- Short video on how I got my 1976 BMW 2002 Barn Find project running after a 19 year hiatus. From draining oil to cleaning the carbs I give this car a thorough checkup before attempting to start it!

The world needs more 2002 content like this!! Really shows how simple and reliable these cars are after so many years it runs smooth. Awesome.
That’s pretty sweet. The 2002 is my next vintage car. Love the way BMW built their machines in the 70s. Have you had any trouble with brand new points / condensers? What oil did you end up putting in it?
This has to be one of the most underrated car channels on RUclips
Thanks man!
@@davidsgarage great content! Great camera work, beautiful cars!
I got a 73 2002 which is same color and completely restored with California top , the most beautiful car of the 20th and 21st century and possibly 22nd century .
I wonder what the former owner thinks now that you got the 1976, Alpina 2002,working again, good job.
NICE PROJECT !!!
This was my father in laws car!!! He emailed us your RUclips channel today, so cool to see the car running! My fiancé is losing his mind as we watch. Thanks for restoring the car. ♥️
No way! That’s awesome
My last Taiga green was a 1974.
I'm looking for another 02. I'm in Calgary. Please keep up the videos.
I have a 2002 automatic 3 speed from 1972 here in Portugal,these are good cars,i like your channel,congratulations.
Just a gorgeous car. Amazing how these simple sedans were so eye catching. Bmw just got it right.
shame BMW suck now
That's a fantastic color on a great car.
Thank you!
The interior looks well preserved.
I just bought a 1969 2002 Hasn't run since 98 I would be happy to send it to you to make it run.
Awesome find man. Great seeing other creators working on these old boxes. Hit me up if you ever feel like doing EFI or turbocharging a 2002. Subscribed.
I have the same year and color except with less parts. It will be rolling 1 day.
Nice video! I'm just about to start a very similar project, a 1974 2002 that's been sitting in a garage for 20 years. Pretty new to the whole thing so this was really helpful!
As an owner of a 75 2002, what a great video! Please upload some more content !
What a mint car. Love it!
Good job getting it running, Mate.
Love the video man😄😃😄
I love this car! One day i am going to have one
Love the rims
Great 2002! Subscribed :)
I just bought your old inka 2002!
Incredibly rust free considering where you live
Fantastic car! You should polish it and preserve any rust with clear coat!
Just saw another taiga green 2002 on RUclips driven by Dusty Does Cars. The 2002 featured is a 300 hp turbocharged M20 (from an E30) and sounds glorious!! You should definitely check it out!
Thanks, Just watched it! Awesome footage on the California roads
I liked this video after the first 30secs
So rewarding to get it going :) love the colour. off topic, what’s the scoop on that Passat that’s in the background of some of your vids? Winter car? Is it a TDI? (Love VW)
Thanks! Not a TDI. It’s a daily driver
Sorry but that's a regular cam cover and not Alpina. Would suggest cleaning top contact on rotor arm where the distributor cap connects via sprung graphite post. That was clearly a cherish 02 judging by all the choice "go faster" parts fitted. Great colour too!
Thanks! Yeah Tiaga is a great colour! What makes you think its not an Alpina valve cover?
M10 the best 4 cylinder engine in the world and its powerful legend son s14 👌
its a good 4 banger but there are much better twin cam 4 cylinders. but maybe not so forgiving
pleas do more bmw e10 vids
Glad to see it started ok. My 1974 has 13” tires and I’ll need new ones in the spring. I looked around and only Kal Tire had some. Do you know of a different store or web site that might have them?
I have heard good things about the tire rack!
I always wonder where people find “barn finds”. Do you find someone , who knows someone, who knows someone else with a car? Maybe asking people at car meets is a start...
How do you find all these vintage BMWs?
More! :)
nice car and good work, can you tell jet settings and if it has a fuel pressure regulator. thanks. dist part number?
What wheels are those? Do you know?
Compomotive 13”, not sure the exact model
Could you please give me ideas, as to how to open the 2 front doors, they are stuck, but they are open, it*s a 1989 535 I, any help would be appreciated.
What is the recommended oil type for the old m10?
engine breather hose was not attached on start up that would help idel
Is that the firing order in the valve cover? Those headers are so cool. Your car is a total babe
yes 1 3 4 2
Forgot to mention it*s a 4 door, 2 back doors open.
How much did you buy it for?
Are you keeping it.
I have some road trip plans already!
Does 2002 parts fit on a Lada? like doors, lights or windows etc. ?
Houa une alpina le Graal de la BMW tu la vend cette 2002 alpina
This is a regular valve cover, just painted ... the Alpina version says Alpina on it
