Totally agree with what you said about missing out by being single minded in your choices. I missed a lot by being lost in punk in the 70s. As always, boss vid.
As always.......Love your content! Thank you for teaching easier riffs that sound great. Being able to play these riffs relatively quickly helps keep me motivated to learn more!
This is a great lesson 👍 Not a bad thing like you said to learn some hard rock or classic rock riffs. Please keep these coming like your style of teaching.🤘
These riffs would be perfect on that Tele that you teased us with the other day!! I'm really digging how you're tying the patterns of classics from the past into the current approach to propel us into the future with a greater understanding of the formulas that make great music; while arming us with a wide variety of stylistic techniques.
Yeah, these are definitely Tele-style riffs!! It's really cool when you start dripping other styles into your preferred style. You really start to come up with some unique sounds and music!
The 2nd riff sounded like Thin Lizzy and Skynard jamming together. I was just wondering too if you had any other videos on different rock genres and then I found this. Love the variety and content of your channel. Thanks for everything you do.
You're welcome, dude! I'm going to be expanding with more styles. This is a dark ambient tone here: ruclips.net/video/TQPB6CKYXqs/видео.html I love stuff like this!!!
Hi, I placed the tabs in the video where I slow the riff down. I also have a free practice guide for you that has tabs. You can download that here: www.jasonstallworth.com/guitarist/
@@michaeljimenez239 Dude, speed really comes from repetition, and starting out playing the same things over and over, but slowly. You force your brain to memorize where to go without having to think about it this way.
Rock & all sub genre are relevant. Doing a video on most of them is really the next logical step. I believe guitarist would incorporate a little of everything. The best do. If you could do a video on textural wash/atmospheric chords GBE tutorial sometime. I don't see many here and would like your take on it. Also blues, classical and music theory. 🤣 Your explanations and demeanor are motivating. Thank you.
Dude, thank you for the kind words and atmospheric chords sounds like an awesome video idea! Also, you may already have this but if not, this is the link to the practice guide that I give all of my subs: www.jasonstallworth.com/guitarist/
Hey man so I was watching your “top 3 amps for metal” and picked up a fender mustang lt50, I’m getting new to tones and stuff but do you remember what your settings were when you used the metal tone? I love your tone in that vid!! Have a great day!
Dude, I have no idea what my settings were on that but I stick with the same (these approximate). Bass: 4.5 - 5, Mid: 3-4, Treble: 6-7, Presence: 4-6 (depending on the amp), and usually the gain is around 7 when I'm just playing in the room like that. By the way, and you may already have this, but be sure to grab the practice guide that I give all of my subs here: www.jasonstallworth.com/guitarist/
I did my best to list the tabs in the video. However, I do have a complete metal rhythm guitar course with tabs AND backing tracks here (I literally just released this): www.jasonstallworth.com/courses/
@@ricksanchezito8972 I'm with you on the protein because that's what it takes! Although I do really well from about 6.5 hours of solid sleep. I'm a bit older though.

These riffs are the base for many good ideas - thank you!
Yeah you could take these to some cool places on the fretboard!
👍👍👍👍 Thanks for keeping it real.
Always dude!! I like for folks to try integrating different styles into their playing. It really helps shape your signature sound!

Fun! I LOVE classic rock played with metal guitars and tones - a great hybrid. To me, Van Halen is very much like that.
Oh yeah, EVH had a really cool style and integrated many into his own. Man, he'll always be remembered as one of the greatests!

Am not that much into Metal but do appreciate your ability to teach and am pleased to hear you go towards Classic Rock riffs on occasion. Thanks 🙏😊
