#JadaPinkettSmith
She has incredible genetics....just take a look at her gorgeous mother. Plain and simple, cuz lawd jesus, this routine....whew
I agree. Her mom looks amazing
Lol
Cant dismiss her skin care because of genetics alone.
@@JP0411 yeah you can lol when the techniques are wrong
I love how you can tell Susan disapproves of Jada’s skin care methods, BUT loves Jada as a person! Susan was ready to crack up several times at how funny Jada is 😂
I'm an esthetician and I do microdermabrasion. I see where Susan is coming from microdermabrasion can cause lots of irritation if not used correctly and will usually strip the acid mantle and some of the stratum corneum. People have to be careful to avoid sun exposure and to use soothing and non irritating products after the treatment because it technically causes a micro injury to the skin. She was stretching the skin wrong and breaking the suction wrong and I would never go and rub any sort of cloth over a clients face after doing this treatment or do any steaming before or after and only use soothing masks after!!! Yeah don't do it at home but it's actually a good service if done well by a professional.
If used correctly, with a series of treatments and proper at home care and sun protection it has many benefits and you can see them on clients. It's also more gentle than the crystal dermabrasion version because we're able to reduce the strength of the vacuum and use a gentler diamond head for certain skin types.
Hey, I have the PMD and I was wondering whats the correct way of breaking the suction (if it is possible to explain in words lol)? Thank you so much!
Lol for sure I can try! The way we were taught to do it is to stretch the skin between our thumb and index finger and then to run the diamond head between the fingers. You can break the suction when the diamond tip touches your finger then tilt it slightly or you can go off an edge like the jaw. It might be easier to work in small sections too. You can do 3 passes horizontally, vertically then diagonally. Just make sure to stop when your skin starts to turn pink and stays pink even if it's after one run ( that's our cue to stop).
Hope that kind of helped?
This is an outlandish routine. I get she doesn’t always do this but I think shes addicted to steam lol 😂
Lol
Yes ma’am 😂😂 - that’s from the “steam opens your pores and ice closes them” old wives story ..
I’d eat that avocado rather than put it on my face seriously
Seriously
Yes! I actually tried a avocado & honey mask one time. I had red, inflamed skin along with a few welts. I can eat them, but I can’t put them on my face! 🥑
All I could think was how she was wasting that delicious avocado lol
Yes. What a waste of avocado 😩
Waste of food to us, but only a penny down the drain for them 😔
No matter what anyone says, I love me some Susan Yara. She has the best dictation and very enjoyable to watch. Love supporting her in everything she does!
lmfao susan's face when jada pulled out the microdermabrasion machine 😁 ➡️😨
It was PRICELESS 😅
LOL
When I saw the Jada Routine , I had so many omg moments😂 . I firmly believe she has very good genes, an average person will get a lot of inflammation or irritation doing all the things she did to her skin. Please guys , be very careful following celebrity skincare routine ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I love Jade and I love Susan’s reaction 🥰
I think she has good genes as well. Her mom looks amazing for her age.
You and DR. Alexis Stephens reactions to Jada’s routine were so spot on . I love both channels!
Love Dr. Alexis
I am 49 and remember growing up with commercials and advertisements, there were two main things they pushed on teens with acne. Scrubs and those acne pads that made your skin look like a dehydrated lizard. Everything was about keeping the skin clean because if you didn't - THAT'S why you had breakouts (not, hormones or underlying health issues, etc.) My how far we've come in learning the why's and what NOT to do. Her routine reminds me a LOT of the mentality we grew up with. I am menopausal...every time she did one of those dang steam sessions, I almost had a power surge!!!😲😬
At least she didn't use sea breeze... lol
Ugh. Used to use the medicated apricot scrub 2-3 time’s a DAY when I was a teenager. Unreal. My poor skin.
Yes! I'm 51 and remember those clearly being our choices. Horrible.
That was exactly what I thought. That advice wasn't good for our skin when we were teenagers, but it's interesting how many people use the same products/techniques they did when they were younger. A friend's mom still uses Noxzema to wash her face, and she's in her 60's lol.
Jada: “Steam is really important. We’re gunna steam A LOT.”
Susan: “Steam is not important.”
Susan, I love you 😂
For her it is and it seems to work for her, maybe not you.
@@SunFlower-x3she's just misinformed
When Susan said that she was nervous for this one 😂. Uh girl thank God you were already sitting
Need a tutorial on this makeup look. SO warm and lustrous.
Now everytime I see Jada, I can only remember an entanglement😅😅🤣😂
Lmao
That's soooooo 2020.
lol yess the moment I clicked on this video and saw her face, the word "entanglement" just popped into my head out of nowhere
@@Lvmykidos2Not that I care to defend her or her marriage, but it's not adultery if you're relationship is on an indefinite break, and it's not adultery if your spouse knows and has given approval. Just saying.
@@Lvmykidos2 You can go on about the technical definition, but we are both aware of the usage and meaning and subtext of the term 'adultery' in common speech. If you call someone an adulterer, you are effectively accusing them of being unfaithful, simply because that is how the word is interpreted by people -- which in this case would obviously be an inaccurate assumption. Nobody is gonna hear that and think 'oh this might be referring to a situation where a couple had, while still remaining legally married, ended their romance, and then one of the parties decided to get involved with someone else, but not before informing and getting the approval of their spouse but then later the second relationship fizzled out and the the spouses reconciled'. Rather, they're gonna think 'cheating whore'. Even your own choice of emoticon in your initial comment implies this same sort of baseless value judgement.
Jada: steam is SO important
Susan: steam is not important 😂
Love the honesty!
Damn, it’s been a minute since I’ve seen Susan freak out over a skin care video.. but I’m here for it !!!
Susan when she steamed again after the avocado mask..LMAOOOOOO!!
Just an FYI for everyone, some Targets have Naturium products at 15% off this week :)
I forgot to add that I think you need the Target Circle app
Whoa! Awesome! Thanks for that!
I've learned so much watching these videos! Bank account hates me but my skin loves me hahaha
🤣🤣🙌🏽 YASSSSSSSS beautifully said 💚
I hear you! 😂😂😂
This video almost made my head explode! I’m a licensed esthetician and could not even continue the whole thing it was so bad. I ALMOST PASSED OUT. HAD REAL ANXIETY! I’m so mad lol 😂 but hey! Keep this routine up and you’re keeping me in business! I’ll be ready to combat your broken capillaries and hyper/hypopigmentation and lovely texture you create 🤗
ALSO IF YOURE PREGNANT YOU CAN NOT STEAM YOUR FACE!!! It is a contraindication!! Steam is to loosen up sebum, and help your products penetrate a bit easier, and so call “activate” certain OTHER ingredients in masks.
I also never heard a real REASON she actually uses any of these products. It was just “it’s sooo good”. 😑
You seem like a very sensitive person if this video made you feel like all of that...Yikes
Melasma can be triggered through an estrogen dominance in the body. Such as a birth control pill, pregnancy, and pcos which causes a passive hyperpigmentation (pretty hard to treat and keep under control) friction, heat, and stress can all increase “melasma” like susan mentioned about steam
this is one of the weirdest skincare routines i have ever seen
It almost seems like joke.
Did u see Jeannie Mai
She steamed SO MUCH!
Gurl! I feel you Susan- I first watched Jada’s routine on Hyram’s reaction video, and i was like how is he not cringing (as badly as I was)?! 😬 😆
He was way too diplomatic during this reaction 😄
@@veronicaivanova hahaha righttt??? I feel like this is one of the few videos he was really bisad to because of how much love I feel he has for Jada. Oftentimes he is more “harsh” and honest but this time I thought he was too nice 😂
I just hope she applies her sunscreen and reapply the sunscreen after all that exfoliation she did.. 😫😫😫😫
susan: "i thought there was gonna be a diy portion....and that's why everyone was messaging me"
me: oh, there is. just wait a little. lololol (it's not horrific though, no essential oils, at least)
Steam dehydrates your skin. Dermatologists advise patients with dry skin to avoid spending long periods of time in steamy hot showers, and instead take short lukewarm showers.
39:34 IM DEADDD😂 HOW MANY STEAM SESSIONS DOES A PERSON NEED 💀
You straight up had me waiting for that time stamp since I saw ur comment 😂
“I’ve been waiting for this one!”
I completely feel Jada on the dry eyelids. My eyelids get so dry sometimes the skin peels in that area. For a flare up, I use a flare up control cream and moisturize with La Roche-Posay Lipikar Eczema cream. Keeps it under control. I'm 47 and this issue started about 2 years ago. So far these two products have kept it under control.
Jada’s probably gonna be the next celeb to come out with a skincare line
Might release a steamer.
🤣😂😭
“At this point im like pleaseee do the mask”
Hahaha, I cracked up!!
Dr Alexis Stephens reacted to this and said she may have a skin condition that's the reason for her imbalance and build up on her eyelids, eyebrows, and behind her ears. Interesting
You’re all forgetting that Jada is a back woman. Black people skin is different from non black people. Black skin is different so no comparison there.
@@idi58marbell35 dr Alexis stephens is a black woman, a dermatologist..
Yeeeeees, I was waiting for this 😌 I love how Susan always comes with new and constructive information and criticism👏🏾
I guess when you have grown children you have the time to do a skincare routine of that magnitude 😂
🤣🤣🤣 Seriously!
When you are rich I don't think you care even if the kids are small, you probably have a live in babysitter.
I could never 😩😩😩
Has Susan ever done a hair routine video? Her hair looks great and I'd love to know some details
She has thick lovely hair
Omg I gasped when Susan put that picture of the broken capillaries on the screen!
Yes! That was so hard to watch! I could feel the pain.
Jada:
Susan: 😮😮 “did she just steam again?!”
I SCREAMED when she's like "I like to touch my face and be one with my skin" lol at celebrities trying to turn face washing into a spritiual thing!!
It actually is. And I ain't famous.
Right?!
@@harriettubman337 You're historical
When I tell you I died laughing to Susan's reaction hearing "The blaster"
THE MIDDLE PART IS EVERYTHINGGGGG
Susan your makeup look! Gorgeous! Love the Smokey eye and the pink sweater is adorable.
Haha! I knew the video would pain you! So glad you did another video! I’ve missed them.
Omg you crack me up! Loved this reaction just as much as Bella Thrones😂
This was hilarious 😂😂
As a skincare fanatic this was just so funny to watch because of how ridiculous and uninformed Jada is 🙄😂😂, don't listen to celebs people!
Update: OK I watched to the end and u have a new subscriber lool great no bs advice 😊
Yesssss about products that 'no longer work' thank you Susan!! Surely it's more that we have an unrealistic expectation of a product so it had worked to til maximum potential and we're no longer satisfied. 100%
How many times are you going to steam your face, Jada?
Jada: Yes
When I lived in England in 1979, a make up artist talked with me more about skin care then make up. Encouraging me to have a great skin care routine, since I came from Florida to England. Extreme environmental change. So grateful for my friend in England in 1979.
Black don't crack sista! Wheeew girl! My face is burning meeeeee😍
This was my favorite reaction to date!!!! 😂😂 Love Susan!!!
So nice to hear Susan talking about ZO! It completely changed my skin!!
I love microdermabrasion but I would never do it on myself. I have also never had someone do it with a cleanser.
The very first thing I saw her in was a Different World in 1992 - I was 2yrs old and literally have pictures of myself as a toddler watching that show lol I actually grew up with her
That shirt looks so comfy!
OMG .. the minute Jada released her video, I kept coming to your channel looking for this video! Yaasss!!!
“So, not true”. “That’s not true at all”. 😭😂
Susan you are our skincare momma❤️ you save us and teach us everything😍❤️
She just triggered my anxiety with all the over exfoliating and steaming she did 😞
If we all had the lovely blessing of genetics.. 😭 Btw this is why I love you Susan, your reactions and knowledge is priceless and makes my day!
Nice middle parted hair style Susan. Saw Jada's skincare routine at hyram's. The micro dermabrasion scared me most + the multiples steaming. 😬
You look so beautiful Susan, love your makeup look here!
I love skincare too. In Japan, where i used to live and work, i get monthly facials from professional aestheticians and they steam your face all through the facial session. I was weirded by it at first but i saw how my skin improved a lot which is why i bought my own steam as per advice of the aesthetician. Japanese have amazing skin!
That machine isn't really a "Pro" machine. You can buy lots of machines like this and even more intense on Ebay or even Amazon. They all come from China and they aren't shooting the crystals out like the pro ones too. They simply have a coated tip that's coated in grit and is coupled with suction. That machine looks more intense than it is, I have that exact one.
That makes me feel a little better. You could still see the suction marks on her skin though.
@@SusanYara oh yea, it has good suction lol. I never use it anymore. Microdermabrasion is so old school anyway.
@@SusanYara Those marks killed me. 😭 Then adding the scrub cloth and two retinol products. She must have really resilient skin, as you said.
@@steven_ryan not to mention the benzoyl peroxide clay mask
@@ruthmagee1446 Oh man, yeah, that too! Just too much.
A girlfriend and I were just talking about Jada's skincare routine today so I am curious what you are going to say.
So excited! Can't wait to hear your thoughts.
I’m always amazed how confidently some people talk about things they haven’t researched and don’t really understand lol - there were so many old, debunked-a-million-times myths coming from Jada!
me too! chill time after a long day at work :)
I love Susan’s sweater
Amen to changing up your skincare routine based on your skin needs at the time. Pregnancy dryness right now is so bad it has me slathering myself in super thick CeraVe every night when ordinarily that would break me out.
hahahaha Susan you look like genuinely upset. Skincare reactions tend to be exaggerated but you look like really affected by this skincare routine 😭 my sympathy 💕
Susan you look so beautiful in this video... your hair & makeup are on point🥰
She has 50, she looks really young, like 25. She doesn't have wrinkles, saggy skin. She looks perfect.
LORD I'm been waiting for this video for sooooooooo long
Your responses are hilarious! I love Jada, her routine was insane but she's blessed with good genetics. I'm sure she could rub motor oil on her skin and she would come out good 😂
I would love to hear you or another professional talk about how nutrition and outside factors play a roll in skin conditions and reactions. I don't think that's covered enough and a lot of people really need hear that no matter what you're putting on your face genetics play a role, what youre putting in your body plays a role and environmental factors play a role in the condition of your skin.
@SusanYara you are so elegant in your reactions! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I’m learning a lot, thanks❤️
Steam is Not good for rosacea neither is a microdermabrasion. Signed an esthetician
Okay I don't know what Susan did differently with her makeup or skincare but she looks younger here!!
She is so beautiful, her skin is gorgeous.
This is great!! Susan I agree with you! I have learned so much from you !!! I have been watching these videos and I know if they are doing something wrong. lol I am like yikes!!! Thanks for all you do!! Keep up the amazing work!!!
I was waiting this extra beautiful Jade video 💞
I try to drink a gal and a half of water a day. Do you need that much water a day? Absolutely not, especially if you're not active or have regular use of a bathroom.
Bedtime bedroom tip: Try not drinking anything 1 to 2 hrs before going to the bed. To reduce the need to pee every few hrs while sleeping
With 12 bottles u have to live in the bathroom😂😀😀
I can hear Dr. Dray on her channel right now saying, “What is she doing?? Please do not copy her!”
Mylastestaddiction I honestly think even the "tough love" beloved Dr. Dray would pass out during or after having watched this video!😳😬🤤😂🤣
@@ginalaperuginanyc7641 I honestly don’t think she’d have even watched all of Jada’s video. I can see her shutting it off saying, “Enough of that.”
Susan I have been binge watching your videos all day and evening. Thank the lord I am off work tomorrow because i am holding you responsible for keeping me up this late 😂 Love from London, England! X
Dr Alexis Stevens review of this routine was so funny as well
Susan pleaaase do another make-up routine. I always love the colors on your lips and cheeks and want to wear them too :(
Your advice and way of explaining is really great. I care about my skin as much as my life. Because the structure of my skin is different and does not accept every product. Or rather, it doesn't work. However, I would like to point out one thing that I bought a cream called RWLMAX cream 3 months ago. It really cleared up the dry layer on my skin and the acne I was uncomfortable with in a really quick time. I really couldn't believe it. I really recommend you to try it. Because it works!
32:30 her reaction omg ☠️
I was waiting for your reaction to this one! Lol. I saw a derm do her reaction video and she was not happy about the steam! 🤣
OMG ! Susan's reactions to the misconceptions were so funny in this video 😂😂
I am a hairdresser, what most people don't know it that they way they make the "no more tears" is by making the baby shampoo/wash the same ph level as the eyes notthe skin or hair. By using it in her eye area could actually be creating the reason she feels she needs that step. With all the steaming, would that trigger her sebaceous glands to become over or under active?
And can we just talk about her not changing out the water in her rinse bowl but keeping on using it as it got dirtier?
yes then 50 minute video 👌🏼
Can you plleeaseeee do more skincare reactions?!!?! It's been forever and I really miss them! I learn so much from them
I kid you not, I got an ad for an at-home microdermabrasion tool after this video.
your face when she went and steamed again after the mask 😂omg this was a hard one
"pleeeease do the mask, but don't do the mask please" 😂😂😂 💜you!
Omg! Her marks 😱😱😭😭
Oh my lawd, her skin is perfect! It made me laugh the amount of times she steamed her face! Most of what she done wasn't needed though. I was nervous when she started with the microdermabrasion machine the sound of the suction too. No Ody she use that machine themselves unless they're experienced to! 🤦🏽♀️
There is a thing like overhydration. Drink when you are thirsty.
i am never thirsty 😔
Hard to over hydrate. Damned hard.
I heard somewhere that you should just drink regularly and that when you are thirsty you are already dehydrated? Not sure of that’s true but I think you can definitely over-hydrate and that it can actually be dangerous.
CAN YOU PLEASE DO A VIDEO ON HELPING WITH BROKEN CAPALARIES (don't know how to spell that)
Yes please!!!
Don't worry about the spelling. Thank goodness for autocorrect. Lol! I get broken capillaries easily and the only way to get rid of them is to have a Dermatologist zap them. Unfortunately.
Good to see you back. Missed you
Hey I love your reaction videos a lot . I am actually being able to learn a lot. Just because you emphasis so much on double cleanse I started it with a cleansing balm and a gel water based cleanser . And I am seeing a difference after almost 2 months. Thank you very much ❤️...... Please look at Phoebe Tonkin's night time skincare routine . I think you would have some points to talk about 😊
Awww I love Phoebe Tonkin!!! 🥰 I don't remember what was wrong with her skincare routine though, it was so long ago 😃
@@veronicaivanova actually it was on November 2020 .😊 I had some questions about her suppliment taking and using an oil before the serum and the moisturizer. I like her very much too❤️
