Minor negatives too though (00:59 in this video). Performance mode is also bit better then before, Quality mode is more or less same. Another big advantage seen in 2.5.1 is that sharpening is not working at all, so in games that have no sharpening option, by updating to 2.5.1 you can now disable sharpening completely. Default DLSS in Cyberpunk 2077 is 2.3.4 with current game version of 1.61 *How to update DLSS* 1. Download latest DLSS from www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-dlss-dll/ File is digitally signed by Nvidia, so you don't need to worry about any tampering. 2. Go to installation folder of your game For steam this is usually Windows Drive - Program Files (x86) - Steam - steamapps - common - You may have installed your game somewhere else. 3. Open the game folder for which you want to update DLSS Now in root folder of your game, you will find file nvngx_dlss.dll Copy this file to any folder of your choice to create a backup 4. Replace the nvngx_dlss.dll file in game folder with the one you downloaded in step 1 And that's it, you have updated to newer DLSS version Note 1: Multiplayer games like Battlefield, COD may see this as an attempt to cheat as you are tampering with files, so avoid doing this with such games. Note 2: Newer DLSS need not be an upgrade, it can also bring new issues. Best to update DLSS only if you are having issues or if newer version is known to be better. I remember playing at 800x600 and it was high tech, because it was step up from 640x480, and that was high tech, because it was a step up from 320x200. We getting back there, soon we upscale from 320x200 to 3200x2000 and I call it a quit
This upgrade is basically for very weak hardware since only noticeable and significant difference is in Ultra Performance mode, Quality mode looks basically same and Perf mode as well. kinda pointless tbh
on most of them it's only noticeable on ultra performance, but there's substantial flickering of certain features in DLSS 2.3.4 that basically doesn't exist any more in DLSS 2.5.1

That looks crazy good when you think 1440p ultra Performance renders native 853x480p.
This tech gets better and better

That's what I've been looking for, ty for the tests
Thanks, was looking forward to this!
you are welcome
1:06 why the shadow looks so bad?
poor side of 2.5.1, DLSS 2.3.4 did well there but overall 2.5.1 is better
it will be awsome to do dlss 2.5.1 vs native only 2 comparison ^^
Sure thing

@@S2GamesBench thanks a lot bro :)
does it work with rtx 3000?
Sure, it's not frame generation. Super resolution is available for 20, 30 & 40 series.
@@TheScroollJunkie ok thank you
I install this but the sharpness bar is still active
Bar will remain active but it will not do anything.
how can I know if my gpu is uisng dlss 2.5?

FSR does a better job on Cyberpunk than DLSS does. I think it's the only game where I have seen this, but it's a pretty big difference.
Are you talking about fsr 2.0 or 1.0?
not in 1080p
bro what r u talking about? fsr has a lot of shimmering
I just tried this in patch 1.61 and FSR V looks like he was cut and pasted into the game...looked like a meme lol
Обновив dlss в киберпанк до DLSS 2.5.1 - я потерял 8% производительности, по сравнению с 2.3.4. Так что считаю, что 2.3.4 лучше
No
is it me or the new DLSS is more glitchy in cyberpunk . . don't play at 2K on a 24" monitor its plane stupid
ya 1440p is unnecessary for 24 inch
it was a bit glitchy in some examples in this video, but overall its actually much better than the old one.
This upgrade is basically for very weak hardware since only noticeable and significant difference is in Ultra Performance mode, Quality mode looks basically same and Perf mode as well. kinda pointless tbh
this video doen't show it but 2.5 fixes a lot of issues with oversharpening in motion, that is very noticeable, so it's definetly an upgrade
@@MattLad glad to hear it, I noticed this inmediately when I started playing
@MattLad Cyberpunk 2077 already allows reducing sharpening to 0 in game settings
@@S2GamesBench I know but a bit of sharpening is good. My problem lies with sharpening changing it's apparently effect in motion.
@@MattLad yes, that change of sharpening in motion is toxic waste, it gets better Id say, 2.5.1 looks great to me
I dont see differences, LOL
