I absolutely love how Tom describes how Forrest is Maternal. After watching this and then watching the movie, I realized what he meant. I love you Tom, and Guy was astounding in this film!
I'd say 'Priscilla', but others would then say whichever crappy Oz soap he was in ... but he's still never *bettered* Priscilla. It's just not possible.
I was working maintenance at a Marriott hotel in Shreveport LA in 2005 and after Katrina their was alot of movies being filmed in North Louiaiana. Many different actors/actresses stayed at the hotel ive never been a star struck type person so when Guy peirce came to stay there everyone was talking about it especially the women working there But I didn't even know who he was.his first day there they sent me to hook up a DVD player in his room and while I was doing so I seen he had a nice fender strat and asked him about it because I played. we talked music alot during his stay and I introduced him to some old blues albums like Robert Johnson and Howling Wolf as well as the songwriting genius of Hank williams.he was very appreciative of that even tho they were just burnt copies of the albums. When he left he asked for my address and a few months later I received 2 Jeff Buckley albums wich I still have to this day and an Autographed book about Andy Warhol wich is the person he was playing in the movie. Inside he wrote how he enjoyed talking music with me. Since then he's made many more movies Lawless being my favorite. Really nice man and I hope life treats him and his loved ones with kindness!
"Now listen here mister. We got no way of understandin this world. We got about as much sense of it as a bird flyin in the sky. Now there's a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happenin to him all the same. What I'm tryin to say is, the course of your life is changing, and you don't even see it... "
The quality of acting in Lawless is way beyond the hollywood standard. Tom is ,well the BEST, but Guy is no slouch I hope he loves dogs as much as Tom does.
Having been a bouncer, bartender at 17 to 22 YOA, from that I went into bounty hunting while in college till I finally hit my goal of becoming a deputy sheriff at 23, by the time I'd been in law enforcement 12 years I had been in three officer involved shootings with two of those being my finger on the trigger by the time I made Commander./ so what I am saying is this, if you ONLY showed the violence I have been a willing part of it would look like I lived a very violent traumatic life, but at 48 YOA now my life has been less eventful than boring to me at least.
As an American actor I can tell you it's because the education system here sucks and doesn't value drama at all. In fact if you aren't made fun of in a school for being a drama nerd then there is no money or support in the school system for it. Whereas in Britain there is a lot more value put on acting nowadays (hell you can get freaking knighted for it). Not only that but it's similar to how British musicians appreciated something that was really American (blues and whatnot) in the 60's and showed Americans they were't appreciating what they had.
tom hardy is great in lawless this dutch guy interviewing was really trying to find his words then made the mistakes instead of fist fight called it fisting both of them kept a straight face it was hilarious...
I so can c the granny from tweety pie in forrest, tom is jus brilliant n he is soo dam sexy that voice those eyes that body what a package i would say he is the new brad pitt but i think tom is a much better actor love him
They're both from Australia I think? Great actors...watch "The Proposition" if you like Guy Pearce. Wow. Lawless is the best movie I've seen in years though. Great acting and script.
I agree and the fucking questions were annoying ...I know u have to promote the movie but damn ' what did u change about the character ' ...NOTHING ..next dumb question !
OK, he's a unique actor and person, but now I feel he's brilliant. BUT, why turn to English actors many times? Are there no good American actors to play these roles?
I learn something new everytime Tom utters knowledge about his roles. The way Tom sees character and elements of story is amazing.
I absolutely love the way this man expresses his craft. Phenomenal stuff. It's really deep and to the core of character and story telling
Holy Shite!
What a concept!
Forest is Old Lady from Tweety!
What an insight.
I absolutely love how Tom describes how Forrest is Maternal. After watching this and then watching the movie, I realized what he meant. I love you Tom, and Guy was astounding in this film!
Truly interesting that maternal reference and explanation. I had no idea. But I can see it in some respects now that he's explained it
the way this dude analyzes the character is spot on...and Guy has been the shit since Memento...Love them!
I'd say 'Priscilla', but others would then say whichever crappy Oz soap he was in ... but he's still never *bettered* Priscilla. It's just not possible.
I loved Guy in LA Confidential.
I was gonna kill you for a second there cause I thought you said he was shit since memento
tom hardy is definitely talented actor , the way he puts efforts into each roles awesome
Heavily underrated film ... Literally EVERYONE I showed this movie said it's brilliant ...
I am from the county that this movie is based from. I lived 10 minutes from the Bondurant's home.
This is why Tom is in a league of his own! Wow

He doesn't say we he says you. You have no way...not we have no way.
He says “we” trust me. I’ve memorized every line from Forrest. He says we
Tom is one of the best actors in the world!
The interviewer, “Fisting.” Tom Hardy, “Sorry?” Lol. Guy Pearce shakes his head with a wtf.
Love to see these craftsmen talk about their craft.
The looks on their faces ..
Says: does this interviewer know what the hell he is saying?

The quality of acting in Lawless is way beyond the hollywood standard. Tom is ,well the BEST, but Guy is no slouch I hope he loves dogs as much as Tom does.

Noah Corpus dude get the fuck out of here without a lame ass story no one gives a fuck... and I went to Mars
I saw a lot of Warren Oates in Forrest, & kept expecting to see Harry Dean Stanton burst through a door, guns blazing...
great film
Guy Pearce's reaction lol 1:53
fucking Brilliant
Where the Fuck have the badass American actors gone. The damn english are taking all the american roles.
Neil Tipton hey hey, Guy is an Australian, give us some credit too :P

They're too busy in court from raping all the actresses, apparently.
fisting? yeah that is the wrong.... BUAHAHAHA I@M DYING/CRYING
I would love to see tom hardy work with the director of of the movie un prohpete!
Tom and Shia look like brothers!
I didn't realize that was him acting that part
tom hardy is great in lawless this dutch guy interviewing was really trying to find his words
then made the mistakes instead of fist fight called it fisting both of them kept a straight face it was hilarious...
Tom Hardy "that's the wrong. Thays definitely the wrong...." lol
That was the highlight tbh. He asked such stupid questions...
I so can c the granny from tweety pie in forrest, tom is jus brilliant n he is soo dam sexy that voice those eyes that body what a package i would say he is the new brad pitt but i think tom is a much better actor love him
Tom Hardy is such a manly sob. I love him so much😍
Thanks dear and nice to meet you 💞
Is Tom Hardy from Middle Earth?
Fisting? Thats hillarious, the interviewer is clueless...
These two fruits were once the power couple of the Hollywood hills...
They're both from Australia I think? Great actors...watch "The Proposition" if you like Guy Pearce. Wow. Lawless is the best movie I've seen in years though. Great acting and script.
hardy is british
actually i just read in an interview that he is from palookaville. weird as his accent sounds english. weird.
Realist101100 guy is Australian, Tom is a Pom (British). Both great actors
That's what I was thinking, he sounds really Dutch...
This is a Dutch reporter😂
Is the interviewer dutch? :P
Whats with the English accent from a guy born in LA ? Am I missing something ?
tom was born in Hammersmith london
Lad just puts in the work.
My opinion, the Deputy Rakes actor could have been better. Tom Hardy outdid him.
1:45 xD
Fisting LOL
FISTING! AAAAAAAAHAHHAHAHA
Thanks dear and nice to meet you 💞
Lovely interview with awesome men about a great film. But I just can't get over how incredibly distracting that Dutch accent is! ;p
I agree and the fucking questions were annoying ...I know u have to promote the movie but damn ' what did u change about the character ' ...NOTHING ..next dumb question !
Did the interviewer say “fisting?” 😅
fisting is wrong. don't fist.
OK, he's a unique actor and person, but now I feel he's brilliant. BUT, why turn to English actors many times? Are there no good American actors to play these roles?
get someone else to ask questions instead of the "fisting" guy lmao
Freddie is joking.❤
Forrest was Malcolm in the Middle. >.
lol no Malcolm is Shia not Tom Hardy
No Frankie Munoz was Malcom. He stopped acting way back
That is the wrong. That's definately the wrong...
Maternal, Forest? Weird, I saw him as a very manly man! Walk quiet and carry a big stick, not "Swetybird" or whatever. More =Clint Eastwood.
Lisa O. Davis I think he meant to describe the character as protector that loved his family
Thanks dear and nice to meet you 💞
