But in terms of changes Bf2 didn't make a lot of changes beside the microtransaction stuff ( it doesn't even need any changes because it was good from the start , sea of thieves made a lot of change in the actual game and it was just trash in the past . reaR6 only reached it's potential in 2018/2019 when Ubisoft finally admitted it's their most popular game .

I literally just bought this game a week ago and have opened 2 loot crates. They're in the game. Only cosmetics and they dont affect gameplay but they are there.

There are a lot of people that have no idea who or what's in the game now because they a avoided it at launch because of loot box crap. Which is part of the reason for this video.
And just like The Master Chief Collection, Battlefront II has redeemed itself. I've never bought either of the two modern Battlefronts, but I think I will now.
Archangel980 i got mcc that christmas which was like a month after it came out that year and it was still bad cause of the matchmaking it took soo long to find a match and half the time they werent full matches i love mcc but it didnt get "good" until about 6-8 months later
THERE ARE NO GODDAMN COSMETIC LOOTBOXES!!! The only cosmetic “loot box” is a free skin starter pack for the clones and the clone skin bundles. This needs clarification because people are probably going to think these “cosmetic loot boxes” are the same as Overwatch’s. Also, GA was never added, it was there since launch and it’s got nothing to do with capture the point. It’s a linear, 3 or 4 phased mode (depends on the map) of attack and defence (depending on the side), and objectives aren’t just capturing. There’s sabotage, override, destroy, walker, etc.
NOTE: EA has been out of the battlefront project (from a development standpoint) for quite some time now. Most of these changes have been provided by the small team of DICE devs working on this game. So everyone who reads this comment, thank the DICE devs if you have a chance, and don't give credit to EA. Edit: Guys I mean that EAs presence isn’t as heavy Edit 2: Wow so many ea soyboys

Yeah they got the backlash they deserved when the game launched but the dev team has done a really great job fixing it. I find it weird when people say "I don't care, I'll never buy it because of the launch". Like what's the point of complaining about the game if you aren't going to play the game once they've fixed what you wanted to be fixed?

I have been playing since the beta and got the game 3 days before official release. I believed in this game. I believed in Dice. I’m very glad I did. Watching this game grow to be what it is now from what it is something many people thought could never possibly happen. As a died hard battlefront 2 fan who plays this game religiously I bought this game 2 times and sold it 2 times but the 3rd time I bought it right before the changed the stamina and blocking system, now this game is the best starwars game of this generation period. Fallen Order is good but that’s a single player EXPERIENCE this is the best starwars multiplayer experience out there right now we’ll done DICE hats off to you for bringing this game back from the brink.

Chris Garcia There’s no major bugs anymore. Small ones and bugs thst are probably tied to Frostbite engine which they need to figure out for the future before developing Frostbite from 3 to 4. And you have to give DICE credit for developing own game engine rather than settling for an copy paste graphics unreal or unity. Blame EA for making it a buggy mess, not putting enough resources for developing the game engine rather than doing it at the same time while working on Battlefield games and Frostbite engine. Some bugs come with updates but are usually hotfixed in few days. But yeah I have never played a single game without bugs so don’t act like every other game is perfect. Didn’t Skyrim win tons of game of the year awards even tho it was and IS STILL the buggiest mess among the gaming industry.
the triple xp bonus going on right now makes it a perfect time to hop back in. just maxed out all of the basic troops and im working on heroes rn. I usually only play competitive games like ow league and siege, but bf2 is an amazing break from all of the tilt
This game has been pretty solid for almost a year now with regular FREE content updates. I’m so glad that it is now the product they promised us and is getting the attention it now deserves. Played this game since the beta and I can honestly say it’s been a fantastic journey. The content feels like it’s just beginning too, BF2s future is brighter than ever. I recommend the celebration edition as it’s perfect for all those who want all the cosmetics they’ve released so far
I'm hoping the same for BF V but after the latest 5.2 patch, even after they reverted some of the changes, I can't really trust Dice with Battlefield anymore. They need to fire the people who are in charge of Battlefield 5 and have the Battlefront leadership take over. But then again, I think Disney cracking the whip on EA and Dice was the true reason why Battlefront 2 is good.

I can't put the damn thing down. I just flat out didn't buy it after reading the reviews about how it was pay to win. But i saw it at Wal-Mart a few weeks ago for $20 and thought "why not?". I'd heard good things about the game recently. I must say it's absolutely amazing. It reminds me of the good old days of return to castle wolfenstein PVP back when i was in college and the internet was a new thing. I think it's easily the best big team v. big team PVP shooter you can buy right now. Oh yeah, and it's authentic star wars through and through. There's literally no reason not to buy this if you like multiplayer shooters and star wars. If you like those two things, it's the best game on the market TBH.
EA has a net worth of 23 billion. Disney has an estimated net worth of 130 billion. I don't know how those numbers would influence the court system, if at all, but that's a pretty substantial difference. They're not equals.
I have been playing this game since midnight release and I never left it, so I have seen the progression revamp, the content drought, the solo season, the year long Clone Wars season all the way up to where we are now, it's been one hell of a ride so far and the only thing I think is really needed right now is a weapon system overhaul with making the default blasters available all the time along with new weapons added

I just wanted my single player instant action and finally got it after 2 years. I legit didn't touch the game until now because of that and I hope they make a Galactic conquest. On a side note. Ive been playing this game since the beta. I've witnessed the changes throughout the years. Bad and good. I was playing through the content draught, the introduction of the progression system. The announcement of Capital Supremacy and the clone wars heroes. I was playing when every hero became free for everyone and I was there when the trailer for the galactic assault Geonosis map was shown off. All I'm saying is, from someone who has been playing this game from the beginning, from the ups and downs, from the disappoinment and excitement. I promise you, this is no longer an average star wars shooter. This is now THE star wars game you will be wanting to play, whether your a new, old or returning player. In conclusion, forget everything that happened at the start of this game's release. Look at it with a new perspective and join in with the fun that is going to be lasting for many years to come
@@Chrome2105 I'm not a fan of multiplayer directed games. They get boring after a couple matches, with nothing to keep you in the game. Its basically COD in the star wars universe. Light sabers in SWBF2 are pathetic, everything just feels so dumbed down. Its just not fun after 20 minutes or so (For me). I don't think it deserves praise for being "a good game" almost 2 years after launch. I think people get "fun" and "good" mixed up. It might but fun for LOTS of people, but it nowhere near a good game.

Swinging a light saber around with no form of direction is not "good" game design. Especially when you add more than one Jedi into the mix. I've actually been having such a blast with it lately, ever since they added Genosis, Droidaka's and capital supremacy I've been playing it fairly often so much pure fun.
I pre ordered the game and have been playing it since launch. A few months ago I decided to take a break from it so that I had time to play some other games, but with all this new content i'm going to have to come back to it. I have to say Battlefront 2 in its current state is the best its ever been. The game is surrounded with a lot of unnecessary controversy due to its terrible launch, but DICE has put so much work and effort into the game to the point where it is actually really fun to play. Since launch they have added a variety of game modes, the most popular being Capital Supremacy which is a lot like conquest from the original battlefront 2. The only thing I could ask for from this game other than just more heroes and weapons would be space to ground combat (just like they had in the original battlefronts), but I have a feeling that if we did get this it would be in a Battlefront 3, which is totally fine. It is definitely worth buying at full price ($25), especially if you're a huge star wars fan like I am. I see the game on sale a lot too if you just want to save some money.
As someone who has stuck with this game from the beginning through thick and thin I want to say thank you for giving this game a second chance and not only remembering it’s EA inspired launch, but looking at what the passionate devs at DICE has done to pull this game out of the gutter thank you and may the force be with us all

Pk Cakes it’s a lot better. Been playing since beta, it’s still missing something I feel like... but I assume everything it’s missing will eventually be added. I think they need to add new weapons & make lightsaber duels and combat more enjoyable though next, if they can work out the bugs and fix the somewhat generic gameplay it’ll be a 10/10
This and Titanfall 2 were the two biggest underappreciated games of their time. BF2 had it's greed issues but TF2... I can't remember why I never got into it at launch. Anyone remember? I'm playing both now and loving them.
1:38 Slight note. There aren't. The menu is still there, yeah, but it's pretty much completely unused at this point , you can buy bundles in the skin section.
This is free with ps plus for the whole month of June so I recommend getting it even if you don’t download it yet just get it to have it the download is over 100GB though

The modd are crazy ranging from upgraded graphics to custom offline modes to custom hero's and endless reskins. Plus PC servers are PACKED. This game is so much fun. I have it on Xbox since release and I didn't play it for a long time. Just recently I found myself back in again but now my gold run out and since I switched to PC I'm wondering if I should get it. It's like 14 bucks on Instant Gaming. I mean progression is gone. Should I wait for a possible BF3 or go for BF2?
I had played back during launch. I stopped playing after The Last Jedi update. Ive picked it back up about a week ago and love it. My favorite heros are the Commando Droid and the Jet Troopers.
it’s kind of just bland, it doesn’t have any events that actually make it special, it’s over explained and kind of difficult to properly engage with the characters or story, it’s all about the shooting and less about actual mechanics and the ai is kind of dumb, most of the gameplay seems the same and there are barely any real new mechanics of weaponry from the first one.

Igor Corrêa not really. He said GA is capturing points, when really it’s a linear, objective based gamemode that has more objectives than just capturing points. There’s also walker, sabotage, override and destroy (and I may be forgetting some)

Yeah they got the backlash they deserved when the game launched but the dev team has done a really great job fixing it. I find it weird when people say "I don't care, I'll never buy it because of the launch". Like what's the point of complaining about the game if you aren't going to play the game once they've fixed what you wanted to be fixed?

I’ve always enjoyed it but it just needed time and patience.
There aren't any loot boxes, you have skin bundles where you get several skins for a cheaper price that use the same UI as the loot boxes.
It's an EA game and lootboxes are,mandatory in some form . It would be a miracle if Fallen Order 2 if it ever released won't have lootboxes or microtransactions. Because the EA way is *It's not lootboxes it's suprise mechanics*

Chris Garcia There’s no major bugs anymore. Small ones and bugs thst are probably tied to Frostbite engine which they need to figure out for the future before developing Frostbite from 3 to 4. And you have to give DICE credit for developing own game engine rather than settling for an copy paste graphics unreal or unity. Blame EA for making it a buggy mess, not putting enough resources for developing the game engine rather than doing it at the same time while working on Battlefield games and Frostbite engine. Some bugs come with updates but are usually hotfixed in few days. But yeah I have never played a single game without bugs so don’t act like every other game is perfect. Didn’t Skyrim win tons of game of the year awards even tho it was and IS STILL the buggiest mess among the gaming industry.

This game has been pretty solid for almost a year now with regular FREE content updates. I’m so glad that it is now the product they promised us and is getting the attention it now deserves. Played this game since the beta and I can honestly say it’s been a fantastic journey. The content feels like it’s just beginning too, BF2s future is brighter than ever. I recommend the celebration edition as it’s perfect for all those who want all the cosmetics they’ve released so far
I'm hoping the same for BF V but after the latest 5.2 patch, even after they reverted some of the changes, I can't really trust Dice with Battlefield anymore. They need to fire the people who are in charge of Battlefield 5 and have the Battlefront leadership take over. But then again, I think Disney cracking the whip on EA and Dice was the true reason why Battlefront 2 is good.

I can't put the damn thing down. I just flat out didn't buy it after reading the reviews about how it was pay to win. But i saw it at Wal-Mart a few weeks ago for $20 and thought "why not?". I'd heard good things about the game recently.
I must say it's absolutely amazing. It reminds me of the good old days of return to castle wolfenstein PVP back when i was in college and the internet was a new thing. I think it's easily the best big team v. big team PVP shooter you can buy right now.
Oh yeah, and it's authentic star wars through and through.
There's literally no reason not to buy this if you like multiplayer shooters and star wars. If you like those two things, it's the best game on the market TBH.

I have been playing this game since midnight release and I never left it, so I have seen the progression revamp, the content drought, the solo season, the year long Clone Wars season all the way up to where we are now, it's been one hell of a ride so far and the only thing I think is really needed right now is a weapon system overhaul with making the default blasters available all the time along with new weapons added

Ive been playing this game since the beta. I've witnessed the changes throughout the years. Bad and good. I was playing through the content draught, the introduction of the progression system. The announcement of Capital Supremacy and the clone wars heroes. I was playing when every hero became free for everyone and I was there when the trailer for the galactic assault Geonosis map was shown off. All I'm saying is, from someone who has been playing this game from the beginning, from the ups and downs, from the disappoinment and excitement. I promise you, this is no longer an average star wars shooter. This is now THE star wars game you will be wanting to play, whether your a new, old or returning player. In conclusion, forget everything that happened at the start of this game's release. Look at it with a new perspective and join in with the fun that is going to be lasting for many years to come

@@Chrome2105 I'm not a fan of multiplayer directed games. They get boring after a couple matches, with nothing to keep you in the game. Its basically COD in the star wars universe. Light sabers in SWBF2 are pathetic, everything just feels so dumbed down. Its just not fun after 20 minutes or so (For me). I don't think it deserves praise for being "a good game" almost 2 years after launch. I think people get "fun" and "good" mixed up. It might but fun for LOTS of people, but it nowhere near a good game.

Swinging a light saber around with no form of direction is not "good" game design. Especially when you add more than one Jedi into the mix. It was Capital Supremacy that was released Dec 2018. Galactic Assault has been there since launch!
CS was added March 2019. Geonosis, a map for GA, was added in November 2018. In December 2018 they just added Obi Wan’s Clone Wars skin
I pre ordered the game and have been playing it since launch. A few months ago I decided to take a break from it so that I had time to play some other games, but with all this new content i'm going to have to come back to it. I have to say Battlefront 2 in its current state is the best its ever been. The game is surrounded with a lot of unnecessary controversy due to its terrible launch, but DICE has put so much work and effort into the game to the point where it is actually really fun to play. Since launch they have added a variety of game modes, the most popular being Capital Supremacy which is a lot like conquest from the original battlefront 2. The only thing I could ask for from this game other than just more heroes and weapons would be space to ground combat (just like they had in the original battlefronts), but I have a feeling that if we did get this it would be in a Battlefront 3, which is totally fine. It is definitely worth buying at full price ($25), especially if you're a huge star wars fan like I am. I see the game on sale a lot too if you just want to save some money.

it’s kind of just bland, it doesn’t have any events that actually make it special, it’s over explained and kind of difficult to properly engage with the characters or story, it’s all about the shooting and less about actual mechanics and the ai is kind of dumb, most of the gameplay seems the same and there are barely any real new mechanics of weaponry from the first one.

Igor Corrêa not really. He said GA is capturing points, when really it’s a linear, objective based gamemode that has more objectives than just capturing points. There’s also walker, sabotage, override and destroy (and I may be forgetting some)

I played Battlefront 2015 for like 4 years, I then got battlefront 2 and deleted it within a week. I heard that it changed roughly a month ago and I’ve play it daily ever since. It’s changed a lot and it’s been a journey. Also, if you spam Mind Trick with Rey in HvV, I hate you.
