At the same time he has 4c hair but everything depends on his porosity. If he has high porosity doesn’t mean she has to spray tons of water on his hair for the products to penetrate unless he has low porosity
lol thank you yea i think it turned out really good the crazy thing is when he rinsed his hair out (like just sat under the water) his curls were POPPINGGGGG even after it fully dried.
That's a nice THICK head of hair he's got. I think it looks good and would probably be better with someone who frequently gives their hair the proper moisture it needs..
yea hes got sooo much hair, and now that i just moved 2 hours away from him its gonna be harder for me to consistently take care of his hair but i wanna see it at its fullest potential
As a 4c member, the white residue is usually do to our low porosity, so maybe a drier afterwards may help. If there’s still some left, it’s just too much product.
@@prissNcurlss DEFINITELY read that as Danny Glover LOL I was gon say you BIG BUGGIN sis!! Hahaha He's so handsome Jess! You should've added that shine animation on his teeth when he smiled - he could be in a Colgate commercial!
I have 4c hair and I usually still have product or "residue" still visible in my hair for several hours after the application of the product due to my hair's low porosity nature. I just leave it to dry in my bonnet over night, and even then it will take a few more hours to finish dying and for the product to absorb. Love the content btw! 😊
Hair “type” pattern isn’t the real issue u have low porosity hair trying rinsing (once a week) or washing hair at least every 1-2 weeks. Miele pomegranate line is a good. It’s good to use a blow dryer or hooded dryer until hair is 80% dry or fully dried. Use light oils like shea NUT oil. unless doing hibernating styles. Try to use moisturizing products and less protein conditioners and leave ins until the end of the month (deep conditioners) until you have at least learned how to add protein in your regimen.
Btw my hair stylist gave me this regimen but every wash (shampoo) visit we run the water on my for at least 8 mins then gently shampoo scalp then condition then for 3 mins we rinse out product and my 4b/4c coils clumps together with light raking under the water Then she adds leave in, gel, and a little oil at the end . And hair products she uses are from avlon and Kera care
Definitely need to make sure you have your hair well moisturized to make them work. It will just look different for us 4Cs but it's still cute. Rock it girlie!!! 4Cs don't know the word "can't". 😉🤗
Fellow 4c-er here. I havent done a wash n go in years but when I did I found that warm water allows the product to penetrate more. Also creme products dont work as well for a bomb wash n go. Try just warm water, oil and then gel for us 4C girls.

His hair is not absorbing the products it’s just sitting 🪑 on top of his hair. It’s always best to test it on a small portion of the hair. Or test the products on your hand 🤚 mixing all the from the cream to the gel and if it starts to clump or create a white residue then that’s what it will do to the hair.
Hi final results came out great. I have 4C hair as well. The trick for a great wash n go when you have 4C hair is great moisturizing products and/or max hydration. Try your max hydration method first and then use the products. For my max hydration I use 1) great moisturizing shampoo 2) great moisturizing deep conditioner 3) clay mask treatment. After that Eco Olive is my go to gel and has yet to let me down.
The IG ad for the gel showed them brushing the gel through the hair not shingling. I think if you had put only the oil and gel in his hair and brushed it a tangle teaser or denman, it would have come out curlier (or not).

I'm 4c, if he lets you do it again, use the lan-o-lin oil 1st. Also, as you noted, the more product in 4c hair, the longer it takes to dry. Ah thank you for this!! Because he still has me doing his hair to this day and I’m still not sure of what I’m doing or if I’m doing it right lol thank you! :)
It came out really good
Based on these results I wouldn't try this on my hair. The residue on dried hair was ridiculous.
Great video. I've found that wetline and shingleing by twirling very small sections works best for doing a wash and go on my 4c hair.
Pair it with Taliah Waajids Curly Curl Cream. U won't be disappointed..
@@briannaroberson2024 thats exactly what I was thinking!! I wanna try that next.
The amount of length to shrinkage is ridiculous 🤩🤩🤩🤩Shrinkage plays too many games!
Does anybody know what's the name of the song Jess used?
Y’all cute or whatever. Hey Jess.
hahaha heyyyy
Finally! His coils look like mine!
they are so beautiful!!
Wow I've been watching RUclips tutorials for some years now and your bf is the first person I have seen that has hair just like mine. It just fluffs up instead of being really defined. Please update us with another tutorial if you find something that really defines his curls ❤
“He’s just a guy so he doesn’t like moisturize his hair and stuff” 😂😂😂
Thanks Jess for doing this. It'll be great for my daughters hair but for my 4C hair, Im not going to even attempt it. Lol
4secs HERE FIRST
You are first!!
2nddd 😂
Lol sorry y’all I was so surprised 😭 AMAZING VIDEO JESS!
ahaha hey babesss!
I LIVE for your ad libs!! 🤣🤣🤣. My son has 4c hair and even though he's barely 2, I can't wait for the day he lets me do his hair lol.
He's a cutie Jess!
thank yaaaa
@@OnlyOneJess yall look good together
Girl I appreciate you doing it on 4c hair and it came out beautiful😍😍 I have 4c hair as well and I’m always trying to figure out what products to use for a wash n go. I’m definitely going to try these.
Thank you🙏🏾💕
The residue didn't look good but there was curl definition. Btw he's cute!
yes i agreeeee. and thank youu!!=)
I'm 4c, if he lets you do it again, use the lan-o-lin oil 1st. Also, as you noted, the more product in 4c hair, the longer it takes to dry. But I did like the pop in in curls. 4c people really look for definition without a noticeable dryness. And when people know their own hair, they know if they need to do more or less. I watch your channel because of your personality. Keep that pleasantness about you.
Ayyy
The definition is good, but you were a little heavy handed with the product. Then again, if you used less product it probably wouldn't be as defined.
Yea I was like okay I gotta get the definition but yea I was def a bit heavy handed
I see some beautiful babies in ya'lls future. Yk, after marriage and all that good stuff lol 😆
hahaha hope soooo
Jess!!! We appreciate you girl! Thank you!
aw thank YOUU!!
As a 4c girly I’ve truly given up on trying to define my “curls” lol but his hair did come out good
lol thank you
congrats on 400k+ subscribers jess!!!! 🥰
thank you!!!
Try the deep hydration method on his hair please
Heyyyyy Jess 🥰 I think it looks good...but yes too much product! Also, keep in mind his hair probably isn’t use to product
it's definitely not used to product at all lol why are guys like this
