Look at the silver coin melt chart, then figure the price per gram. Since a couple of them are slicks, they might be up to a gram light. Current price for a silver dollar at melt is 22.29, which puts the value per gram at about 81 cents. There is always a premium on silver coins.
😂😂😂😂 Always? Come on @ Tom'scoins you know as well as I do that silver under melt is routinely available if ya hunt. On the Morgans $25 per is a fine price, btw.
You need to check your math on the last 4 you bought for $99.80. That is not $24.70 but $24.95 each. Question, buyers have to pay E Bay 12% on coin sales so why would someone sell below spot? They would be getting under $22.00 per coin which seems foolish to sell them at that price. I'm not saying they didn't but seems like they need a math lesson also.
AND, I was just thinking the other day, .999 fractionals will be around as long as silver is. CONSTITUTIONAL silver, just simply won't! There IS a finite number of them left out there.
Those two 1921 "culls" are not culls at all. They would rate at least AU-50, i.e., "About Uncirculated." They aren't worth much to collectors, because they are so numerous, even in that condition, but they aren't culls, either. Far from it.
Why would anyone sell silver dollars under melt? I think I might know why. Six Morgans weighing a total of 155.7 grams averages out to 25.95 grams per coin. That's too light. I'll bet at least one of those Morgans is fake. 🤔🤐
@@TheKANSASKIDD ~ Yes, I'm well aware of the weight allowance on a Morgan, which btw, I've seen to be a little less than a full gram. @@A.M.T.V. I've never bought that idea. Your coin is either a nice piece for a collection or is a chunk of metal to melt down.
