Listening to this in the background has me thinking it sounds like the final production from a top recording studio, quite unbelievable! Kudos to Roland but even more so to the performer!

WOW. what a Performer- Never seen an instrument being put into its giant depth of musical creative power so elegantly and impressively. This artist is a genius- and brings the fluent composing which the fantom allows to our awareness. What an instrument they have put beneath his fingers. Unbelievable what Roland created with the new Fantom Series...Imho: The "one for all -Workstation concept" at its peak , (marking the very peak of our civilization?) All these sounds are so vivid and bubbling the soundscape they create is wide and complete, the sound engines installed ,each of them a pearl in itself, but combined: Beyond compare. The workflow of the whole machine is so well thought through and put into just the right composition of knobs,pads screens and software - amazing what they have accomplished here....it will take years for us out here to grasp the depth of what they 've put into our hands here.
To me what sets the Fantom apart of the TR mode for drums and other triggers. It just makes the process so much more intuitive. While other workstations have other ways to skin the cat, I dont want to be in menus and knobs. I want to just see my steps in the bar and add my notes with physical buttons because its so fast and easy. I also like his idea of not layering too many patches in one group. Spread them out a bit and give yourself some flexibility when ordering for a song or triggering some variance on the pads. I remember trying to do some of this stuff on an XP-50 wholly guacamole you needed a NASA degree to muck around with it w/practically no GUI. More trouble than it was worth. We've come a long way baby.
Just pushed the button and ordered my 06...... I just couldn't contain myself anymore!! Do I NEED it? No... Do I want it? YES!!! :) You are an awesome musician!!!! Just amazing!!!
First Time I have really seen a solid presentation on the use of Pad Mode for effective songwriting creativity and shortcuts. Great Job Brother Looking forward to more of your videos .

The possibilities are anything but "endless." Google "Fantom polyphony issues." Really sad that they hobbled so badly the (theoretical) potential of this workstation.

Clap clap... amazing... I really did not know the actual features of the Fantom. Like, I disregarded it against my Kronos and PC4 synth sculpture possibilities, but the sounds here are super modern and edgy + the amazing daw capabilities is really impressive! Clap clap Roland!
A really great performance that I would love to recreate on my newly purchased Roland Fantom 06 for practice. Would it be possible to get a list of the zones, scenes, and effects settings used? That would be really helpful.

For me there is absolutly no need for speed what so ever when I make music... However I see your great skill and it is a fantastic instrument. I just got it! There is so much to learn. And... yes, it will probably take a long time. I hope I can find some tutorials with no stress. :)

why don't you have WAIT NOTE feature on the mc-707?? It was on the mc-909 for goodness sake and it's an excellent feature. I thought you abandoned the WAIT NOTE feature altogether. Looks like engineering forgot to add it on other current Roland products.
..Unfortunately there's lack of time for my Fantom and me to have the deep dive into it, but it's ok to see demonstrations like this from time to time online..greetz, Belgium..
I think you need to do some master classes on building songs - this was a great video. And, I'm saving up for my Fantom (although I want 88 keys so I can play classical - that piano is something else!)
Just keep in mind the aftertouch is unusable on the 88 (I have it). It takes an excessive amount of force to activate and has such a narrow band it's basically full on/off.
Hello there Ask for help. When I use fantom the normal recording mode, I choose the waitnote mode, but I cannot record by pressing the piano keyboard. I must press start to record. Can you tell me how to solve it?thank you

This demo is not the 06. This is the flagship Fantom not Fantom 0 series.
