    The workmanship, obvious superior quality, fit and finish of your RC engine and cars, is by a wide margin the best I have seen, it rivals Ferrari and Lamborgini. You are in your own class, and have no rivals in the RC build world. We have to call it the Keith5700 class, a class others only can aspire to, but never reach.
    I cannot wait to your next video on this project, whatever time it takes, it will be worth the wait.
    Cheers.

  • @eformance
    @eformance 6 лет назад +51

    Your steering rack inner rod ends need to be in the same plane as the upper and lower A-arm pivots, otherwise you'll get bumpsteer. Your rack is too long at present, once you lengthen the tie-rods to reach the same plane as the A-arms, the A-arms won't be in the way.

    • @eformance
      @eformance 6 лет назад +17

      Sorry I cite the handful of race car tech books I have. I figure it's easier to distill it down to a simple sentence. I'll refrain from sarcastic retorts.

    • @daveanderson2316
      @daveanderson2316 6 лет назад +11

      EFormance Engineering you are correct. Bumpsteer will be an issue. The blackfagon has no clue of steering geometries. Don't get me started on Ackerman angle or instant center. :)

    • @eformance
      @eformance 6 лет назад +18

      Don't need measurements to design from scratch, the relationship of the pivot points must all be in a straight line. It's documented in many race car texts dating to the 60's; I recommend the suite of Carroll Smith texts. Your measurements are an attempt to tune out a poor design, not designing it correct from the beginning. The purpose of measuring bumpsteer is to adjust the steering linkage so that wheels toe out if there is bump steer, instead of in. It's more desirable for the wheels to toe out, as it results in an increasing radius, which is less likely to cause oversteer and loss of grip. Now please stop with your pissing contest on someone else's video.

    • @Keith5700
      @Keith5700  6 лет назад +11

      Calm down lads. I am fully aware of bump steer theory, but unfortunately I didn't leave enough space to get the inner link bang in line with the wishbone pivot. I'm working on that today and it'll end up fairly close. I suspect in practice, bump steer won't be an issue.
