- Dragon Ball has had more than its fair share of movies, and in this video I'm going to go through each and rank them. Hero's Legacy isn't in this video, I'll be making a separate video about that.

@@ShadowMaster-jb2vr Replacing Cell Max wouldn't make sense for the story, Cell Max works better because it actually ties into the story where Bio-Broly was just a cash grab. Cell had some connections to both Red Ribbon Army and Dr. Hedo and wasn't just shoehorned in to try and be the big appeal of the movie, even had Dr. Hedo being slightly apposed to Cell Max because of his connections to Dr. Gero.

thew new Broly movie should be the top of the top because it was not only the best "Dragon ball movie" it was a very good movie that everyone can enjoy.
I actually like Mystical adventure. The reimagining of the story is so weird I kinda want to see more of that timeline
I really love & appreciate those early DBZ movies( up to Lord Slug) that really represented the essence of what the old style of DB was about, action & adventure. It really is it's own feeling that you only really appreciate from watching DB before Z. Even though it's all DB, Toei most likely wanted the name of the new anime to reflect the rebranding with the change of direction. For sure the very next movie after Lord Slug, Cooler's Revenge represents this change in the movie direction, when oddly enough the Frieza arc wasn't even done being animated yet in Japan & was just starting it's climax when Cooler's Revenge dropped lol. Little trivia there.
No surprise that some of the highest rated movies were around the time of the best arc: Cell

Mystical Adventure is my fav comedy DB movie
Deadzone and the Garlic Jr saga are one of the few that are my favorite. I love the humor in it.
Honestly, Deadzone had one of the last coreographed martial arts moments in Z media before it became just super speed and flash blasts
The Garlic Jr filler had its chance to let Kid Gohan shine all alone with Goku still lost in space
I'm not really a defender of the Garlick jr. saga, but I like the idea of making zombies everyone on hearth. And I really enjoyed the Vegeta's scenes in the space

I've only seen most of the DBZ movies and some of the DBS movies ... here goes, from best to worst: 1) Cooler's Revenge, 2) Bardock - Father of Goku, 3) History of Trunks, 4) Bojack Unbound, 5) Tree of Might, 6) Return of Cooler, 7) Return of F, 8) Super Android 13, 9) Wrath of the Dragon, 10) Fusion Reborn, 11) Battle of Gods, 12) DBS: Broly, 13) Lord Slug, 14) Dead Zone, 15) Broly The Legendary Super Saiyan, 16) Broly 2nd Coming, 17) World's Strongest, 18) Hatchiyack OAV, 19) Episode of Bardock, 20) Bio Broly, 21) The Return of Son Goku and Friends ... haven't seen any of the Dragonball and Dragonball GT movies, haven't seen Dragonball Super: Super Hero yet either ... It's also hard for me to nitpick between them because some of them are very close in quality but for completely different reasons ... so it's hard for me to even compare some of them, let alone rank them, but I guess for now this could be more or less a fairly accurate estimate of my personal ranking so far ...

I believe the one awesome one I seen briefly along time ago is the Bojack unbound it had an epic battle scene with a lot of z fighters and enemy's.
Super Android 13 does not deserve Z.
That movie deserves D tier legit one of the worst Z movies shit was trash. Only good part was Trunks and Vegeta getting some shine and Android 15 was kinda funny.

I know this is a relatively older video but I thought it would take a shot at it anyway.
Now I will agree with you with some things but it's been known that Akira Toriyama did have something to do with those old dragon ball movies so always considered those old dragon ball movies Canon as well they're just in a different verse.
In GT was Canon Akira Toriyama did have a lot to do with GT in the very beginning.
In about the Goku's Kaioken he also used it during the Revenge of Cooler and also used it in Lord Slug the movie.
Cast for Dragon Ball super it does not tie into the original continuity like really some fans think that it does it's more of an outlier then you think and just because Akira toriyama's name is on it does it make it part of the original continuity.
I mean the sheer fact that Majin Buu's even in super means it's an alternate timeline because they link the Supreme Kai's life with beerus is in Kid Buu back in the day was causing mass destruction Universal scale even going as far as killing the Supreme Kai's so beerus would have had to have destroyed Kid Buu some Majin Buu would not have existed for Goku and Vegeta to even encountered.
Course there's many other factors at play that go against super but they would take way too long here for me to go into depths about it.
Now I know that GT haters out there don't want to admit it are downright ignored what does come up with this ridiculous non-canon debate what GT completely ignoring that Akira Toriyama had a hand in it he drew all the art that was used throughout GT he promoted it even any even enjoyed the direction to GT took.
I mean he even went as far as to say the fans could look at GT the official continuation of Z
Or a Side Story.
But overall GT is way more consistent with the original timeline of Dragon Ball even though Goku was a kid you were still had the wisdom of it of an elderly man you could tell had all those battles in Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball z.
But overall I think that Dragon Ball super disgraces every single character they bring back some fans want these characters to come back and Dragon Ball play Dragon Ball super is like Twisted Metal you may get a wish but that wish will come with a twist and I can just see calypso laughing at Dragon Ball super.
Wrath of the dragon and Fusion reborn are Z tier for me

This list started well but devolved into new=better which i think is misplaced. Also Broly 1: Vegeta went the entire movie doing nothing. He always fights despite it being hopeless, but not here. Piccolo showing up made zero sense. Then the ending was a cop out because they all just fed power to Goku. They should have thrown Broly into the comet or something after finding out they were no match for him.

I'm sorry, Broly 2bd coming and bio Broly are at least a tier for me. We finally get some Goten and trunks non fusion action. Yes Broly himself sucks in those movies but everything else is unique.

@@duncanpincushion9980 well thats because goku and vegeta are genuinely well written characters. + recycled villains isnt always bad, if it aint broke dont fix it. Building up characters like frieza and witnessing their growth is interesting to the viewer, same especially with vegeta.
on the other hand, goten and kid trunks are pretty shit characters... they're just children catered to the younger audience due to their "funny quips", though i understand where you're coming from, bringing back old villains and such isnt always a good idea (especially with the horror that was cell max... and bio broly ofc)

The first three DBZ movies were the BEST. Goku ACTUALLY USES MARTIAL ARTS MOVES. They don't have sloppy fighting or boring animation like Battle Of Gods, Super Broly and Super Hero👎🏽 Super Android 13 was just 13 absorbing parts from 14, and 15 to power up. Sounds just like Cell absorbing 17 and 18🤔 Broly is over hyped. The action was boring as all hell in the first two Broly movies. Bio Broly had the best action out of the three since Goten and Trunks never fought in Super Saiyan form in the Boo Saga (worst Z saga ever made 💩.) The movies overall go down after after Tree Of Might💯
Mostly agree. Bio Broly had good choreography and we get to see other characters handle things without Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, or Piccolo, which is a big deal.

Broly never hated Goku for crying that was just a joke that TFS made but everyone took it to seriously. Second Coming that garbage sequel also made it look that way to but movie 8 Broly never hated Goku for crying.

While they did have parts of worlds strongest that are really boring I do have to say it had also great parts and plot and the only movie to put piccolo being possessed and also pitted against goku and the main cast that was genius to do so cuz no other did anything creative like that it was only who’s stronger who’s stronger. I think worlds strongest is the most underrated film along with lord slug and dead zone. I enjoyed lord slug music and fights the best also slug was the only namekian enemy in all of dragonballz includig the sagas and movies so to me that only made lord slug a great movie as piccolo would’ve been the only other enemy who’s namekian and that’s bakc in original dragonball not z…. The first 4 movies are super underrated in their enemies Their backstory their goals and what they accomplished. Garlic jr and lord slug are the only villains in z to wish for something successfully where freiza and vegeta failed!!!!

Coolers revenge is also one of my fav movies but here is where things start to get too familiar and less creative and that is the only thing I feel it could’ve improved on. Android 13 the look of the enemies was good but the music was trash lol the ending of how he died was perhaps my favorite of any movie but it doesn’t make up for the boring movie it was. Bojack is the other one that is underrated I enjoyed a quick tournament done in 1 hr and done rather well if anything t my complaint was that most movies too short and could’ve
Been made better by just dragging it out anotjer hr adding more opponents to battle or more anticipation and buildup of bojacks fights and less rush. Movie 10 I did enjoy bio broly I actually really loved bcuz we haven’t seen the androids do anything in a movie since Android safa and I mean 18 and at that time seeing an Android 18 against broly as crazy especially considering the androids were the strongest besides cell and broly at the time and how bio broly proves superior of geros creations of androids 17 and 18 so bio broly is still plenty powerful. Janemba movie th designs are cool but it was my least fav movie honestly it’s super overrated imo and movie 13 is the opposite of 12 it’s not a forced fusion victory and one that was no real fight but a good fight and phenomenal ending with dragon fist k think out of the last 6-7 movies wrath of the dragon was one of the better ones. The hero and villain are both mysterious races we’ve never seen it was just good without a need for hype to ruin it
