Love that first song above all powers, absolutely beautiful. I’m getting my Fantom 8 next week lord willing and thats exactly the type of music I am aiming to create. Your passing chords were just sublime, I loved every second of this performance.
@@Philigrane5993 Yes and no. It has lots of different Pianos in it but in all honesty some are just good, there's nothing sound wise in the piano section that I would call brilliant. A lot of the sounds/voices in the keyboard outwith the pianos are unusable for me, it's my personal opinion but I just don't like the vast majority of them. For example I like to play worship music and finding a nice warm smooth pad sound that fits is not easy! On balance though, I am an amateur user so some of these limitations are most likely my own lack of knowledge and ability to choose and model sounds for my needs. It is a great tool for getting ideas down and for practicing but for full songs although it can do it, it can be a lot of work and you can reach it's limitations although there are workarounds. I am still very much learning about the keyboard though and only had it a couple of months. There is no doubt that this is an incredible tool in the right hands for creating music but for me im going to have to really dig deep and play hard to find the right combination of worship sounds I like. As a piano, it's a lovely action and feels good to play. I think one thing ti bear in mind is that everyone is different and we all have our own specific needs so what might not be good for me might be great for someone else. I am quite a plane player, I hate techno rapping style music with a passion but many people love it. I am more of a full complete 80s love song player but mainly church worship player. I hope I haven't put you off or been too negative? Also, the more I learn about the keyboard my opinions could very much change in the near future. I wish you all the best. 🙂

Can you make more videos on how to create beats for worship songs with the fantom 8? I really want to get one but I need to learn everything I possibly can about it.
Do you miss something? E pianos, organs and even pianos from Fantom suck, synth section is amazing IMO. As a lovin' Kronos' user and former Fantom X owner I appreciate what Roland did with new Fantom, but I'm afraid that lack of proper base sounds would be too painful for me.
Hi, you can buy my presets by sending me an email(check the description of the video). Then all you need to do is load them into your Fantom and you’ll have the exact same sounds.
So is it possible to connect and control up to eight external synths via the Fantom (using MIDI through box). Would it be possible to assign external devices to individal channels in Logic via the Fantom?
The fantom has a sound card that is recognised by your computer. I can’t tell you if this setup is possible because I don’t own a Fantom 8 at the moment.
What pad did you use in the first and second song please. I got this workstation 2 days ago and I've been searching for sounds to use for Sunday worship. I like the pads that you used. Do you mind sharing please? Thanks!
Maybe it's a silly question but what's the best way to get started with the Fantom 8 in case I don't have any knowledge/experience with workstations (a friend of mine got it as a present and he wants to learn how to use it)? Do you think going over the manual will work or there are any videos that you know that might help?
I tried to figure out (can't find it in the manual) if there is an option to just simply record your keyboard playing for 3+ minutes. Even the Real Time Rec doesn't have this option... I have an FPX30 which can simply record to a USB so I can't believe that such capable workstation can't handle this task haha... I hope you can help me :)
Hello, one question, how efficient is it when playing the new Fantom. I have a Roland FA and despite many positive things, also by using one as a customer I have also realized what could have been improved. Because when the 16 sets are occupied with different tones at the same time, when playing and changing chords or notes, the expression of the sounds is drastically interrupted, which when occupying fewer tones in the study set or scene (around 4 or 5 tones maximum combined). So I would like to know if in this new workstation, that does not happen by occupying it by playing all 16 tones at the same time of a Studio Set (or Scene) and that interruption does not occur as in FA.
Fantom 8 is a little bit better, they added some new sounds and a better display but the same problems you mentioned will occur. I’m talking about polyphony problems when you switch between scenes or when you play complex chords while triggering multiple sounds.
Well done for the melody and your talent as a pianist. On the other hand, your rhythmic accompaniment is not suitable (in my humble opinion). Greetings from France.

Thanks, stole some of them from Cory Henry :)
Beautiful playing sounds wonderful.
Your playing is mad!!! Love the passing chords in the first song!!! Wow
Can you make more videos on how to create beats for worship songs with the fantom 8? I really want to get one but I need to learn everything I possibly can about it.
I made the beat in Ableton with Superior Drummer 3 not with the Fantom.

Wow this keyboard is just ❤️🔥. what's day i will have mine ohhh😭😄❤️🔥☺️
i use usually V-piano of the Roland rd2000... like Fantom.
I love the Fantom 8. I sold my Korg Kronos 88 and thinking of buying one.

Sounds good
Amazing. Thanks.
Very nice!! I’d like to purchase these presets. I sent an email to your email in the description
@SoLasseKennison I sent you an email Monday. Maybe check your spam folder.
@@rolandv-piano Okay just checked and yep it was in the spam folder 😂 Replying now
Very nice. What Fantom piano was that at the beginning?
It was a stack with V-piano and a bunch of other e-pianos. My preset has the exact details.
Earned a sub. +like! Thank you! Love it!🙂❤
Thanks for watching!

Oh yow! That's Yohan Kim version. 👏👏
does the Fantom 8 has a I-arpegio?
top bravo 👏
on the last song, zone #1 was green, so, can I assume that you were triggering externally what ever that Spitfire Audio Piano was?
Yes, correct. It’s a free VST from LABS library by Spitfire sent to Raum reverb.
Do you need a computer to world or It works whithout It ? I say It because of the USB connection
Only if you use an external instrument or want to record MIDI or audio in your DAW.
@@rolandv-piano Thanks a lot!!
Nice
Do you have any phantom 8 used for sale. Thank you!
Great sounds are all these sounds coming from the Fantom
Yes, except the last piano sound and the beat.

СУПЕР !
Nice playing, man. Can I ask what are the song titles you played?
The first song is called “Above All” and the two others are ideas that I improvised on the spot.
@@rolandv-piano Thanks man. 👍
What is the name of the last piano?
Check the video description. It’s from LABS

Soft Pad. The presets are available for purchase.
Which one is better between Yamaha Montage 8 and Roland Fantom 8
I prefere Roland instruments but the Montage is a powerful synth too. I personally would invest in a computer with VSTs instead of analog gear.
MWS👍👍👍
Awesome!!! Beautiful interpretation. How many layers Did you sample from Piano Labs?
Didn’t sample anything. Just used the plug-in as an external instrument.

It has a sequencer. I don’t know what the maximum duration is but look up “sequencer” in the manual or on youtube.
@@rolandv-piano 1/32 is the max (30 seconds) for each pattern. Thanks for your quick responses!

What a depressing demo.I don't want a keyboard anymore.
o.k. then try a mouse with two legs.
