That's right, we got our hands on a Citroen Ami and decided the best way to test it out was to get on the roads of the UK capital - offering our services as the cutest electric-powered cab out there.
And with Eilis at the wheel our passengers are in for a ride like no other...

It's fresh, it's a joy to watch and will put a smile on anyone's face. Great choice of guests, you could actually do a regular "coffee in AMI with Eilis" series and discuss mobility or just have fun! My feed is crowded with Boris, Trump, wars, crisis, and cats ... I think many people would like to get up to Coffee with Eilis and an entertaining guest.

I am not a fan of regular electric cars, but the Ami and electric bikes seem to make the most sense as urban transport.

FS695DQ is the promo car. Driven it and its great. It was originally a stock Ami and was later upgraded with the POP pack. Also used by Car Throttle and WhatCar

I cancelled my Ami reservation recently as a deal on a used Nissan Leaf came up. 7k for that vs 8k for an Ami with a colour pack. Not as small but otherwise better all round, so I think it'd take some good lease deals or a need for that small size to get people in an Ami.
A Nissan Leaf is not exactly small and can't be charged with a 3 pin plug! I am not looking for another 4 seater. All depends what you are looking for. For my purposes I'd take the Ami over the Nissan Leaf.

Sadly most 14 year olds in uk are too immature. Hell even most 17 years olds come to think of it. The roads would be a living nightmare and uk would grind to a halt

I love the Citroen Ami. Ive driven the one in this video a few times now. Ive been singing its praises to everyone Ive met into cars. Ive paid the £250 to get onto the waiting list... yet Citroen havent released any prices or contacted anyone on the waiting list. Additionally the price has now gone up in France so when it comes to the UK its looking to be more around £8k than the £6k we had all hoped for. Its making it really difficult to continue the enthusiasm. #takemymoney

I live in Ireland and was looking them up for here. You will have to have a full driving license here and they want to charge €10000 for it which makes it a lot less attractive

Vancouver is like London. Rain 9 months of the year and very little snow if any. Makes you suicidal!

Cause it’s not a car. It’s a quadricycle and it has absolutely no NCAP rating or safety features because of that. You can’t expect something made entirely out of plastic to have crumple zones and an airbag…
That requirement to use a 2 pin ? 3 pin adapter is going to mean more than a few fires. What on earth were Citroen thinking?

Bit misleading when she says only £20 per month omitting to tell viewers that a hefty non refundable payment of approximately £3,000 is required up front. Therefore factoring that in it is not just £20 per month overall - considerably more. Sounds a bit like something that BORIS would say!
