I used to watch my dad play this game, and he spent forever on this fight. Even so, this one is my favorite because of Boc's taunts. In fact, when I used to fight my dad with the plastic lightsabers in the back yard, he used to do the same taunts in that high pitch voice. "Your an angry one, aren't you?" lol
Haha! That's awesome. Your Dad sounds like a great guy. It's always fun to watch somebody play a game like this. I remember for me, it was my Dad playing Wolfenstein 3D. Either way, ya gotta love Boc, he can grow on you a little bit, and still be an awesome character. =)
That poor twisted little Twi'lek... I actually read that part of the reason Boc went insane was that he was denied the chance to become a Jedi when he was young. All because he was deemed to be "too old".
Emīls Goško he was denied training by the Jedi Council because he was too old to begin the training and that's what pushed him over the edge and drove him utterly insane and then he started working for Jerec when he was one of the inquisitors for the Empire.
Yea. I mean, wouldn't it make sense to train a Force-sensitive, regardless of how old they are? I mean, if anything Boc serves as an example of why the Jedi Order shouldn't deny training someone regardless of age... because if they don't train them, they can and WILL go to the Dark Side, like Boc did.
Boc is a really crazy Twi'lek, lol. He's an adept of Jar'Kai style (dual saber combat) for offensive purposes, but actually this style weakened his defenses. About Force Absorb, on further Jedi Knight games, it protects from Force attacks (Neutral and Dark Side) and it gives Force Mana back to you. This is really useful when dueling with multiple Force users enemies or with a extremely powerful user of the Dark Side of the Force. You'll probably use it a lot while dueling with Jerec, along with Force Protection and Blinding. Anyway, I'm excited to watch the final battle between Kyle and Jerec! Nice walkthrough so far!
Force Absorb in this game is pretty nice to have, but I think it's one of the powers that isn't as appreciated in this game as much since you can only use it in the six lightsaber duel levels. But still, it's good that it gives Kyle his health back, but I'm glad that in future games it also refills Force energy. Force Protection will really come in handy against Jerec. He's the last one, and he's goin' down. =)
+JimmyGGS91 I imagine that Force Blinding wouldn't work on Jerec because of his Miralukan heritage. They may not be able to see physically, but they see on a higher plane than most other people. They see through the Force.
Died laughing, and spent the last five minutes of his life leaping around like... something that leaps around a lot. Pretty unique character. Oh, plus the first time we see purple lightsabres
Nice of you to use Force Absorb in this video (though I remember that it only converted hostile Force Attacks into spare Force Energy for the user). That Force Power became canon when Yoda used it to harmlessly absorb Force Lightning in Episode 2: Attack of the Clones.
I never figured out that force persuasion blinded your opponent. I gave up after spending nearly a whole day trying to fight BOC legit and failing over and over. (I was young) never saw the end.
I think i glitched em lol. Im playing on hard and i spammed the concussion rifle on em. It just made him jump over and over. Pulled out my saber and just spammed em while he kept jumping over and over.
This guy looks like if someone took Battlefront II Grievous and Yoda and put them in a blender, then made it look like that Twi'lek from Jabba's Palace.
Boc is my least favorite boss, not because he's all that hard, but because he's so frickin' annoying to fight. It kind of makes sense tho, based on how obnoxious he is in the cutscenes.
He's using two mods. One's called Jedi Knight Enhanced and it replaces most of the models in the game with much high polygon count ones. The second is called jedi knight retextured, it replaces most of the textures in the game with higher resolution ones.
Okay, first of all, Jar'Kai dual blade fencing isn't actually that rare, a fair number of sith and jedi are familiar with it, like Darth Maul, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Darth Wyyrlock (III), Darth Malgus, Satele and Bastila Shan, Asajj Ventress, Darth Sidious, Luke Skywalker, Kao-Cen Darach, Lord Vindican, Darth Krayt... And I'm sure the list could go on.
To be fair, at the time JK came out, many of these characters didn't even exist yet and the only one I can think of who did and who *did* use two was Exar Kun.
easily the most annoying fight in the entire game but i guess the reason it took me this long (i mean, two attempts on the whole but that last one wasn't done until like ten minutes have passed) is that i refused to use any force power other than healing and (just once) speed, i just thought it would make this fight more challenging. was it? well... it wasn't really difficult, just tedious. he takes AGES to go down, at least on Hard, so if you guys want to do this the same way i did, just hold down that Ctrl button and keep running at him just as you did with every other boss you faced so far. hopefully you'll hit him... once every ten times you try. so yeah, i guess using force persuasion or blinding would have probably made this fight more interesting. anyway, it's time to off Jerec. had an initial run at him and, well... looks like i gotta come up with a better strategy than running in circles
Just beat Boc on hard and I can confirm it takes ages. I did find it helpful to use the secondary attack of the saber and time it so that I could get two chances to hit him per attack.
Look carefuly at Boc. He is like 90% of players in Jedi Academy: double purple lightsabers and jumps around like an idiot! )))

I played lightsabers with my dad too during the time I played this game ! :,)
That poor twisted little Twi'lek... I actually read that part of the reason Boc went insane was that he was denied the chance to become a Jedi when he was young. All because he was deemed to be "too old".
Dayum... that's pretty messed up.
Emīls Goško he was denied training by the Jedi Council because he was too old to begin the training and that's what pushed him over the edge and drove him utterly insane and then he started working for Jerec when he was one of the inquisitors for the Empire.

@@99thJediWarrior lukes new jedi order did that in legends
Actually no, when Jerec took him, he ripped more information on the valley from Boc's mind and that's what caused him to be as crazy as he was...
I've always thought of Boc like The Joker mixed with Jar Jar Binks
I laughed my ass off at 1:58 - 2:10 :D with that music and seeing Boc just randomly swinging his sword is so hilarious :D
When you realise that Boc is Star War’s Gollum. GOLLUM, GOLLUM!
I fell sorry for Boc. He was such a jolly fellow :(
Jolly? He's insane!
I always considered Boc to be the creepiest dark Jedi to face, maybe it's because of his personality and the environment.
His name is Boc'Aseca lawl, Boca Seca, in spanish is dry mouth.
Boc is using the very advanced Yoda fighting style. Be careful.

That’s what I loved about these games is all these powers basically eventually became cannon
Haha boc died jumping and then he jumped again laughing XD
My dyslexia made me misread "Boc: The Crude" as "Boc: The Chode"
I would still agree with that sentiment.
Lol
0:40 Kris Kross "Jump" playing in the background
If every lightsaber wielder had a theme song to walk onto the battlefield to, for Boc: It's House of Pain's "Jump Around".
hahaha
Very easy way to beat Boc: use persuasion and while he's under the effect blast away with the stormtrooper rifle. Works like a charm.
Believe it or not it does work. Flawlessly.
Boc had the last laugh. lol.
I never figured out that force persuasion blinded your opponent.
I gave up after spending nearly a whole day trying to fight BOC legit and failing over and over. (I was young) never saw the end.
Finally Boc bit off more than he could chew! Can't wait for that epic battle with Jerec!
Boc had it coming to him in my opinion. No one destroys Kyle's lightsaber and gets away with it. And yeah Jerec is up next. He's the very last one!
I killed Boc without even using Force Blinding. This could be an achievement.
Achievement Unlocked - "Stretch Out With Your Feelings" - 20 GP
I killed Boc just using force healing and my lightsaber
Boc was very annoying, so I laid a multiple landmine trap and hid in the roof. I detonated it when he jumped past. He died instantly.
Boc is, to be sure, a most crude individual....
Boc's death cry sounds hilarious. lol
I think i glitched em lol. Im playing on hard and i spammed the concussion rifle on em. It just made him jump over and over. Pulled out my saber and just spammed em while he kept jumping over and over.
This implies that mace windu wasn't the first to wield a purple lightsaber on screen
He reminds me of Bib Fortuna.
it feels weird not getting a force star after a level
Good game 😎👍
How dose this look so smooth it is all boxy when I play is there a way I can play this on my xbox or something?
This guy looks like if someone took Battlefront II Grievous and Yoda and put them in a blender, then made it look like that Twi'lek from Jabba's Palace.
He was intended to be a Twi'lek....
I just spent literally 2 hours hitting him like 15x and he won’t die, help :(
This looks quite a bit different from the version of the game I have. What's up with that?
Graphic update/mod.
Since when does dark side use purple lightsabres? I expected red ones.
It is strange how each of the Dark Jedi except Jerec used different colors other than red. Oh well, I think it's pretty cool, though.
I'm gonna upload it now.
It is now.
I'm playing this on Windows 7.
in kotor 1 and kotor 2 the dark jedi used purple lightsabers...
Where’s the video on level 21?
why are the graphics so good here when everyone else playing has shit pixelated garbage? Is it a mod or a remaster?
I defeated this boss by using different weapons and a lightstaber.
Boc is my least favorite boss, not because he's all that hard, but because he's so frickin' annoying to fight. It kind of makes sense tho, based on how obnoxious he is in the cutscenes.
He looked a bot in Jka Multilplayer
I beat him on my second try after spamming force protection and force speed
How did you manage to kill him in like 3 hits? I hit him like 20 times and he still didn't die..
Remember, Block is everywhere
He's probably playing on easy. On medium and hard, Boc takes way more hits (direct hits, not blocked hits).
Description says he played on medium difficulty. Double swing does more damage than normal attack.
Also, Boc jumps a lot, so he's hard to land a hit.
Hey @lightingboltforever how did you change your light saber color to yellow in star wars Jedi knight dark forces 2?
It should automatically be yellow when you pick up Yun's lightsaber in Level 16 (the fight with Sariss) on the Light Side quest.
I was hoping to get it on the dark side. :(
how did he improve the graphics
He's using two mods. One's called Jedi Knight Enhanced and it replaces most of the models in the game with much high polygon count ones. The second is called jedi knight retextured, it replaces most of the textures in the game with higher resolution ones.

How many of those have Katarn's Master ever met?

is boc a rabbit
Richard Blanchard I think they were trying to depict him as highly acrobatic, but were limited by the old game engine.

I don’t get it. You hit him like 5x and he died. I hit him like 20x, all my missiles and bombs and he still lives. Terrible fight
