I’d watch an entire spinoff show where Seagull Lung is Mr. Ballen’s side kick and they solve crimes together.
What happened to that young soldier was haunting and heartbreaking. Abandoned by his mother, losing his father, then losing his life protecting the mother who abandoned him. His being there saved a lot of people’s lives by preventing an evil person’s egregious plan from being executed. But it is still sad.

Why was this a great story? I was seriously disappointed by this story of a jealous woman who recruited two men to kill her ex’s girlfriend. This wasn’t a typical Mr Ballen story, just a bloodbath. The evidence was right there. No deep dark story whatsoever, just crazy people!

Retired Army here. The young Private’s story truly breaks my heart. I hope he had the honorable funeral he deserved and that his SGLI was maxed out to help any family he might have had remaining. Totally heart breaking. At least he had a breath of closure with the limited amount of time he had with his mom.

Ugh. Did a quick read up on the case after watching the video. Jackie, the boyfriend of pregnant Lindsay was 23 and Irenia was 34 when this happened and they had been in a 4 year ‘relationship’ prior to him breaking it off and starting to date Lindsay. That means that Irenia was dating a 17 or 18 year old when she was 28/29. Not just jealous and batshit crazy, she was also a predator.
Wasn't Lindsey only 16 at the time this went down? There had to be a lot of meth involved in this story.

And while it's true that some states have the age of consent at 16, there is no guarantee that she wasn't 15 when they started their relationship. I’m waiting for the day a streaming channel picks up MrBallen. Start airing episodes where we get MrBallen telling his stories but instead of watching him as he tells it they recreate it with animation or live action.

Someone tried to kill me once because he believed in witchcraft. I happened to light some candles in the lounge room the same day he experienced being choked in his sleep. After weeks of living in fear and barricading my door and hearing him tell our other flatmate that I had to be 'stopped' he was diagnosed with Sleep Apnoea. A few hundred years ago I'd have been strung up and burned alive. What complete and utter stupidity. @@valkhorn

What's the most ridiculous part about all of this, is the fact that a woman orchestrated this entire thing, simply because she was jealous of another woman's relationship. She basically made the entire thing up. There was no hex, and there weren't any other witches besides her and her ignorant sidekicks.
Hell, I wouldn't even be surprised if she faked the entire "spirit world" session as well, that in which involved her voice apparently changing, and the proclaimed "5 demons."
The "hex" in question, was literally just a breakup phase.

As somebody who likes Harry Potter, I’ve never had the urge to try to do witchcraft outside of messing around with my spell book as like a joke because to curse somebody is wrong and the concept of magic is just that, a concept.

Hats off to josh who was grown up enough to be the better person and reconnect with his mother, it is a shame his life was short lived and his training didn't kick in when he saw the man with the knife. If any of them were real witches they would never use the term “warlock” to describe a male witch because it means “oath breaker”.

This is an intriguing story. So sad that Josh was the victim. The lesson here? Know the people you're dealing with. Being called a Warlock in Pagan society is not a good thing. Warlock, to Pagans is an oath breaker, not a male witch. So the guy who called himself one was pretty spot on.

I graduated with Josh. I was told to listen to this episode and started crying when I heard his name though the other names sounded familiar- it was so long ago, I didn’t remember them from the paper.
As a practicing witch this is not how witchcraft is performed especially when breaking a curse that’s definitely influenced by dark entities or that she pretended to be channeling but either way she committed a heinous crime out of her own selfishness and insecurities. I do believe that Rick and the other guy saw dark shadows (if what they said was true) but it wasn’t protecting them I can say that much and no you cannot break a hex or curse by killing someone.

@@Inky_doodledoo There are hexbreakers spells that involve ritual and purification, and they concentrate on the curse itself. Nothing to do with killing someone. If a curse has been cast by someone that is believed will just curse again, then a binding can be done--that is more magic, aimed at preventing someone from acting against you by making them not want to anymore.
In this case the fake hex leads to real. A very expensive lesson.
