Also I don't think Deadpool is the better mercenary because despite all of his skill and powers I feel like he fails his contracts far more often. Great video!
Actually Taskmaster CAN'T* Copy Deadpool's fighting style because his movements are too random. The Panel in 5:55 shows that Taskmaster does not like fighting him probably for this reason. In Deadpool vs Punisher, Taskmaster states this again and uses Punisher's move to try and fight Deadpool instead
This is what happens when you allow females to direct. No surprise the two worst Marvel movies are Black Widow and Captain Marvel, and it’s not even close.
I’ve been saying that! It would’ve preserved Taskmaster and imagine the impact IF after the opening scene they all thought Milena was dead, but when Iron Maiden is unmasked it’s her! Everything, the full body armor, the hood, the colors (minus the hints of orange) except the mimic ability says Iron Maiden. Using an established female character with ties to Natasha and, by extension, the Red Room would’ve worked better than hijacking and subverting a male character.
All I want is for marvel to go with the COMICS. I heard Mr. Fantastic might be Black or Asian and Sue and Johnny Storm to be Latinos. All I wanted was for John Krasinski and Emily Blunt to play Reed and Sue :(
Taskmaster was such a disappointment in Black Widow. She was fine enough as a villain for this movie, but she never truly got to shine as the master assassin from the comics. That’s not even mentioning the fact that she’s basically a Winter Soldier rehash.
They RUINED TASKMASTER! SMH! They did him so wrong! They gender swapped him and didn't explore his full potential or make his fight scenes good as they should have been smh. A missed opportunity

He was probably the easiest to adapt into the movies, and they still screwed it up. There was no need to over-complicate things with an unnecessary twist.
I’m glad he’s a secret boss in Spider-Man for the PS4/PS5, even if you know nothing about him, you still know that he’s a serious threat. And his sword looks a lot cooler because it’s made of photogenic energy.

Disney gender switches another character again from male to female for the worst again. Unfortunate and a huge step back once again. STOP WITH THE B.S. DISNEY!!! Totally ruined Taskmaster in Black Widow
Plus... It really is a secondary character no one truly care about within the MCU universe. Just like Red Guardian, Darren Cross or Mantis. Both are way different from who they are in the comics but no one should care because they are just amalgamation of different ideas with a ''name'' added. Agatha Harkness isn't the same. Hank Pym isn't the same. Janet Van Dyne isn't either. Ned isn't the same. I'm hoping the red room "taskmaster" is like an experiment to try and mimic the actual taskmaster, who will be revealed later
i keep seeing this, and it's pathetic. they wouldn't waste an entire story arc on that if they were going to "reveal the real on later on". i didn't like what they did with taskmaster either, but this is what we got. sorry. move on.
Watching this after seeing Black Widow, and all I can say is, we got hosed jimmy. We got hosed good.
Anyone else feel they “deadpool’d” taskmaster?
They massacred my boy
Yep. Damn shame too.
9:29 Actually it’s been said Taskmaster CAN’T copy Deadpool’s fighting style because it’s just too unpredictable. It’s one of the reasons why he hates fighting Deadpool.
I wish you talked more about how Taskmaster doesn't like fighting Deadpool because half the time Deadpool's fighting style is inconsistent and doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
Also I don't think Deadpool is the better mercenary because despite all of his skill and powers I feel like he fails his contracts far more often.
Great video!
Taskmaster is such an amazing Marvel character!
I liked him in MVC3 when he goes Just Like Cap when he uses shield moves
Spidey Swing!
@@biohazard724 aim of Hawkeye
Foot dive!!!!
Would be cool if he just turned up every now and then throughout the movies.

“If I had the skills.. I’d be tempted.. to take off his head”
It was completely unnecessary to gender swap the character. They should have used Iron Maiden.
Yeah, and they randomly decide to make their own Taskmaster, which doesn't follow up how he originally is.
@@jchoi9340 yahh imagine when female characters swap to a male... Those feminist will be noisy about it...
All I want is for marvel to go with the COMICS. I heard Mr. Fantastic might be Black or Asian and Sue and Johnny Storm to be Latinos. All I wanted was for John Krasinski and Emily Blunt to play Reed and Sue :(
I've always been a big taskmaster fan and black widow just put me into what will probably be a year long depression
Same. But maybe in the future they can make a new one or give the existing one a little bit of personality
I mean he was like a damn robot under the mask, they put computer chips in taskmaster for sum reason, and just fucked his character
@@nips2good4u80 yup, if it was tony masters , he would have obliterated black widow , in the comics he defeated the avengers

@@anonymous-xe5it because Taskmaster is Tony Masters.
They absolutely butchered task masters character in black widow. Probably the worst thing about the movie
I had once read somewhere that Taskmaster doesn't want to mimic one superhero's fighting abilities; MoonKnight. He said that MoonKnight allows himself to take more hits rather than hit back
Yeah... he said this in the video.
and Deadpool
He was probably the easiest to adapt into the movies, and they still screwed it up. There was no need to over-complicate things with an unnecessary twist.
I’m glad he’s a secret boss in Spider-Man for the PS4/PS5, even if you know nothing about him, you still know that he’s a serious threat. And his sword looks a lot cooler because it’s made of photogenic energy.
Loved playing as him in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3.
So hyped this week
I keep laughing every time he says "he" when referring to Taskmaster, especially after seeing the movie
Yeah it's funny how Disney keeps messing up decade old characters. Smh lol
@@chitowner3128 ikr lmao, i admit the twist was cool but, I kinda wanted to see the old one :(

He didnt get recognize at all. This wasnt taskmaster at all in black widow. It was widownator
He tried to copy slapstick and literally broke his back😂.
Except Taskmaster wasn't really in Black Widow. Just the armor, it was a totally different person. 🤷♂️
Yup
I think the real taskmaster is hiding in mcu
Taskmaster is dope in the comics.
I agree 100%. I'm worried they'll do him dirty in BW

Man how they did my boy Tony like that in the movie. That's some straight bullshit
This video needed a Dashlane sponsor lol poor Taskmaster probably don't remember any of his passwords
this guy gives out tasks to the heroes and put them under pressure on which to choose/do for the sake of other ppls life.hes like a mastermind,i don’t understand why MCU didnt potray that side of him.in the comics and series hes always potrayed one step ahead of everyones idea/moves
Exactly taskmaster isn't stupid
@@LinkMaster5555 he does have an ego tho
@@coltkillergaming5685 definitely does lol but still not stupid
Taskmaster definitely deserved this debut. His ability to mimic anything he sees is literally the superpower I would want over anything else. Only hold up is it being limited to only regular human actions.
Can't wait for black widow movie gonna be lit

You already know 🤟

You read my mind bro.
Oh Boy
No he isn't he isn't even in the movie that much
He didnt feel like the main villain. Like a side villain it felt
Thats cause she was
being hired by a rich man to play golf in his stead is hilarious
Been waiting for this history of episode for a long time.
MCU we need a Taskmaster movie now, to make up for that black widow movie.
Taskmaster vs agent 47 I want to see that variant
Word? Good call but as much as I hate to admit it...I think 47 would get whooped...
Task master in Black Widow was terrible. The PS4 side mission with Task Master gave him more of a back story and character development. SPOILER: Black Widow Taskmaster is an Iron Man drone! Talk about LAZY!!!
Damn I’d love for this guy to have his own movie!
Refering to Taskmaster from Black Widow, 2 things
1: Dont do gender swaps. Never again.
2: I loved the design
For a while I was friends with the editor Taskmaster's first miniseries. Great guy, I need to give him back his GoT box sets.
Now this is marvel's true slade Wilson the terminator
Except Taskmaster debuted before Deathstroke.
MCU did TM a dirty...such a waste of a good villain, RIP TM
Ummmmm now I can’t be the only one that feels he deserves a solo film series
Bro I was literally wondering the same thing 🤣
Not after that portrayal in the Black Widow movie lol
Imagine having daredevil’s powers, bullseye’s aim, deadpool’s healing, and taskmasters skills
One of my fav villain's just behind doom
do a history of all superman copies/inspirations through the decades, add your character in that list too.
A villian that's capable of even defeating someone like Deathstroke . Such a cool villian
@@michaeldemiurgos1 yep
They really butchered Task Master in this Black Widow movie.
I bet Taskmaster could even copy a Jedi Knight's lightsaber skills.
seeing him in a movie, just sheerly amazing, i love his outfit, i love his skills and i love taskmaster. seeing him in THE movie... underwhelming to say the least...
Your timing with this video is genius.
The initial previews for Black widow had me thinking it was trailer's for Snake eye's gijoe. Not Black widow the way taskmaster looked.
Now I want to see Batman vs Taskmaster
they really did taskmaster dirty in black widow
How can they make crossbones more badass than taskmaster in the MCU
I love Task Master! They really did him dirty in Black Widow...
That's why I don't believe that girl in black widow is task master. May be just a sample or something like him
I don't like what black widow did to him at all
Well if it ain't the most dangerous ability ever or the coolest
Taskmaster is a Bigger Disappointment in Black Widow than Deadpool was in X-men Origins: Wolverine!!
"So to finally see him get some much deserved recognition on the big screen is quite glorious." Yeah that didn't age too well.
Disney gender switches another character again from male to female for the worst again. Unfortunate and a huge step back once again. STOP WITH THE B.S. DISNEY!!! Totally ruined Taskmaster in Black Widow
You can have a future male taskmaster because of, you know, the Multiversal phase.
They change things raddicaly from the comics and no one bats an eye except for the people that actually liked those characters.
You like Taskmaster, well too bad he wasn' t used as you would have liked. But come on, it isn't such a big deal.
@@deltaone2837 It’s a big deal that he was wasted, given he’s a massively popular villain and they basically used nothing from his origins. I personally don’t mind too much that he’s a female now, but the character itself is trash af compared to the comic version.
@@deltaone2837 taskmaster isn't a secondary character...
@@deltaone2837 nothing is a big deal. They could say Tony Stark was a villain all the time, and it won't be a big deal. These are fictional characters.
But if you decide to get invested into fictional characters, genuine criticism over shitty moves is warranted. MCU's modifies comic book characters all the time. When it hits the eye, they get praise. When it doesn't, they also deserve the backlash.
I won't feel sorry for a multi-billion dollar film studio anyway, they are raking millions. A little criticism won't hurt their soul.
