I would argue that it isn't even pro family for the families that fit their ideal. Unless they are rich, they will be paying more taxes, the breadwinner will face an even tougher labour market where unions that could help him bring home a sufficient income to support his family will be even weaker. On top of that, the children will be growing up in a world made even more dangerous by climate change and the resulting geopolitical instability exacerbated by project 2025's pro fossil fuel policies, and more likely to die young due to war, famine or natural disasters. That is not pro-family for ANY type of family.

As an atheist, I've had it shoved down my throat for 40 years now. From my perspective, listening to people talk about their gods always feels like listening to little kids talking about their magical imaginary friend, and I just can't take them seriously. Me and my siblings grew up walking on eggshells, where any small thing could turn into screaming, beatings, locking us outside the house for hours, insulting us, etc. He is also narcissistic, which just made things harder as he would always, without fail, put his wants in front of our needs. These are a few reasons why we felt anxious with him at home, and now that he's not there, I can finally feel like I can walk around my own home without the fear of suddenly having him lash out, I finally feel safe. I consider myself lucky still, compared to so many other stories I've heard. I know so many friends with fathers who do so much worse. I believe that there are some good men out there, but in most cases, men can be truly evil and egotistical towards their families, which is why in many cases, they're better off without that.

The Heritage Foundation has been working towards Project 2025 since the 1970s. This is just the most recent draft. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Handmaid's Tale was based on the past drafts for Project 2025.

As an atheist, I've had it shoved down my throat for 40 years now. From my perspective, listening to people talk about their gods always feels like listening to little kids talking about their magical imaginary friend, and I just can't take them seriously.

I was constantly in danger when living with my father. Now he's not in our lives anymore, my anxiety at home is basically gone, and I finally feel safe. Shame on the monsters that want to control how others, especially the oppressed, live their lives.

Me and my siblings grew up walking on eggshells, where any small thing could turn into screaming, beatings, locking us outside the house for hours, insulting us, etc. He is also narcissistic, which just made things harder as he would always, without fail, put his wants in front of our needs. These are a few reasons why we felt anxious with him at home, and now that he's not there, I can finally feel like I can walk around my own home without the fear of suddenly having him lash out, I finally feel safe.
I consider myself lucky still, compared to so many other stories I've heard. I know so many friends with fathers who do so much worse. I believe that there are some good men out there, but in most cases, men can be truly evil and egotistical towards their families, which is why in many cases, they're better off without that.
