The Bean Soup was less liked because of the strong taste of ham, but not everybody uses ham. The Bean Soup is about lots of Beans, Ciorba de Fasole. Many people eat it without ham or any kind of meat. And it is usual eaten with sour pickled cabbage.

The most beautiful place in Romania is Maramureș. It has many places to visit, including the Waterfall of the Horses, the Merry Cemetery, Mocănița, Bârsana, Breb, Sighet, Moisei Monastery, Sapanta Peri Monastery, etc.

In the south of Romania and in Moldova borscht is used in the preparation of soup because of this the soup is slightly sour. In Transylvania the soup has a different taste because we do not use borscht. I recommend potato soup with smoked meat.

Meatball soup - the sour taste is from "bors" (wheat bran, corn and fermented water) and the seasoning is not with coriander or basil, is with lovage. The tripe soup and Radauteana soup are sour with vinegar. Ciorba de fasole soup has thyme spice. I'm glad you liked our soups. See you guys !
Hi guys. I need to make this distinction about the perpetual mistake in translation of "ciorba". In Romania, are 3 traditional liquid foods: 1. Supa - Known as Soup all over the world. Can be with clear broth or creamy. 2. Ciorba - More thicker and more complex process to prepare, has the roots in Middle East, formerly known as Persian empire - "Chorba or shorba". In North America is close to "chowder". 3. Tocăniță - Also known around the world as stew.
Supa is sweet, ciorba is sour( Lemon juice and tomatoes ) ..... Bors, is much more sour( you use Bors to make it ) .....!!!! and the stew is not in the same category .....it's second course....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So glad that you are trying these. There are a couple that are missing here: Chicken soup which is sometimes made with a special dumpling. And secondly, the beets soup. One of the best soups. But it might be regional.
These are all very tasty sour soups, but we have more types of sour soups, all traditional. My favorites are: 1. The purple spinach sour soup (ciorba de loboda) wich is a lighter, spring soup, very fresh, pink in color from the purple spinach with an unique taste from this herb, also served with sour cream 2. The smoked pork and tarragon sour soup (ciorba de tarhon cu afumatura) wich resembles the bean and pork soup only without the beans, not so heavy, and with tarragon (besides other vegetables), wich gives an unique falvour 3. As others told you, you should try the fish sour soup, in 2 versions, one just as fish sour soup (ciorba de peste) and another, only served in Danube Delta , the "storceag" which is like a fish puree with garlic and sour cream, totally delicious.
i would eat ciorba in the morning, noon and evening, its my all time favorite, delicious, nutricious and healthy, full of vegetables and flavours, and the meat is boiled and not too much, ciorba is the perfect balanced food.
I got emotive seeing your video, they just remind me of my home and how emotional it is every time to eat a well don ciorba! I got to tell you that, from my experience, the ciorba with beef is probably the best one (maybe with less tomato) when eaten hot enough and maybe putting a bit on salt on the fat jelly side of beef… Next time try it!
if you want to see other than food in bucharest im offering to show few places ,i ve never eat tribe soup ,but the smell and appereance attracts me ,my fav. is the beef soup and beans and pork.enjoy !
Ciorba de burtă is my favorite (stomach beef soup) even though I hate the stomach texture so I don't eat those, the taste of the soup is still my most favorite. ♡♡♡
In general we have that ciorba with bread (otherwise don't taste the same, you need to have the exactly same experience...and it depends how and who is cooking...as not all the people or restaurants will cooking good,,,(,maybe you should try it a few time at diferit places around Romania) and sometimes with chilli too(depends of the soup), but you should try the caw belly soup at the end as have strong flavours and it will fade the other soups...ciorba yes it is sour soup but we have the "normal" soups too (i put it normal in quotes because we call the ciorba as normal to us because ciorba is more popular than the ones other west europeean have it..., many other countries have this sour soups too, East Europe, Central Europe, Middle East, India, etc Ciorba have this "secret" ingredient called borsch which is fermented wheat bran, but in these days people may replace it with vinegar, lemon, sauerkraut juice... anyway, I'm so happy you visit Romania and you have nice experiences there and enjoy the food, well done guys. I think you ordered too many for one goal and I hope that you had the power to walk afterwords...
You should try in the spring spinach soup and garden sorrel soup or nettle paste or cream i don't know how shoud i call it wich is full of iron...after a winter of pork they are so light for the stomach

Best choice, Ivana! Tripe soup is usually served with a few drops of vinegar and, yes, a 🌶 on the side. Ciorba Radauteana is another Romanian favourite! Our white soups are all sour and garlicky and we love them most!
It's actually made with vinegar, some people just choose to add more, to their taste... but it's supposed to have some in it already, to cut some of the fatty feeling and to kinda prevent the acid reflux/heartburn some people get when they eat garlic.

Overall, i hope you liked Romania food and places.

Husg,

Bravo !
Si strainiii folosesc borș si stiu ce-i aia, de fapt multe natii au ciorbe.
Love this video, thank you for trying our romanian soups 🥰🥰🥰
What you haven't tried is real bean ciorba ( should be only veggies) smoked pork one and going down SE of the country the fish one and is delicios 😉
ivana true romanian , not eating for days before going out is a first indication of the person's romanian identity
Wow, looks like you having a broth buffet. Enjoy your meal both of you guys.
the world is beautiful, romania has many interesting and wonderful places ❤❤❤
You guys should try ciulama with mushrooms and chicken. It's like a creamy soup but much thicker. It's really good
Hi guys.
I need to make this distinction about the perpetual mistake in translation of "ciorba".
In Romania, are 3 traditional liquid foods:
You HAVE to try RUBARBURA soup , its a pink colored soup sour and the best soup you can eat in romania, traditional
the sourness comes from borș, an fermented ingridient/liquid used in most all of the romanian soups
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bor%C8%99_(bran)
Câte una în fiecare zi!
Ciorba de burta my favorite! i swear if if put me in a Bathtub with Ciorba de Burta, is all i want :D
I’m have to try that restaurant next time when I’m in București
Thanks for showing your ciorbã party.
Great video idea, guys!
Nice, they look really authenthic. try the tripe soup with some vinegar and the beans one with red onions.
I've cooked Romanian soups in India and people became addicted to them :) My favorite is " Perisoare" soup, you must try it!
Good job!
they did try it, did you even watch the video?
Glad you liked them!
Mine is Ciorba de perisoare as well !
Try supa de pui cu galuste, it was my favorite when I was a kid
i would eat ciorba in the morning, noon and evening, its my all time favorite, delicious, nutricious and healthy, full of vegetables and flavours, and the meat is boiled and not too much, ciorba is the perfect balanced food.
The best blog I seen of you guys your description almost makes me feel like I’m tasting it amazing well done 👍
You should also try an old soup such as homemade noodle soup. Fish soup and "plachia"...Beof salad and "racitura"...
Ce zici tu e patrimoniu national 😆......supa de taitei de casa 😋
@@yospectre3970 Corect dar măcar să știe și ei mâncarea adevărată tradițională 🙄🤔🙈😂😂😂
It's impossible not to like soups because they are healthy.
5 stars times 6 soups....30 star lunch! Doesn't get any better!
this is your best video so far, but can't say I watched so much of them, but I will
indeed a good idea for a video, props to the girl
I got emotive seeing your video, they just remind me of my home and how emotional it is every time to eat a well don ciorba! I got to tell you that, from my experience, the ciorba with beef is probably the best one (maybe with less tomato) when eaten hot enough and maybe putting a bit on salt on the fat jelly side of beef… Next time try it!
We are coming back to Romania soon!! Will look for more ciorba :D ! Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed.
if you want to see other than food in bucharest im offering to show few places ,i ve never eat tribe soup ,but the smell and appereance attracts me ,my fav. is the beef soup and beans and pork.enjoy !
Ciorba de burtă is my favorite (stomach beef soup) even though I hate the stomach texture so I don't eat those, the taste of the soup is still my most favorite. ♡♡♡
I love corba (that's the serbian way of writing the word "ciorba").
Daaa sacrilegiu, ciorba fără pâine!!!
Oh, yeah! The soup, ciorba, the medicine after you got drunk really bad, it saves your soul! 🤣🤣🤣
You should try in the spring spinach soup and garden sorrel soup or nettle paste or cream i don't know how shoud i call it wich is full of iron...after a winter of pork they are so light for the stomach
„Ciorbă rădăuțeană” can be literally translated to „Soup from Rădăuți”.
Rădăuți is a city and small region in the Romanian half of Moldova.
I've been watching English-speaking vloggers for years, and this is the closest any have got to mentioning something from that part of the country.
Radauti is actually from Bucovina.
@@serlucian9155 Și Bucovina unde e?
@@petrisorstefan2593 Nu e in Moldova, asta e clar.
Bucovina a devenit o parte distincta de Moldova dupa ce a fost sub conducere austriaca aproape 200 de ani.

I'm Romanian born, living in the UK. When I have seen you like that, it is to make me to go back to my natal place. The Romanian food are very good. I was travel in many countries, like from Asia, to South America, and in Europa, but like in Romania food, nowhere. I miss Romania food and the people. So sorry for the UK. God bless all mankind.
If you like tripe soup, there's really nothing more to say. You're an honorary Romanian :))
We don't use oregano, that one was thyme (cimbru)
Oooooh…. I love soups too! The beef and meatball soup looks like minestrone soup with meat. 😋😋😋😋 M drooling through out the video. 😅😅😅
There’s lots of çorba here in Turkey too. We’ve been going to a shop specializing in it often. Really good!
yes I think the word was brought over in Romania and slightly different but similar :)
Hello...how are you guys doing in Turkey?
The best are TOCANA the stew and some bean soup with "ciolan" especially! I also like "ciorba de pui a la grec" (chicken soup a la grec).
But some love the most "ciorba de burta", which I dislike it!
Ciorba rădăuțeană my alltime fav 😍🔝
The white soups are made sour with yogurt btw, the light and colored ones uses bors(made from fermented wheat)
Gosh, everything looks so mouth-watering 🤩
Wow! Awesome video! 😊👍
I'm totally biased 😂 being from Romania...
My 2 favorite ciorbă: the tripe one and the meatball one
Thank you guys for this video. I live in Romania and I like the ciorba.
Biting the hot pepper made my day, like a romanian , a bite of pepper ,one of ciorba! Sourness comes ,most of the time from borsh, a juice from fermented wheat bran!
HAHAHAHA!! When you mentioned "sup perut" in Malaysia, I suddenly remembered when you tried the Sup Torpedo!!!.. (ayayayay..) 😁 Reminds me also of when I was in the Netherlands and I remarked to my host "So bonen soup doesn't have bones in it" and he started laughing really hard.. ("bonen soup" is bean soup...)
