This reminds me of how back when I was a kid and played the Sims 1 I used to sit down and watch the intro excitedly each time, and they built this funky looking house - so I tried to mimic the build myself (and back then I didn't even know screenshotting was a thing so I just saved, closed the game and reopened it to see how the house looked each time lol!)
We even got a little terrain tools tutorial built in! Just a few days ago i was trying to do something similar with terrain and I gave up 😩 Now I'm inspired to go back and try again!

I work from home 3 days a week and honestly don't take many breaks but when I make myself take one it usually includes watching a few minutes of James. This was amazing how much you made your house look like EA's house. I would love to see a renovation of this with your touch. Thank you for filling my life with fun.

I would love to see a video where you renovate this to make it more practical. And it would be so cool if you could ask The Sims 4 team to provide you with the original file for this house so that you can compare your recreation to it. I've been loving all the content lately, but even as entertaining as some of the series are... this was amazing to me. I mean to be able to shut your brain off enough to really see what's actually going on. I never would have noticed that pool was where it was. To me looking at it, my brain just plopped it on the same height, right close to the back patio area, but it's on a different level and so far away! You did a really fantastic job with this.
Watching you slide the photo for comparison is so satisfying lol Build challenge where people send you a screenshot of their weird builds and you try and match the screenshot 😂
Personally, I love it. Great unique vibe, but easily walkable and useful, too. A bit much on the shrubbery, but it does look good, so...not going to complain about that for once. I love how you did the 'unseen' areas behind and under the house. You should build more homes like this. I am partial to the 'split level' styles.

Seeing these houses sometimes makes me think of the thing Starbucks did with misspelling names so people would post it online and talk about it like there is no way someone in their right mind built this monstrosity using that carpet in the bedroom thinking that this is a great house.
YASSS! I wanted to see this house made real! lol I can't remember if I looked at it long enough to notice it was weird; I think I did but not to this extent. Btw, I always wanted to recreate that house you see at the top of the EA Gallery website; overlaying the screenshot of the enthusiastic red-headed Sim on the left. I think they built it on that empty lot, Arid Ridge, in the Skyward Palms neighborhood of Oasis Springs, where the Caliente's live (alongside two empty houses.) I'm assuming it's all base game because I think that image has been on the gallery for as long as I can remember! There's no floor plan, and it looks rather small and weird in hindsight, but I was irked that EA hadn't shared it (from what I could tell by.) I'd be thrilled if James wanted to build that one too!
This build gives such 80s and (some) 90s vibes! It would be neat to see you take more liberties with it and make it your own. Hopefully you'll do a reno of it!
As weird as the layout of this house is, I'm actually very inspired by the multi-level aspect of it. I NEVER touch terrain raising tools so maybe it's time...

I think this would be a cool reno and personally I'm getting community lot vibes. Like it would be cool to do a garden/library. Especially with that pathway underneath, it would be cool to have window flooring to see the people on the path below.
After recreating every big wallet building not on the gallery, and then giving up on recreating Chaz's farm, I cannot properly express how satisfying it is to watch James try such a difficult recreation.
This build reminds me of doll house with only seeing the build from a certain angle, some of the oversized objects trying to fit in and all the crazy colours 😎
I loved watching you work backwards to figure out how they built this James. You're like the sims version of algebra 😂 You have so much sims knowledge, its amazing! I know you've been playing for a long time but I would never have thought of some of the stuff you do in your videos. Excellent!
In general this is such a cool build challenge idea - copying any build with just one picture from just one angle! You could challenge other people to do one of your builds, or get Deli to make a build and take a picture for you to copy
i didn't really care much for the original photo from the sims when I first saw it, but seeing it as a shell now, it's actually a beautiful shell! I can't wait to download this and spruce it up with some CC :)

The terrain tools are pretty good if you can work them out, but they're a little clunky haha
