humectants like hyaluronic acid for example and many water soluble ingredients, ingredients with a larger molecular size, and anything occlusive will remain on the surface. It’s not a bad thing either, different ingredients just work at different depths. And for ingredients that do penetrate, often it isn’t instantaneous anyway.
