Honestly if any z character busts out some special attack that can't be released in 5 seconds or less, bet it will fail. You will win money 90% of the time.
That technique really be eating over in the movies. But yeah in the series it's pretty worthless

Reminder that Cell cried every time he was defeated after he absorbed the first cyborg. This contributes heavily to the fact that first form Cell is the superior version of Cell, who did not cry when defeated.
Maybe crying is the superior thibg to do 😮😮😮
He didn't cry cos he wasn't perfect. When he was perfect he cried because he believed he was the pinnacle and some child beat him. It hurt his pride.
That's because Imperfect Cell adopted Piccolo's personality, Semi Perfect Cell adopted Vegeta's personality, with Perfect Cell adopting Frieza's personality.
I think he just became more emotional after absorbing the androids who were a major part of him so he got their human emotions which z and super have shown they are more than capable of
Love Cell, but yes, he eventually ends up being Frieza 2.0, which is lame af for how he started out so sinister and absolutely chilling.
To be fair the 5 minute dying Namek fight was indeed 5 minutes if you consider they move casually at speeds the most trained eye can't register.
ordinarily you’d be right, but Goku & Frieza spend more than 5 mins standing and talking as well. so even if all the fighting happened in less than a second, the sheer amount of time spent talking would’ve run the clock down regardless. Unless you want to argue that they’re talking to each other extremely fast too, but that just seems ridiculous and isn’t shown to be the case at all. The simple answer is that in the manga, they don’t talk much and the fight isn’t that long, so it really could’ve been 5 mins, but anime filler bloated that 5 mins to a way longer timeframe.

This five minutes is clearly explained in latest dragonball multiverse episodes.. goku and vegeta stand on the tournament grounds, and liteerally a second later vegeta is lieing in a cater, all bruised.. for them it was few minutes, but they moved so fast that for everyone the whole fight was Just the blink of an eye.
Brilliantly edited and the jokes were on point. Can tell alot of effort went into this video.

I really liked the dofference between Cell and Super/Majin Buu. It's great that we went from a cold, calculating villain with Cell. Then we got Majin Buu who starts out as just some fat weirdo, becomes pure evil, gains more intelligence mimicing Cell in a sense, and then the final battle is with Kid Buu. A complete opposite to Cell's intellegence. A ball of pure unadulterated black air force energy that can't even speak
Kid Buu is basically Goku's perfect opponent. A hyper powerful dude who does nothing but fight and does weird attacks like Goku. THEY BOTH BIT EACH OTHER

dude, i'm so glad this got recommended to me. i was having a really bad day, but just had a nice laugh, tysm.
I personally liked Majin Buu the most. To me it was fun seeing him go from a goofball of destruction to an intelligent fighting threat before finally regressing to a monster that wanted nothing more than to have fun by creating as much chaos as he could.
He was brought a lot of psychology and magic into the series. Having to split between his good and evil halves. And the fact that he has GOD KI! Well… the Evil Buu that is >.> I’m glad I’m not the only one who appreciates the Bibidi Babidi Buu 🙆🏾♂️
I don't know. Personally, I think that if Buu started and ended as Kid Buu it would have felt less disjointed. Cell and Frieza were cooler to me since they still felt like the same character, but in different forms.
@@skyanaugustus3513 ahh I see what you mean. I don’t know why Buu went on absorbing more people when Kid Buu was his prime anyway. The only thing keeping him from Kid Buu wasn’t the Kai Buu. So if they just left absorbing and forms with good Buu and Kid Buu, that would make sense. Ability copying was getting really old too >.>
@@kanohu8983I think he absorbed the z warriors to taunt them I noticed it in the anime and in the dragon ball z kakarot game I saw that buu was trying to keep up with them in power levels because when gohan fights him he gets absolutely pissed that gohan is better than him he even says it both in the anime and game that he hates when someone is stronger than him and he says “I want to kill you” to gohan so I’m assuming he absorbs them to get there power levels and then challenge the next z warrior to show them how much more power he gained and he also displays it by having the same outfit as the person he absorbs, for example buu wears gohans gi when he he absorbs him and once goku and vegeta fuse they get absorbed by buu on purpose but they did it to free gohan and the others imprisoned and once they do that buu just loses his shit and starts to release all of his anger and rage and turns into kid buu his most purest evil form and it’s all released from the steam that comes out of his pores which has to be made of his Ki and rage those two combined is what gives him his strength and power to possess those crazy abilities he has!

For the frieza fight 6:00 it is explained that he is kinda guessing and trying to rush goku into making a mistake. He lies on purpose in this situation, I think someone compared it to the book art of war

@@wjoming3 well that’s the thing. The fighting is sped up. So that part is true. BUT! That doesn’t account for the 27 minutes of dialogue. So my theory that I learned from another video fits perfectly

As a Villain specifically, I can never rank any DBZ villain over Frieza. A huge part of being a villain, is villainy, and Frieza is as pure evil as it gets.
He didn't undergo any trauma to get him to this point, he was basically born that way, he knows he's evil, and he likes it. I'd rank Cell slightly higher as an Antagonist, but not as a Villain.
In his best selling book "How to be a great villain?", Freezer goes step by step on what a proper villain must do to earn the title, starting with the first chapter: "Alien Trafficking"

The death of Frieza feels like the series could have ended there and it would have been a great ending. The universe wide threat was defeated by the prophesied super saiyan.

Subjectively cell is the best villain in the entire series for me.
Cold, calculated, unique backstory that has personal connections with the Z Fighters. Personality is amazing. Loved first form when he was skulking around absorbing people.

I think the Cell Saga had the best storyline, but the animation and choreography in the Buu Saga are the best we’ve seen in Z, might just be because I like that era of art styles in Z too. Also I’d give kid Buu a 10/10 or a 9/10 just because he is the embodiment of a chaotic menace.

Namek saga was better, the cell saga was very random and you could tell Toriyama was making things up as he went along, not to mention all the time travel nonsense

Raditz was a 10/10 for me. He was mysterious, imposing and a genuine threat. I also believe it was Goku at his best in terms of personality.
Raddiz was so strong at the time that they broke their unwritten rule of never teaming up on opponents 💀
People forget that Raditz is the only villain that one shotted Goku then beat him twice in a row. He was also the only villain that Goku had to die to defeat.

I don't know why but I really really liked the fact that Radditz was Goku's brother.
I wish the scene where all the previous villains are watching Goku fight Kid Buu, Raditz would be a part of it and show a level of respect for his brother for not only unlocking SSJ but also going toe to toe with the greatest threat they’ve ever known at that point

It's noted in the manga that the FF was perfectly aimed and calculated.
In fact, that happens 2 times.
The Kamehameha that was stated to be powerful enough to blow up earth was perfectly aimed by Goku. Even Cell was scared and thought Goku would never released that attack.

I believe people don’t give Buu the credit he deserves. He ate all of the Z-fighters, blew up Earth, then beat the bricks off the two main protagonists twice. Buu’s purpose as a villain is as a force of nature: something completely unreasonable and incorruptible. He just is and the Z-fighters have the misfortune of being in his way. This is completely different than the last 2 big baddies and I love et. On top of that, Buu has the best fights because of his wild and dynamic style as well as his fun personalities.
Buu made me so mad I broke my tv watching his shit Like bro it hits different when you have a connection with every z fighter and bulma and chi chi like it hurts

Vs Cell who did whined like a bitch every time he was almost beaten and Frieza who made his own bed. Buu was literally something new to the formula. Ironically, he’s the only one who thought his way out of fights. Cell exploited Vegeta being an idiot and accidentally survived his own self destruction. Buu created diversions and plotted how to approach fights he couldn’t win. Ironically he’s DBZ’s best strategist

I will always prefer Frieza but I can never deny Cell was far and away the more Evil and vindictive villain, Frieza might blow up planets wiping away entire lives in the blink of an eye but cell will destroy a planet slowly and personally one human at a time until their all screaming in terror before his eyes. It’s the difference between a Dictator/Evil General and a completely Psychopathic serial killer.

I agree, it’s a really interesting dynamic. And I also love the idea of having the spoiled brat taking the reality check and working hard for once and becoming even more of a threat because of it, that’s a concept I don’t see often, and part of why I love Frieza as a character.

While my favorite Dragon Ball villain is Frieza, I will admit Gohan and Cell's battle is awesome. I absolutely love the fath/son Kamehameha at the end. An amazing end to an amazing fight.
I agree with most of your takes. Cell being my fav villain, Freeza should've stayed dead and not follow the villian becomming a friend arc. Vegeta being the best side/main character... Cell vs gohan was the best anime fight for me. Using cell's theme as outro was just 🤌...
DBZ was supposed to end with Cell. That was during '94. But pressure from all sides forced Akira T. to write the Buu Saga. That was '96 I believe. The second half of the 90s was a new era, a more vibrant and positive era, less grime, sweat, blood and drama. That's why the Buu Saga felt so different.
Vegeta is garbage and should've stayed dead on Namek with Freeza.

Goku and Frieza were moving so fast that in their perspective 5 minutes felt like hours. When you go past light speed time slows down to the point where minutes can feel like eternity and the fight was in their point of view.

I think its fine frieza came back. He was confident in coming out of the namek explosion squeaky clean implying his biological durability is far above any other race.
Hell, in Resurrection F, he was shown to be living while in his chopped up state after he was brought back. If you remember how he died, not only did Trunks cut him to pieces, he also disintegrated the pieces. He was STILL ALIVE after being reduced to cold cuts.

I'd rather get absorbed honestly, yeah it probably stinks in there while also being the textbook example of claustrophobia, but it's better than being penetrated by cells tail "pause" and getting drinked like a caprisun in the hot sun.

Majin Buu is hands down my favourite Z villain. So much variety with his forms and transformations and his ability to turn people into food to literally eat them was savage as all heck!! Didn't he cure a blind kid and give him milk made of some random dude? Just unforgettable...
