People complaining about suspension differential steering geometry etc come on guys it's just a EXTREME version of a RC cue is in the name of channel so he just took a Walmart $10 RC to some extreme extent just appreciate the effort and go on with life
If you understood anything about steering then you would see exactly why there are comments about it, and that is exactly why they do not show it going straight, because it cannot go straight.
Just a few minutes on Google or looking at a quad or go kart would have shown how to at least get it somewhat correct.
If this was any other RUclips channel, it would be full of talking and the video would take about 2 hours

FYI: The first step to making good welds, is to be comfortable. Little porosity in that one weld you showed.

If you dont already you may want to start preheating your aluminum before welding to keep cracks from forming inside the welds

You have some serious skills.
Great build! Maybe put a little more weight over the wheels. And a speed test would be cool to watch.
Builds a 1/2 scale F1 replica and then drives it in the dirt.😜 Needs a differential, some better weight distribution, a couple of hi-powered electric motors capable of propelling it to 100 mph or so where the ground effects might actually do some good. Not dissing your project, but if you're going to put this kind of time into something that resembles the real deal, it deserves some extra time to do it full send.😉
I like your project. Very nice. Few pointers. grubs screws on the axle will not last long. you need a key way or some sort of spline. also front wheel need camber and caster so the steering will self centre.
I noticed, two zero digits ahead of the 85. You guys must have no shortage, of ideas for ... future projects.

+subarolla No it has oversteer. understeer is when a car go straight when turning, not skidding the back^^
@@matteedstrom so when u watch over the video u know what to look for. The lack of a differential will always cause a vehicle to want to carry on in a linear direction.

That's becauase he should had slapped a BRUSHLESS motor for Go Karts in it...FFS...It can haul a 200lb bastard and the go kart @ 40mph....

Hey man cool video but For a improvement you could use a two channel or three channeled radio controller for RC cars and boats that should make it easier to control the car

Make a 60 minute video of a drivable one, could be 3/4 scale, and film everything, focusing way less on the machining of some parts alone.

It's fun to make 1/2 scale cars, but more fun to work on 1 to 1 models, that go on the racing track :)
