As a owner of the V2 panigale and having tested the monster 950, the v2 is smoother more linear with way more topend power. The monster has more low down torque, way more fun on tight twisties. The v2 is more fun on open B roads and on track👍🏻
Yeah the V2 has definitely got a smother engine, but yeah the Monster is great round the twistiest , the SF V2 is a bit different to the Panigale v2 in that I noticed different size sprockets on it so it’s not so geared for top end but that’s kinda normal for a SF .. I think there both great bikes and will just come down to peoples budget and personal preference :)

Excellent comparison. I think they are great bikes, $4k savings on the 848!!! I've never owned/ridden any version of the Monster. I think it's pure signature Ducati. But, the SuperSport 950S - I think you sit in it, more like the Monster. Same $$'s, slightly more power, small 4.7" TFT, could be a collector bike?
Thanks, yeah they are great , the Supersport for me is nicer to ride then a 848 mainly because of the riding position, was out on one today actually, they are such a great road bike and yeah you sit in the bike more then you do on the 848, everything is easier :)

Hey good to have you back😂 , clever vid that , its not an easy choice all down to money i suppose, please buy Paul some new masking tape to cheer him up 😂😂,thanks for entertaining us again 👍🏻
For me The Monster is more comfortable, it’s a bit softer and you sit more in the bike , the Streetfighter your more on the bike, but we are all different, best thing to do is sit or even ride both and see what you think
Hello! Your videos are fab. So glad to have stumbled upon your channel. Could you please tell me - how you have setup your vlogging gear (microphone you are using and placement)? I am super intrigued at how there hardly any wind noise even with he visor open. It will be very helpful. Thank you so much.
I have the monster absalutely love it all il ever need for the roads round n ireland great vid guys if am ever over that way il call in for a cheese toastie lol.
Yeah the Monster is such a great bike , people are always surprised how good it is when they ride it..definitely do that.. we’ve always gods food and tea !!
Great vids boys, my wife is about to drop a deposit on the Monster, which means I get to ride it too as well as my 1200 enduro. I'm a Brit living in Canada, sill lots of snow here.
For 6 hours plus?? Personally I’d have the monster for comfort but everyone is different and will find one bike is more comfortable then the other … you would have to test ride them to choose I guess.. there’s not that much in it.. huh maybe another day I would have the SF?? Either way after 6hrs I would need a massage and a lay down 😂😂
Thank you so much for posting this. I am currently riding a BMW F850GS, but itching to get a bike specifically to cruise around the roads here in Arizona. I've only been riding for a couple years, and while most agree the monster is more forgiving with all the electronics it has built in (like wheelie control), I'm just plain drawn to the Streetfighter. I just think it's better looking. Do you see any discernable difference when it comes to a rider who is not new, but not experienced either? Is it smarter to grab the monster and upgrade later (if you can even call it an upgrade?)
Ok first the Monster, or Streetfighter are going to feel so different to you BMW.. like they are goons feel amazing, to me I think the monster would be a better choice for you in the aspect of riding (and actually learning a lot ) but yeah the V2 does look cool, has a smoother, more powerful engine, but only u can decide which one mate.. get to a dealer and try both out /)
Well I am only 5’8 so I don’t really know with your height , the Monster is a more comfy bike for me , the Streetfighter feels a little bigger, but maybe different for yourself , even in height everyone leg, torso and arm sizes are different , the best thing to do is go to a Ducati dealer a sit on one or get a test ride , going to be the best way to find out , Liam here is 6”1 and he thinks the Streetfighter is good for him
@@ProjectMoto to look at both :) I think its going to come down to size.. I fear the Monster might be too small for me as I am over 6 foot. Has the V2 got the same usable power as the Monster?
@@joshuadavidwallen I'm 6ft 1 with relatively long legs and fit perfectly fine. Mine is supposed to arrive this month (fingers crossed). The Monster has the better torque curve for the road in my opinion. But I just had a short ride on a Panigale V2 and will try to rent a Streetfighter V2 for one or two days this year.
Great vid, best comparison I’ve seen. Love the extra bits in it too 😂😂 Is the monster, or has the monster brought out a 1200 version??? Can’t get a straight answer 😫
can't believe for a test rider that you could not feel that the forks were twisted on the black one, watch the video and give me a reply, absolutely obvious!
Ha well I’m not a ‘test rider’ , I’m a biker who loves bikes… the forks were not twisted at all… it’s the lense on the camera is on the left so it’s the angle that you see the handle bars.. absolutely obvious
IMO, the 937 motor is lumpy, unrefined, doesn't like to rev and has no place in such an expensive bike. I'd happily pay the extra for the SF as it's truly a wonderful engine, it just feels like it cost a lot more to develop.
Yeah the V2 SF is a smoother twin engine and gearbox for sure , everything is a bit better all over but it does cost more, personally I enjoy both for different reasons
I’ll get the monster now and eventually a panigale in the garage maybe one day :P ... if I can’t afford both in a few years I’ll trade the monster in on a street fighter
Mate all good choices .. the monster and Streetfighter V2 will be just a personal choice for people what they prefer .. some days I like one better then other, both awesome bikes 😎
yeah budget always comes into it for most people, they are both great bikes, for me to the v2 is better but then for the same money you could have the Monster with a Termignoni Exhaust and a few extras... tough choice if you have a £15k budget,Standard V2 or Monster and Extras.. if you not got the Budget i still think the Monster is the Best bike vs £££'s Ducati have right now, you get a lot of bike for the Money
Tried the SF V2 and found it a bit too stiff for bumpy B roads. Is the monster a bit more comfortable and is the sf v4s even more comfortable for B roads
I would say personally the Monster is the most comfortable of the 3 bikes , just softer and better riding position, but everyone is different, go and have a sit on them or a demonstrator ride :)
No problem , i wouldn’t say it has the same grunt as the Diavel 1260 , , but it’s not supposed too really , best bet would be to get a test ride on one and see what you think , it’s hard to know what someone wants from a bike, they are both really good but for different reasons
I have a monster sp and I would like to change to this street fighter V2 but the only thing that stops me is the low torque at low rpm because many say that this street fighter has little torque at low rpm. I had a Panigale V2 so in theory it's an engine I know well and always in theory they have shortened the ratios on this street fighter...is there really such a lack of torque at low revs?
Well, its the super quattro engine but with 2 extra teeth on the rear sprocket, like You said, so its not super torquey at low rpms, but it pulls fine from 4.000rpm, and when You hit 6.500rpm it feels faster than the monster. I dont miss more torque tbh, but in the end its up to You to decide that 😊
Sorry I did reply to this before but it obviously didn’t update for some reason, like the other guy who replied said but yeah I would say at 4,000 revs if you pulled the throttle on both bikes the monster might have the edge, if not there’s not much in it but as the revs go up a bit more the streetfighter would pull, not much in it though on twisty roads for me
Nice bike that v2 streetfighter, compared to the v4 streetfighter what's your thoughts? Comfort wise with the suspension on road mode with the v4 for example
Yeah it’s a great road bike to ride, the Streetfighter V4 for me is a better bike in everything but it can be a bit too much for the road , the V2 you can ride a bit harder and use the power more , just a personal preference really for the road, the seat is a bit more comfy on the V4 but again everyone is different shape, size and ride different so again it’s going to be down to the individual what’s best for them
@@ProjectMoto yeah 100% everyone is different and have different expectations of what a bike should be for them, but u do a good job of explaining on ya vids, straight to the points and a good laugh too. Hey where's the pikes peak vid 👍
That’s hard to say as we are all different sizes ,all sit on a bike and ride different , for me it would be the Monster but then again would probably prefer the V2 engine
Really The V4 tuono competition is the V4 Streetfighter tbh , that’s why this was done against the monster as they.are both sub 1000 twin cylinder , if we get a SF V4 and Tuono V4 maybe il do one :)
@@adamlee9071 here in Sweden both Tuono and Streetfighter are classified as Street bikes and since price and power of SFV2 and TuonoV4 are very close I could consider a comparision.
@@nihatdizdar4745 the power of those two bikes are delivered completely different and not even close on power numbers on paper either, maybe the price point would be the only thing that's comparible between them, that's it really, the streetfighter V4S is the bike to compare against the tuono
@@adamlee9071 I find the V4 Streetfighter dramatically more powerful than the Tuono V4 but you are right, maybe it’s closer to the comparision in behaviour/feeling.
@@ProjectMoto Thank you, trying to decide what to upgrade to, I'm not thrilled with my 2018 SV650X in the brake department, nor it's clipon bars, trying to decide what's next, the KTM 790/890 or the Ducati Monster have my interest, the stronger brakes and especially the lighter wet weights of those bikes.
@@lordgrinz the monster is a bit more comfy in my opinion then the ktm but you’ll have to go to a Ducati and ktm dealer and sit on them both and have a test ride of them and see what suits you best, everyone sits on and rides a bike different , see what you think

Yeah that’s definitely a good thing with Ducati’s they do hold their money .. well if you have one it’s good, if your trying to buy an older one not so good 😂
Tbh honest comfort is hard to say for someone else as we are all different , not sure I would find it comfier for long rides, best thing to do is get a test ride on one or sit on one and see how it feels
Thanks, Yeah the Hyper is a different category really , they are very different to ride then these.. these are comfy 😂😂 and softer then the Hyper, I like the hyper but only for one thing, a quick blast down the lanes, they are too stiff and hard for me for anything else, but for Handling, using the Quick shifter and throwing it into corners they are soo much fun, the Monster has the same engine as the Hyper 950, feels slightly different though, I don’t know.. as ever with all these bikes it’s a personal thing but I just prefer these naked bikes
I think Ducati pesent this year a monster v2 with 150hp, I don’t understand why do only the 937, this Coust 11k euros, and the next step is the stfv2 coust 18k. Maybe next year present a 937v2 with swingarm and 15k euros 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽
I don’t know if they will do anything any time soon , also don’t know if they really need to with how the Monster is now and of course they have the SF V2, we will see if they do anything in the future
Tbh I didn’t really notice it as it has been freezing outside , so if anything it helped to keep me warm, I was on a Panigale V2 Bayliss the other day for a while and didn’t have a problem then either due to the temperature, obviously on a hot day it will be different, as with any v-twin it can get hot under the seat, moving around on the bike I don’t usually have a problem unless I’m in traffic and it’s a hot day
@@ProjectMoto the bike will ride ok, the way to see it is to clamp a straight edge across the top and bottom of the forks something at least 1.5 to 2m long and you will see they are not parallel you need to release the clamps on the triple trees and with your legs holding the wheel in position, turn the handle bars until your straight edges are parallel, like you used to do on your pushbike
I think the new monster is essentially a baby Street fighter and that’s how it should’ve been pitched. They should’ve continued making the monster range separate to these bikes
Well there are both naked bikes but they are very different to ride , the monster you kind of sit more in the bike and for me is more comfy, the Streetfighter has a more aggressive stance when riding it
I like the 1200r’s , they are such cool bikes, alway enjoy riding them, these are similar bhp and weight but just different bikes to ride with the riding position, power delivery, gearing, handling etc..remember these are nearly 250cc less but a different engine and a modern design with the frame etc..tbh I like the Streetfighter stance you have and feel when your on the bike, the Monster 1200 has a good torqy engine, and to me a more of a ‘relaxed’ feel and comfort compared to the Streetfighter, the best thing to do is get a test ride on one and see what you think, everyone rides and uses bikes different, even roads they ride on , I think as long as you find a bike your comfortable on and you like then that’s all you need

Hey good to have you back😂 , clever vid that , its not an easy choice all down to money i suppose, please buy Paul some new masking tape to cheer him up 😂😂,thanks for entertaining us again 👍🏻
Thanks, ha he wasn’t happy about he’s masking tape 😂😂
Which one do you prefer monster 937 or street fighter? If were talking about the riding comfort? Without money issues😊
For me The Monster is more
comfortable, it’s a bit softer and you sit more in the bike , the Streetfighter your more on the bike, but we are all different, best thing to do is sit or even ride both and see what you think
Awesome video, making me want to pull the trigger on a V2 even more
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it… don’t test ride one then , your definitely want one 😂😂
Hello! Your videos are fab. So glad to have stumbled upon your channel.
Could you please tell me - how you have setup your vlogging gear (microphone you are using and placement)? I am super intrigued at how there hardly any wind noise even with he visor open.
It will be very helpful.
Thank you so much.
Thanks , glad you have found the channel.. tbh for the helmet it’s a go pro 7 I think and the mic is just a cheap one from eBay, nothing special
@@ProjectMoto Thank you.
Would like to see the same comparison but with the monster sp
Ok … we might have an SP we can use soon
I have the monster absalutely love it all il ever need for the roads round n ireland great vid guys if am ever over that way il call in for a cheese toastie lol.
Yeah the Monster is such a great bike , people are always surprised how good it is when they ride it..definitely do that.. we’ve always gods food and tea !!
Great vids boys, my wife is about to drop a deposit on the Monster, which means I get to ride it too as well as my 1200 enduro. I'm a Brit living in Canada, sill lots of snow here.
Ha awesome , yeah I’m sure your be having a blast on it 😂😂 we ain’t had no snow yet but just been cold and the usual damp British winter weather
Have the monster + now and love it but seriously considering the V2 tough decision to make 😢
It is a tough decision mate for sure , both great bikes , just depends on how and what you use it for , have you ridden the V2 yet ?
11 months later I’m back😂 just put a deposit down on a v2🎉 I find it just has that little more to offer, will miss my monster though
Comparing the two bikes if you had to ride one for 6+ hours throught the back roads of the countryside which one would it be?
For 6 hours plus?? Personally I’d have the monster for comfort but everyone is different and will find one bike is more comfortable then the other … you would have to test ride them to choose I guess.. there’s not that much in it.. huh maybe another day I would have the SF?? Either way after 6hrs I would need a massage and a lay down 😂😂
I like those Multistrada logo'd jackets. Do Chelmsford ducati sell them?
Yeah they are nice and warm too in this weather , yeah I think they do mate :)
Ok first the Monster, or Streetfighter are going to feel so different to you BMW.. like they are goons feel amazing, to me I think the monster would be a better choice for you in the aspect of riding (and actually learning a lot ) but yeah the V2 does look cool, has a smoother, more powerful engine, but only u can decide which one mate.. get to a dealer and try both out /)
@@ProjectMoto you’re the man! I’ll see if I can get my hands on either of them.
Great videos! Which is better for a tall rider 6'4" the monster or V2? Long distance? Keep the videos coming!
Well I am only 5’8 so I don’t really know with your height , the Monster is a more comfy bike for me , the Streetfighter feels a little bigger, but maybe different for yourself , even in height everyone leg, torso and arm sizes are different , the best thing to do is go to a Ducati dealer a sit on one or get a test ride , going to be the best way to find out , Liam here is 6”1 and he thinks the Streetfighter is good for him
@@ProjectMoto thanks! would you recommend a bar riser?
thanks for posting this mate, going down my local Ducati.
No problem, thanks .. but to look at what bike.. or both ?
@@ProjectMoto to look at both :) I think its going to come down to size.. I fear the Monster might be too small for me as I am over 6 foot. Has the V2 got the same usable power as the Monster?
@@joshuadavidwallen yeah just sit on them both and see,the V2 is a little faster but still useable
@@ProjectMoto good to know :)
Has anybody ordered the SF V2 with full Akra? Can’t wait to see/hear one with one on!
When we have one with a system on it I will do a video :)
just listen to a panigale V2 it is the same sound
Great vid, best comparison I’ve seen. Love the extra bits in it too 😂😂
Is the monster, or has the monster brought out a 1200 version??? Can’t get a straight answer 😫
Thanks , appreciate it, glad you enjoyed it, as a new bike they only do this Monster 937 now, they no longer sell new 797,821 or 1200 versions anymore
@@ProjectMoto thanks for the reply, spewing a little that the 1200 won’t make an appearance.
First I thought I'd love a croissant with jam but then cheesy toasties came up for grabs and I couldn't make up me mind so fark it I had both.
Ha , that exactly what I think all the time, shall I have that or that to eat.. whatever il have both 😂
What would you suggest for a courier bike inter City?and Inner London.
out of these two? i'd personally have a Monster, a bit easier all round
When do we see your announced video PP vs. V4s? 😉
When it’s ready , just been waiting for some parts but I might just have to do it before they come as unfortunately they have been on back order
can't believe for a test rider that you could not feel that the forks were twisted on the black one, watch the video and give me a reply, absolutely obvious!
I suppose it just depends on budget but for me its definitely the V2.
yeah budget always comes into it for most people, they are both great bikes, for me to the v2 is better but then for the same money you could have the Monster with a Termignoni Exhaust and a few extras... tough choice if you have a £15k budget,Standard V2 or Monster and Extras.. if you not got the Budget i still think the Monster is the Best bike vs £££'s Ducati have right now, you get a lot of bike for the Money
Thank you for the comparison. Streetfighter V2 or Diavel 1260(I do have one), does the SF V2 have the grunt for the street riding?
No problem , i wouldn’t say it has the same grunt as the Diavel 1260 , , but it’s not supposed too really , best bet would be to get a test ride on one and see what you think , it’s hard to know what someone wants from a bike, they are both really good but for different reasons
I have a monster sp and I would like to change to this street fighter V2 but the only thing that stops me is the low torque at low rpm because many say that this street fighter has little torque at low rpm. I had a Panigale V2 so in theory it's an engine I know well
and always in theory they have shortened the ratios on this street fighter...is there really such a lack of torque at low revs?
Well, its the super quattro engine but with 2 extra teeth on the rear sprocket, like You said, so its not super torquey at low rpms, but it pulls fine from 4.000rpm, and when You hit 6.500rpm it feels faster than the monster. I dont miss more torque tbh, but in the end its up to You to decide that 😊
Sorry I did reply to this before but it obviously didn’t update for some reason, like the other guy who replied said but yeah I would say at 4,000 revs if you pulled the throttle on both bikes the monster might have the edge, if not there’s not much in it but as the revs go up a bit more the streetfighter would pull, not much in it though on twisty roads for me
@@ProjectMoto i have decided to buy a sfv4 instead a v2 because i think on road is more important the torque of any other aspect
@@Carl4Ride oh ok , the V4 is an amazing bike, you won’t be disappointed :)
the audio was clearer with the visor down
Yeah was a bit windy out that day
Nice bike that v2 streetfighter, compared to the v4 streetfighter what's your thoughts?
@@adamlee9071 thanks , appreciate it… been riding the PPV4 today .. just finishing editing it, will be on tomorrow mate :)
@@ProjectMoto awesome, looking forward to it,did you get the parts on it you were waiting on
@@adamlee9071 no , but everyone was asking so much I had to just do it
We still wanna see the v2 v4 comparison
Just waiting on our new Streetfighter V4 to arrive :)
Let's face it the streetfighter sounds like a ducati should. Most people don't ride on the track because the whole road system is the track🤣
Yeah it does sound great , ha although people do use these on track your right… our Rosa are our track 😎
this will be a stupid question but which one will be a better commute bike for the highway and such?
That’s hard to say as we are all different sizes ,all sit on a bike and ride different , for me it would be the Monster but then again would probably prefer the V2 engine
@@ProjectMoto thank you
You should compare the V2 with Aprilia 1100 V4 Tuono.
Really The V4 tuono competition is the V4 Streetfighter tbh , that’s why this was done against the monster as they.are both sub 1000 twin cylinder , if we get a SF V4 and Tuono V4 maybe il do one :)
Two completely different bikes, the sfv4 yeah but the v2 is a street bike, not a race bike without fairings so how can one compare those bikes
Which one is better in tight city driving, basically which one is easier to toss around?
I would say the monster ,it’s a bit more nimble, thinner and lighter
Tell you wot Geezer. I had me leg over a hyperstrada in 2013. 10 grand then. I didn’t buy it. F’me they’re still 7 grand now with 10k on the clock!
Looks like bargin looking to back then.
Yeah that’s definitely a good thing with Ducati’s they do hold their money .. well if you have one it’s good, if your trying to buy an older one not so good 😂
@@ProjectMoto makes buying a new one a no brainier then..!
Wich one is more stable at higher speeds? Streetfighter?
I guess the Street fighter at high speeds, depends how fast you want to go
Do you think that the sf v2 would be more comfortable for longer trips than a 2020 speed triple rs
Tbh honest comfort is hard to say for someone else as we are all different , not sure I would find it comfier for long rides, best thing to do is get a test ride on one or sit on one and see how it feels
Tidy.. i didnt even consider a monster or V2, but i guess the Hyper is in another category
Hace usted vídeos realmente encantadores.
gracias, me alegra que los disfrutes :)
How is the heat compared to Panigale V2? Does SF V2 has the same issues?
Tbh I didn’t really notice it as it has been freezing outside , so if anything it helped to keep me warm, I was on a Panigale V2 Bayliss the other day for a while and didn’t have a problem then either due to the temperature, obviously on a hot day it will be different, as with any v-twin it can get hot under the seat, moving around on the bike I don’t usually have a problem unless I’m in traffic and it’s a hot day
Which one sounds best?
That will just be down to someone’s personal preference or taste in what they like , I like both tbh when you are on the throttle
p.s. my mate had a ktm 690 supermoto and he only realised that the forks were twisted after i told him and he had been riding it 3 years+
His forks were twisted in what way?? His handle bars were twisted??
@@ProjectMoto the bike will ride ok, the way to see it is to clamp a straight edge across the top and bottom of the forks something at least 1.5 to 2m long and you will see they are not parallel you need to release the clamps on the triple trees and with your legs holding the wheel in position, turn the handle bars until your straight edges are parallel, like you used to do on your pushbike
it will basically feel a bit like riding a crab
@@ProjectMoto in the triple trees see previous
I think the new monster is essentially a baby Street fighter and that’s how it should’ve been pitched. They should’ve continued making the monster range separate to these bikes
Well there are both naked bikes but they are very different to ride , the monster you kind of sit more in the bike and for me is more comfy, the Streetfighter has a more aggressive stance when riding it
Whats more comfortable?
Personally I think the Monster is more comfortable, but obviously everyone is different so only really sitting on them both will held you decide
Pikes peake part two? 🤔. Come on Mart ☹️😂
😂😂
Hanging to see it too
How does the monster 1200 compare to the street fighter v2?
Is that Mike from BB?
Yeah.. after BB it’s been a little quite so…
