And thank you very much for your hard work , excellent comparison , I wish you wealth and strength like Bruce Lee 😁👍
@@Rostovgenchik presets are for upscaling where J is new preset and is transformer model. For ray reconstruction, we have 2 options now, old CNN model and new transformer model that has been added with dlss 4
@@S2GamesBench Thanks a lot for the clarification. Is there any way to include this new model in the file responsible for reconstructing the best one, or is it already activated initially? As I understand it, you can't change the model in the options of the game itself?
@Rostovgenchik for cyberpunk you can, for other games you swap dll file then force preset G in dlsstweaks to get preset J in the game (J is new transformer model)
ray reconstruction costs 40% of my fps on a 2080ti at 4k if i use the new transformer model, but if i check it on 4080 with geforce now, it doesn't have any additional cost. so i guess its down to slower tensor cores
@S2GamesBench so does i need to change present to J or just copy and paste the new dlss files, and where the new fg dlss will available because i think the currently file i found is only for upscaling not fg on 4000 series

@@TheMrArnant with nvidia app update you will be able to force new transformer model easily from the app. But as of now you can still force the new model manually Cyberpunk though has added this to game settings itself.
If you can somehow get rtx4060ti to compare, then it would be nice... it has more AI TOPS, than rtx3090ti, so maybe this new DLSS with RR is going to be faster, while cards are very similar in performance.
Can someone explain what's going on here? I was the one who was worried that the new transformer model will hit performance hard. But when i turned it on, I had 0 FPS loss and even +0.5 AVG FPS in Cyberpunk Benchmark (after several tests). But here I see -5 or -6 FPS drops..... I have 4070 GPU
cnn model is bit hard to apply from in game settings, many times you apply it and it will continue to say that cnn is in use but in actual game it will still be transformer model instead, for confirmation you can use dlsstweaks
swap old dll file with new dll file, then use DLSSTweaks mod and change preset to G, preset G doesn't actually exist so game reverts to default preset of dll which is J. Alternatively nvidia app can also be used when it gets updated which will do everything required with one click.
Can dlss 4 be used with cnn model instead of transformer. I don't mind the quality, but it seems it's dropping a few frames from what I've seen so far, especially on older gpus (i have a 4060 laptop) is the frame gen gonna be better with both cnn and transformer or is it exclusive to just transformer?
DLSS 4 with CNN model is DLSS 3.7, CNN option is given because transformer model is currently in beta For frame gen, you could perhaps select transformer for FG while keeping old upscaling and RR dll so they remain on CNN
You have to zoom in to see the differences?! I am disappointed with this release. After nvidia's presentation I thought the image of dlss4 will be clearly improved while maintaining the current performance. It turns out that the improvement in quality is small with a fps drop:/
I really think the videos must be backwards in some of these clips lol. The entire idea was that the game would be MORE clear, not less. This makes no sense.
You can use a lower DLSS preset and get comparable performance with a better image. Also, the drop off on this 3070 is due to using ray reconstruction.

where i can get new one, to test on msfs 2024@@S2GamesBench
@@S2GamesBench Thanks a lot for the clarification. Is there any way to include this new model in the file responsible for reconstructing the best one, or is it already activated initially? As I understand it, you can't change the model in the options of the game itself?
@Rostovgenchik for cyberpunk you can, for other games you swap dll file then force preset G in dlsstweaks to get preset J in the game (J is new transformer model)
ray reconstruction costs 40% of my fps on a 2080ti at 4k if i use the new transformer model, but if i check it on 4080 with geforce now, it doesn't have any additional cost.
so i guess its down to slower tensor cores
where i can get the new dlss files ?
@@microsoftflightsimulator476 for time being on my discord server but should be on techpowerup soon if you wait
@S2GamesBench so does i need to change present to J or just copy and paste the new dlss files, and where the new fg dlss will available because i think the currently file i found is only for upscaling not fg on 4000 series
@@microsoftflightsimulator476 this link has all dll files, it is from a guru3d forum member - mega.nz/file/ZocG2bYC#0DlAMY9NAMDAyaKq91T_SM2CAhYn39qXysc6lZr_KIg
you should use dlsstweaks to force preset G, this will get you J instead which is transformer model
those few fps became even less
Can someone explain me what a point in this testing right now?
there was no drivers update. No official dlls4 release. What this test show us?
cyberpunk new update dlss 4
@@TheMrArnant with nvidia app update you will be able to force new transformer model easily from the app.
But as of now you can still force the new model manually
Cyberpunk though has added this to game settings itself.
If I use new Dlss version in God of war will it use cnn or transformer? 😅 I’ve tried it! And the pic looked oversharped to my opinion
transformer
If you can somehow get rtx4060ti to compare, then it would be nice... it has more AI TOPS, than rtx3090ti, so maybe this new DLSS with RR is going to be faster, while cards are very similar in performance.
@@zbigniew2628 yes impact is very low on new 50 series but higher on older cards
strangely, but fps didn't drop for me, stayed ~80-90 on RTX 4060, while visuals looks much cleaner
It's because 40 series has 2x faster tensor cores than that of 30 series GPUs is why you have no hit in fps.
заметил новая Ray Reconstruction убрала мерцание на мелких деталях. но еще толком не тестил.
although it runs slower, it looks better
same graphucs card i am using and use dlss balanced in every game at 1440p and looks the same as quality.
С драйвером "Beta 571.96" нет падения фпс с новым DLSS
balanced TM>Quality CNN
Tbh, for 1440p I'd say performance TM > CNN quality.
Крайне высокое падение fps, надеюсь на релизе или после следующего обновления dlss 4 это исправят
how to add dlss 4 in rdr 2?
swap old dll file with new dll file, then use DLSSTweaks mod and change preset to G, preset G doesn't actually exist so game reverts to default preset of dll which is J.
Alternatively nvidia app can also be used when it gets updated which will do everything required with one click.
Your information overlay is too big. I can't see what's the difference between two models
Am i the only one who notice that "transformer" blurs all the details? Look @2:04...
First iteration that should hopefully go away, there's no directional velocity information to clean it up so its 100% AI
DLSS 4 with CNN model is DLSS 3.7, CNN option is given because transformer model is currently in beta
For frame gen, you could perhaps select transformer for FG while keeping old upscaling and RR dll so they remain on CNN
We still see a bit of the game, could you make the fps counter hud cover the whole screen?
Nice widyo
That a loot fps
You have to zoom in to see the differences?! I am disappointed with this release. After nvidia's presentation I thought the image of dlss4 will be clearly improved while maintaining the current performance. It turns out that the improvement in quality is small with a fps drop:/
Bro u have to zoom in to see the difference on RUclips. Check it in game yourself
dlss and all upscalers, when you move, everything becomes a blurry ai mess.
Way better then being at 30fps, on dlss quality u can barely tell it looks really good
That was apparently one of the major areas of improvement with DLSS4.
Also something that native can suffer from
Significant FPS drop, bravo!
-5 FPS to make the textures smudged 🤣
It looks... horrible wtf?! In the first comparison all textures are gone!
I really think the videos must be backwards in some of these clips lol. The entire idea was that the game would be MORE clear, not less. This makes no sense.
@@mhouchens262 Naw, thats cyberpunks fault
The performance drop with new DLSS doesn't worth it.
You can use a lower DLSS preset and get comparable performance with a better image. Also, the drop off on this 3070 is due to using ray reconstruction.
The new model is pretty much only worth it on 40 and 50 series
@@RabbitAndBush nope, upscaling is still worth using on older GPUs.
@RabbitAndBush what are you saying upscalers are more important for older gpus not new ones
too much of a performance hit
