@@TheBigburcie I love your idea, now that's a coffee shop I'd want to hang out in. I don't know if we can blame it on the pandemic, but SADLY the channel has fallen into inactivity. Only one video in the last six months. It would DEVASTATE me if this channel died. I pray it flourishes again.

I don’t know how you could do both a low and high voice at the same time and have it blend but you did it
I see this song maybe a bit more metaphorically than others. For me the line “simple thing where have you gone?” Reminds me of all the simple, tender and open parts of Me personally and how I have not necessarily been true to those ideals as I’ve “walked this land” - and the quiet place is that place where Me and I can meet, see each other with compassion, forgiveness and self appreciation. Truly a special place “that only we know”.
I was ready to criticize this cover. I've heard too many versions of "Somewhere Only We Know" that strip the song of its essential desperation and drive. You've really captured something fresh. There's a heartbreak and longing in this version that carries the piece to new heights.

This song gets me every time - it was one of the favourites of the late Jo Cox MP.
I had never heard this song before tripping over it here on YT. The more I listen to it, the more I find it full of sweetness and, yes, longing. It fits my life right now - bittersweet memories and a yearning to hold on to something that is slipping away.

I am listening again and again ... The small but impactful melodic changes and connections are so artfully and emotionally delivered. I hang on every note and every word. Abby does right by the songwriter. The guitars are inspirational and complete the piece.

I love the way this cover is far more emotionally authentic than the original. Their isn't anything forced or gimmicky, just a band coming together to let this trenches story tell itself. The visceral connection is here to pull the hear strings.
