Superb performance. As other comments said "very surprised to hear this Rachmaninoff piece played so perfectly on the guitar".
The molody in the bass was well executed and the resonance is sustained long. Superb control of Melody and accompaniment. Suoerb technique in the 2nd movement, flawless technique while maintaining the legato of the melody and changes in chord.
Some surprises in using semi rasquados in some chords, add different character to the performance.

Edith, quelle merveille !

A very close friend of mine, been a musician for forty years, absolutely hates classical music. But he has a stack of albums of various Rachmaninov symphonies.
My friend is a heavy metal/hard rock guitarist and vocalist and he always says if classical music had a rock, fringe, composer, it’s Rachmaninov. I’m not sure what he means by that, but then again I find classical music interesting but cannot be confused with a connoisseur.

I actually enjoy Rachmaninov because through by friend, I’ve had more access to it, since the early 80s. So, I don’t get the connection he makes to metal.
I’m a huge fan of rock that’s very much on the fringe, because that’s where I am. I’m by no means status quo. Tony, my friend and I connected over similar upbringing and similar tastes in music, movies and literature.
I have been wondering how he formed his view of Rachmaninov but, through all these years, I refused to have him break it down for me. I’m afraid of feeling like a bigger idiot than I already lay claim to.

Wow… as a long time musician and a Rachmaninoff lover, I haven’t seen a performance so neat, expressive and professional on the guitar of one of his musical pieces before. Your arrangement and adaptation is simply outstanding.

Hi do you recognise this familiar tune in an obscure death metal band Abramelin song Stargazer (The Summoning) arpeggio at 4:41
6 string classical standard E tuned, starts with one guitar
      Em D C D,
      Em D C D G,
      Em D C D,
      Em C D,
      Em D C D,
eventually a second and third join in,
I forget the specific Spanish flamenco stlye name for the technique but is this an original composition or does anyone recognise the tune because it is feels so familiar?

Wow!! What a stellar arrangement, and beautifully played as well!
Rachmaninoff may have gotten sick of this piece but I for one have always loved it's melancholic and intensely passionate nature. Thank you for sharing and I wish you a prosperous and happy year! 🙏

That was incredible. The level of touch that you exhibited in the opening measures, I'm sure that most pianists would be jealous of. Very cool arrangement! You really maintained the piano like feel of the piece while also letting the character of classic guitar take center stage when you needed to.

I'm gobsmacked. You are incredible. This song was a big part of my growing up, i was fascinated with it and learned it on piano. I also learned guitar in that time but i would never in my wildest DREAMS think of doing some kind of crossover like this. You are a mad-lass.
