Thanks for trying to help us out in the community but I honestly am regretting that I purchased this machine over a Cricut machine... there I SAID IT!!!!!! This Cameo Silhouette is a thorn on my side. Nothing about it has been easy with connectivity whether USB or Bluetooth! Easily has become the most expensive paper weight I've ever purchased!
Oh my God, I agree with you so much that I had to look to see if I wrote this. I saw it wasn’t me and I saw it was written a year ago. It a long story but I’m a Cricut user but I love what I was hearing about the silhouette so I want to Michaels but I purchase the camera 4 when I really wanted the curio 2. The sales girl and Michaels got me all confused anyway I bought that one at Michaels and then a few days later I went onto the Internet and I bought the other one. The cameo 4 I had no problem setting it up, but the curio 2 I’m on 20 of hours trying to get this thing connected I tried to USB ports 3 ports to cables nothing. I wish I never heard of this company. I wish I just stayed with the cricket but now that I invested all this money, I’m stuck because I’m not gonna return. Both boxes I opened all accessories I opened mats I opened so what’s the point of returning anything? Please tell me you got yours to work. I installed the software twice. I installed an older version. A suggestion by somebody did not work. I bought the software twice on error my loss I guess like everything else. Everything was a loss dealing with this company‘s product. It seems I just wanna get it to work.
I was wondering if you have any other things I could try. I have Camero 4 Plus. I did turn off to stop cutting. when pause took to long. I turned it back on finished up cutting project. Worked as usual. then I decided to a break. When I came back to start doing some more cutting now machine won't power on. I unplugged. held in power button for 5 plus seconds, then plugged back in, sitll will not turn on. My husband is an Electrician he checked and power cord is good. and outlet is powering other things. so that is working. any clue what is going on. it was cutting fine. Any help would be greatly appicated. I have scoured every go to place for information. I have yet to firgure it out.
Unfortunately, that is a completely different issue than related to software. If the power cord is good, double check that the cord is plugged in securely to the power bank in the middle of the power cord and reconnect it securely to the machine. Then try holding the power button down for longer and see if it reboots. Otherwise, you'll need to contact Silhouette Support regarding the machine.
I'm still having issues with "trying to connect", "syncing..." or even "checking for firmware update..." HELP!! I have emailed Silhouette America to see if they have any answers. PLEASE SEND HELP!
Hi, I have a mac and cannot connect to my Silhouette Studio. The machine shows up as ready but the send button is greyed out. I've tried all the steps and still can't connect. Are there any more troubleshooting options? Silhouette has no real support these days.
I would need more information in order to troubleshoot. What MAC OS? What software version do you have on the MAC - under Silhouette Studio in the top left under About - what are all the numbers for the version - for instance v4.5.770? How are you connected to the Silhouette machine? Bluetooth or USB? If usb cord, are you using a connector for the MAC?
Hi, thank you. I appreciate the response. I ended up finally being able to connect. It’s a new world when you can’t go direct to a company for support. Thank you for being out there for us.
I have the same issue. I haven't been able to upload Silhouette for over 2 weeks. I tried all the instructions to try and still can't upload. Getting nervous since the fall craft show season is coming up.
@@MyRudy45 can you explain more? What do you mean upload? You cannot open the software? You cannot load files into the software? Or the software does not recognize your machine is plugged in? Are you on Windows or a MAC? Model of Silhouette machine? connected by usb or bluetooth?
@@SilhouetteSecrets Silhouette will not open. I get an error message. I tried all the suggestions you gave and I still can’t use it. I’m on a MAC connected by Bluetooth.
Did you stop a cut job? If so, dod you click the x to close out of the job? If you did amd its still there, close everything down completely, including the computer and unplug the Silhouette from the wall outlet and the power bank in the middle of the power cord- let that sit for 5 minutes.
Mine won’t connect to Bluetooth it’ll connect I try to cut and it won’t cut but it’ll say “job complete “ but when I got to my Mac it’s saying it’s still running so I close it out and I lose connection

Do you know if the Mac issues are fixed? I had to downgrade to 4.4 because Design studio would shut down whenever I tried to bring a design in.
In general, no. I'd just stay on v4.4.
