In my opinion I wouldn't skip straight to dragon ball z, and instead start with the original dragon ball because you really get to know Goku well and theres tons of entertaining parts, like the martial arts tournaments. Also it introduces a lot of side characters like Krillin, master Roshi, yamcha, and even piccolo. not only them but a lot of less shown characters like launch, and grandpa gohan get introduced. Thats why I would recommend watching the original. dragon ball first
I fully agree, I think I might like Dragon Ball better than Z for its balance of exploration and adventure. I also think starting with Kai is at least better than starting with Z because of how it summarizes the big events of the original series for the first half of episode 1, but anyone who starts that way and ends up liking it should absolutely go back at least to experience the original series which stands on its own as one of the best anime of all time!

I started watching Z in February fully knowing that Kai would be closer to the manga and higher quality with less filler. I’m on episode 179 currently.
I grew up watching DBZ a bit on the CW, but never finished any of it. So I binged all of Dragon Ball and DBZ. Finished DBZ for the first time a few days ago. First game I got was Budokai 2.🎮👌❤
I grew up with Dragon Ball (started with Dragon Ball Z, when it aired on US syndication) as well back in September 20, 1997 when I was a kid. My young brother introduced to me to th franchise, and I am excited and pump up to see what happens. It was in the Namek Saga where Bulma, Gohan, and Krillin thought that they went to Planet Namek, but they mistakenly arrived at Fake Planet Namek. It was part of a filler episodes between major sagas of Dragon Ball Z. And I was hooked with it as this was my second Japanese anime that I had watched as a kid back then alongside with Sailor Moon as my very first anime back in September 11, 1995, Pokémon as my third anime back in September 8, 1998, and Digimon as my fourth anime back in August 21, 1999. Those were the first four anime titles that I started with in the 1990s during my childhood years. Plus I had watched Toonami on Cartoon Network as well back somewhere in spring of 1999, when both Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon aired on the program block, which they became a huge popular success alongside with Pokémon at that time.
Honestly this is the most useful guides there is, gave us 2 options and explained it excellently, thanks to you I’ve caught up and I’m not lost anymore. Many thanks
Authentic experience would be watching Kai. It’s significantly more faithful to Toriyama’s original Manga. I grew up with Z but Kai is still more authentic
I’m going with list three. I’m trying to get FULLY invested into this franchise. And after that I might start buying little figurines and maybe video games as well 😅
You could start from the Games you still basically get everything if not watch the series up to Dragon ball z then buy and play the games depends if you'd play just about all the z games since you have the older consoles on ps and Xbox 360 and old xbox
I was told by my friends to start with z instead of the original dragon ball. I did just that, and then watched all of super before going back to the original. Take it from me: If you plan on getting invested in the franchise, start with Dragon Ball. If you just wanna see what the hype is about, do it the way I did.
When you get to the Z section, you watch Z up to 35 because most of the Saiyan training filler adds to the experience of the arc and Kai feels very rushed without it, then Kai up to the Trunks episodes, then Z for the Driving School episode, then Kai for the rest. Maybe Z for Buu since Final Chapters don't really cut that much and the Bruce Faulconer music from that era is really good if you're watching the dub.
Actually only one filler about Sayain training was good - the journey to Sayain planet. Everything else is just dull waste of time. Driving School also is total bullshit.
You should buy the box sets! It's an awesome way to always have them preserved, always available to watch, best quality possible to watch and they're not expensive! At least Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z and the movies for Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. I have the Dragon Ball DVD Box set which is 5 boxes with 5 DVDs. I just hate that it's on DVD media and still no BluRay media and even possibly a remaster or at least upscaling etc... I also have the full Dragon Ball Z Box set which is awesome because of it being remastered but it also has the Bruce Faulkner English dub, the original Japanese music English dub and the Japanese language plus subtitles. This box you can get for about $130 today!! That's a really great price it! You can always rip the DVD and Blu-ray in the DBZ box sets so you have digital copies as well.
I always wanted to watch dragon ball but i couldnt start because there was so many different dragon ball series and i didnt know the order so this video actually helped me thanks
I’m going for the third full list, only just started watching, loving it at the minute and just going to go with the flow and it takes as long as it takes
I'm watching everything this year excluding Kai and it came out to about 2 episodes per day for an entire year. Because I work 12 hour shifts about half of any given month though, it comes out to about an hour and a half on every day off.
should i really skip to dragon ball to dragon ball Z i’m on episode 6 of dragon ball and it’s been really boring and want to get to dragon ball Z but if i won’t get much i’ll get through it
@@wavy_pdzz-8122 Don't force yourself to watch something you aren't enjoying. Back in 2000, I was introduced to the series with DBZ and I loved it. You'll be missing a lot of context, especially how the different characters came to know Goku, but it won't detract too much from the overall experience. DB is 153 episodes long, so you're better off skipping to Z if you're not into it; otherwise, you'll burn yourself out before you even come close to watching Z.
Great watch order, only thing I'd do different is watch the Trunks movie right before the last episode of the Cell saga, that's what I did recently (on accident actually because I'd forgotten about all the movies including bardock and broly) I crammed it in right before that last episode and it almost feels like it was meant to be watched this way.
So, I compiled the ultimate canon list of the DB series(as I'm watching it for the first time), given some fan favorite material as well as including filler that doesn't involve heavily destroying/altering the anime's timeline. Here it is as follows. Lemme know your input where it matters or might be wrong. All Canon Order(Best Way To Watch Experience In Timeline) Dragon Ball - Watch episodes 1-153 - Watch Dragon Ball movies 1-4 (optional - summarizes the original). Curse of the blood rubies, Sleeping Princess In Devil's Castle, Mystical Adventure, Pursuit Of Power Dragon Ball Z and Kai - Watch Z episodes 1-35 - Watch Kai episodes 17-35 - Watch Z promo Bardock, The Father of Goku CANON - Watch Kai episodes 36-58 - Watch Z episode 125, Piccolo and Goku driving FILLER - Watch Kai episodes 59-66 - Watch Z promo the history of TRUNKS CANON - Watch Kai episodes 67-82 - Watch Z movie Broly, prologue to Cell Games saga CANON - Watch Kai episodes 83-98 - Watch Z movie Bojack Unbound, epilogue to Cell Games Saga CANON - Watch Kai Final Chapters episodes 99-165 - Watch Z movie: Wrath Of The Dragon, epilogue to the Kid Buu saga CANON - sets up Dragon Ball GT End of Z and Kai for now Dragon Ball Super - (optional) Watch Super episodes 1-15 - Watch Z movie Battle Of The Gods, same episodes - (optional) Watch Super episodes 16-27 - Watch Z movie Resurrection F, same episodes - Watch Super episodes 28-131 - Watch Dragon Ball Super Broly movie - Watch Dragon Ball Super Heroes (optional spinoff) FILLER - Watch Dragon Ball Super Movie: Super Hero CANON End of Dragon Ball Super Series epilogue Kai episodes 166-167 Dragon Ball GT - Watch Dragon Ball GT episodes 1-64 (optional, following ten year timejump) FILLER - Watch Dragon Ball GT Movie: A Hero's Legacy, GT's epilogue End of Dragon Ball franchise timeline What a complicated series to watch...oh my
My Ranking from best to worst 1. DB Kai (gets to the point, more accurate to the manga) 2. DBZ (amazing background music and shaped a whole generation) 3. DB (fun story and characters) 4. DBGT (SSJ4 and Dan Dan Kokoro, need I say more?) 5. DBS (cheap palette swaps, basically the Goku and Vegeta show) 6. Super DB Heroes (my 4 year old cousin can write a better plot) 7. DB Evolution (you already know why)
If you're watching the English dubbed version I highly recommend you watch Kai instead of Z. Because Z changes the voice lines a lot and Kai is more accurate to the source material. Plus it has way better voice acting.
There's a lot I missed and I grew up with db/dbz mainly the movies. I seen every episode already. But damn, I need to watch everything in chronological order.
i never watched dragonball because it was never available to me in my country but once i got into anime i heard that dragonball, naruto, hxh, bleach etc. were really good so once i heard about super being a thing I watched kai, then continued into super and then the original dragonball. To be honest i’m real glad i decided to watch it and an now able to get references and be able to play games such as dokkan battle while knowing what the characters are and being able to enjoy these moments more
@@justajobro1266 pretty good im at episode 50 (classic) and i love it watched dragonball as a kid and just remembered that theyre were fights but the story is amazing to
I have been watching Dragon Ball for 25 years since I was a kid. So it doesn't matter what series you go through. If you going to plan on watching the original Dragon Ball where it all started, then go to Dragon Ball Z or Dragon Ball Z Kai, then go to either Dragon Ball Super or Dragon Ball GT to finish watching the show. That's your choice. But for me, it's been a fun ride watching Dragon Ball, including other anime titles such as Pokémon, Digimon, Sailor Moon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and so many others that I had watched so far. But for Dragon Ball, it's a amazing experience to watch Son Goku from a child to a man and become all odds against him. Also Goku got adopted by Grandpa Gohan, met friends along the way, having his own family, wanted to fight against stronger opponents, and became the strongest Saiyan in Dragon Ball history. That's what makes Dragon Ball so fun to watch to enjoy the journey and action that Goku and his companions had over the years.
Well if you want a canon order than 1. The manga timeline includes the original manga, BoG, and RoF 2. The original anime timeline would be OG DB, DBZ, DBZ M1, DBZ M5, DBZ M13, GT, Hero’s Legacy, along with both the Trunks and Bardock specials 3. The Super timeline which includes Kai (as Super has statements, lore, flashbacks, and voice actors from Kai), Super, and DBS Broly
As a kid I started with Z with some of the original db mixed in but Z was all the hype. However, I never got to watch all the episodes in order but what I could watch, I loved. Now I finally got to see them all in sequence (aside from the movies). I watched Dragon Ball, DBZ, and Super. I'm about to start GT even though everyone tells me not to. Crazy to think everyone in elementary school used to draw the characters from the show as well as try to go super saiyan on the playground lol. That was 20-25 years ago and to see the love this franchise still receives is truly amazing! Long live Dragon Ball!
Bro i have completed Dragon Ball Season 1, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, Dragon Ball super . Now I want to watch the movies so which movie should I begain with ?
Watch dragon ball before dragon ball z, when you start z it’s a bit confusing since some characters already know each other because they met in dragon ball
I started my cousin on Kai and he would watch every now and then but we flew through the Cell saga in two days when I stayed over and started the Great Saiyaman stuff and since I left he’s halfway thru final chapters and is super hyped to watch super. Imo if you’ve never watched the shows I’d order 1. Kai (Faster, more accurate, cleaner animation) 2. Super (sequel) 3. DragonBall (Classic) 4. GT? (Done the canon stuff sooo?) 5. Z? (You’ve “seen it all” [been spared really] so now just see it....how 90s kids saw it ig still classic just has some bumps compared to Kai)
Fine video but some constructive criticism. I would personally say to watch the movies in the place where they can most likely appear in the timeline and not when they came out. This is less confusing for the watcher and is more digestible. I understand some movies are very hard to place but it's better then just abruptly stopping the show to watch a movie that doesn't make sense. Watching Dead Zone before DBZ or watching Bojack Unbound after the Cell Saga would make much more sense. Dead Zone, Bojack Unbound, and Wrath of the Dragon you can even watch in a canon only viewing for how little they effect the story and how well they fit into the timeline. Bardock the Father of Goku and History of Trunks aren't movie but specials but that is just me nitpicking. Tho this means to me anyway they are required for any viewing. Skipping GT is also a disservice. I understand people don't like it but it was still made with passion that is sadly missing from the modern material even if not everything was executed well. Toriyama hating GT is also quite a false statement. In the Daizenchuu's before GT's airing Toriyama expressed excitement for GT going as far to write a short comic page promoting it. As recent as the 2005 GT Box Sets Toriyama stated and I quote: "Dragonball GT is a grand side-story of the original Dragonball, and it'll make me happy for us to watch and enjoy it together." Toriyama has also expressed his praise to the Toei staff for continuing his work. He doesn't even hate Kid Goku in GT surprisingly. Here is a link for a video that goes more in depth: ruclips.net/video/OQdBkNqVoUU/видео.html
@@Yusuq_MadeekI'm sorry, but that is just straight up disrespectful. Not only did you lie about Akira's views on GT, despite this quote in the Dragon Ball GT DVD Box, "Dragon Ball GT is a grand side-story of the original Dragon Ball, and it’ll make me happy for us to watch and enjoy it together." However, one thing that really ticked me off was how you staple "Rip legend Akira Toriyama" at the end of your comment to strengthen that claim. You don't have to like GT, we all have different opinions. However, calling GT an abomination, lying about what Toriyama said about it, AND saying "rip" to appeal to people's emotions just straight up disgusts me. Akira would've wanted his fanbase to come together, not over what's canon and what's not canon. I can't control whether or not you do this again, but next time atleast think about it before using someone's death as a weapon.
I feel like even though GT came out first, it should be watched after Super as it takes place at a later time, though it's difficult as Super is currently on going, but I haven't ran out of hope that Super will somehow tie into GT in the end, even if they have to tell the story of GT a bit differently to make it work... Though admittedly, that could just be wishful thinking on my part, as someone who loved GT, I'd hate for it to be just thrown away the way it has been
@@-RedHood- I feel like it would, but not directly, like they'll tak elements from GT and clean it up, kinda like what they did with almost every movie character; I feel like their overall goal is to tie everything together into a single canon.
@@_.chxrmz It could, but it wouldn't be the exact same, like I mentioned before characters like Broly, Bardock, Gogeta, they were all considered separate timelines too as the movies couldn't make sense in the timeslots of the series, there's a slim, very slim chance that we'll get elements of GT in Super

Dragon Ball canon (正史, seishi; Literally meaning "official history")[1] was first officially defined during the Tokyo Skytree + Viz North America Tour in an exhibit called the History of Dragon Ball. It was later reaffirmed in December 2018 in Weekly Shōnen Jump. As of the start of this tour on November 1 , 2018 , the official canon of Dragon Ball includes Akira Toriyama's original Dragon Ball manga (which composes both Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z in the West) and the Dragon Ball Super manga, which has its story written by Toriyama and artwork drawn by Toyotarō.[2] Additionally, despite not being adapted by the Dragon Ball Super manga as Dragon Ball Z: God and God was, Toriyama has confirmed that the events of Dragon Ball Z: Revival of "F" are a canonical continuation of his manga, as well.[3] He also considers the Jaco the Galactic Patrolman manga and its extra chapter, Dragon Ball Minus, to be connected to his series.[4] Most recently, Toriyama added Broly and Gogeta into the Dragon Ball canon with Dragon Ball Super: Broly.[1]
My dragon ball experince Started by watching super broly a year ago Started playing through kakarot last november Watched dragon ball super a month ago Watched dragon ball super: super hero 3 days ago.
For anyone wondering, the original Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z anime are adaptations of the original Dragon Ball Manga and Dragon Ball GT is an extension to the original Dragon Ball anime story. The original Dragon Ball *manga* story ends with DBZ while the original Dragon Ball *anime* story officially ends with GT. The modern Dragon Ball story of Dragon Ball Super is based on the main plot points of the original Dragon Ball manga story, but maybe you can watch Dragon Ball Z Kai. Original Anime Timeline: DB --> DBZ --> DBGT (The two DBZ TV Specials & one DBGT TV Special) Modern Anime Timeline: DBS, DBS: Broly, and DBS: Super Hero (You can watch Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z Kai before those if you want)
Thank you, I've seen all the main series 4 times now but there were a lot of movies and specials on here that I had no idea existed. Goku's Traffic Safety and Fire Brigade were really fun little PSAs that I would have never known existed without this video
If one watches Z, do you need to watch Kai and vice-versa? Just getting into the series and halfway through Dragon Ball, so trying to figure out what to watch next! Thanks for the awesome vid as well!
No you can just pick one. They are essentially the same story, but Kai has a lot of the filler stuff removed. It also has different music (not as good in my opinion) But all depends on what sort of experience you are after personally 😊
Hold on, if we're talking viewing experience, shouldn't GT come last? GT is the end game which concluded Goku's story and takes place AFTER DBZ. All of Super technically takes place DURING DBZ, within the 10 year time gap. So the order should go - Dragon Ball - Dragon Ball Z or Kai (up until the time gap) - Dragon Ball Super - Dragon Ball Z or Kai (time gap episodes) - Dragon Ball GT
@@exoticKami No it doesn't. DBS takes place after the defeat of Kid Buu, but before the tournament where Goku fights Uub. That 10 year time skip at the end of Z, everything in Super so far including the Manga's Moro and Granohla saga's has all occurred within that time frame.
@@justinlynch3 What you have said here is exactly what I was trying to say in my previous comment, I forgot Goku Vs. Uub still happens at the end of Z.
Toriyama had said GT is a nice side story. You should absolutely watch it. My order of watching is this Dragon Ball > Z > GT. Second option Dragon Ball> Kai > Super The ultimate option Dragon Ball > Z/Kai (but the last few episodes) > Super > Super Broly > Z/Kai (The last episode) > GT But I also watch the movies 1- 4 and Z 1 - 13 at any time as their own canon.
DB kai is also a censored version. You won't see blood when someone looses their limbs, instead they replace it with black ink or a spot and other scenes are just cut off. Doing this made it lose it's impact in those moments, specially in a show where people fight to their death. Also dragon ball is better known for their fights and not the dialogs so maybe Kai can be good because it's more polished. it's not as bad as what they did to Beserk in 2016 but personally Kai it's not the superior version. The pace of Kai is subjective, I remember watching DBZ for the first time on TV and the freezer saga took forever and that make it better since not knowing what was about to happen to the main protagonist, friends and planet was very suspenseful. I was in the edge of my seat until the very last minute in every episode and I got to see epic fights and moments. What happened in real life was that the show caught up with the manga and they had to extend it as much as they could until they finished drawing the next one and that's what Akira Toriyama is good at, adding additional scenes that aren't in the manga so it's worth the watch even if you read it before there's something extra. Then again we can all watch dragon ball Z or Kai online we don't have to watch it on TV and wait, and waiting had that effect of wanting to watch the next episode, so watching it online one episode after another can be too much and a lot of people don't have the patience and just want to see if there's a plot twist or if they defeat the bad guy or not. Dragon Ball Z is like journey anyone new to the series must know that and they should watch it in their own pace even if it takes months to finish it you shouldn't rush it in the first place.
I don’t see what the problem with filler is of course an anime should have filler… it’s comparing a tv show to pictures with word bubbles😂 I think kai fans just have shorter attention spans. Not a dis just an observation.
It still has blood though, just less of it. The scenes with Frieza getting cut in half or Babadi's head getting punched off are still plenty bloody. Unless you watch the Nicktoons version, they truly censored the crap out of it
@@UboaSan no worries, it's a pretty common misconception. Although I'm curious which version you watched cause when I saw it on Toonami way back when they definitely censored some parts, such as Dr.Gero punching a hole in Yamcha's chest, or Majin Buu punching Babadi's head off. Granted the censoring for Kai was infinitely worse, the uncensored version is still worth watching imo
Not gonna lie, i grew up with the manga and not the TV show. It wasn't on TV in my area so I never got the chance to watch it. So I am 100% on board with DBZ instead of Kai. I want that extra content XD. I already know the source material, so i'm down to watch goku learn to drive and baby trunks pulling futur trunks hair anyday XD
If I were to suggest a way to view the anime I'd say watch: DB either the Japanese way (right before Z as intended) Or the Toonami way (Watch Z first and watch DB later as a prequel) Watch DB up to a point then Sleeping Princess Watch DBKai with the one driving filler episode and the Otherworld Tournament and Gohan at school arcs from the og anime plus Bardock and Trunks. Watch GT (and If you don't at least watch Hero's Legacy). Watch Yo Son Goku Watch the Super movies Watch Super starting from when the movie adaptations end Watch Super: Broly Read the post Broly Super manga arcs (which you also need to be caught up).
I would say to get thru everything the fastest, skip dragon ball, watch dragon ball kai, watch battle of gods and resurrection f and then watch the rest of super after that

I just have to say I'm 2 and a half minutes in and I'm disappointed you said that Dragonball is skipable it litteraly sets up everything for the first episode of z and the whole android saga Edit: what's worse is that 40 seconds later you said to watch gt before super even if gt was cannon it takes place after the events of the peaceful word/end of z saga which is after super so you're list is flawed in too many ways if you want an actual list of how to watch dragon ball here it is 1 Dragon Ball (it's very important to the story of z and as I said earlier sets up for the first episode and the whole android saga) 2 dbz or kai (take your pic just don't watch the tournament after buu is killed for now) 3 super (watch it and enjoy the brolly movie takes place a few months after the T.O.P. saga) 4 finish dbz last saga (as there is no anime for the most recent sagas in super just move on for now) 5 gt (if you want to it has 1 good saga in my opinion but each to their own)

Take it from me: If you plan on getting invested in the franchise, start with Dragon Ball. If you just wanna see what the hype is about, do it the way I did.
The fact you mentioned Kai, as a substitute for Dragonball Z, completely discredits this list. 💯

Trunks episodes with future Gohan and Trunks history ARE in Kai.
bruce faulconer is so cringe and takes away from the spirit of the series

2. DBZ (amazing background music and shaped a whole generation)
3. DB (fun story and characters)
4. DBGT (SSJ4 and Dan Dan Kokoro, need I say more?)

Well if you want a canon order than
1. The manga timeline includes the original manga, BoG, and RoF
2. The original anime timeline would be OG DB, DBZ, DBZ M1, DBZ M5, DBZ M13, GT, Hero’s Legacy, along with both the Trunks and Bardock specials

5. Z? (You’ve “seen it all” [been spared really] so now just see it....how 90s kids saw it ig still classic just has some bumps compared to Kai)
why would u skip dragon ball i do not understand ur missing out on the best part of the series
GT is one of my all-time favorites
Here is a link for a video that goes more in depth:
ruclips.net/video/OQdBkNqVoUU/видео.html
GT is after end of Z, and Super is before end of Z, so if you wanna connect the two together, watch Super before End of Z, and then GT after
@@Yusuq_MadeekI'm sorry, but that is just straight up disrespectful.
Thanks so much this was exactly what i was looking for

I feel like even though GT came out first, it should be watched after Super as it takes place at a later time, though it's difficult as Super is currently on going, but I haven't ran out of hope that Super will somehow tie into GT in the end, even if they have to tell the story of GT a bit differently to make it work... Though admittedly, that could just be wishful thinking on my part, as someone who loved GT, I'd hate for it to be just thrown away the way it has been
Well they're separate timelines but I'd be very surprised if DBS tied into GT.
@@-RedHood-
I feel like it would, but not directly, like they'll tak elements from GT and clean it up, kinda like what they did with almost every movie character; I feel like their overall goal is to tie everything together into a single canon.

@@_.chxrmz
It could, but it wouldn't be the exact same, like I mentioned before characters like Broly, Bardock, Gogeta, they were all considered separate timelines too as the movies couldn't make sense in the timeslots of the series, there's a slim, very slim chance that we'll get elements of GT in Super

As of the start of this tour on
November 1
,
2018
, the official canon of Dragon Ball includes Akira Toriyama's original Dragon Ball manga (which composes both Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z in the West) and the Dragon Ball Super manga, which has its story written by Toriyama and artwork drawn by Toyotarō.[2]
Additionally, despite not being adapted by the Dragon Ball Super manga as Dragon Ball Z: God and God was, Toriyama has confirmed that the events of Dragon Ball Z: Revival of "F" are a canonical continuation of his manga, as well.[3] He also considers the Jaco the Galactic Patrolman manga and its extra chapter, Dragon Ball Minus, to be connected to his series.[4] Most recently, Toriyama added Broly and Gogeta into the Dragon Ball canon with Dragon Ball Super: Broly.[1]
Thank you so much !!! I really needed this

Original Anime Timeline: DB --> DBZ --> DBGT (The two DBZ TV Specials & one DBGT TV Special)
Modern Anime Timeline: DBS, DBS: Broly, and DBS: Super Hero (You can watch Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z Kai before those if you want)
Thank you for the insane amount of effort that went into this.
Even if super is still on going, GT would make sense to be last due to where it is on the timeline
Thank you, I've seen all the main series 4 times now but there were a lot of movies and specials on here that I had no idea existed. Goku's Traffic Safety and Fire Brigade were really fun little PSAs that I would have never known existed without this video

GT is the end game which concluded Goku's story and takes place AFTER DBZ. All of Super technically takes place DURING DBZ, within the 10 year time gap.
So the order should go
- Dragon Ball
- Dragon Ball Z or Kai (up until the time gap)
- Dragon Ball Super
- Dragon Ball Z or Kai (time gap episodes)
- Dragon Ball GT

DBS take place after the Z series, and before GT
@@exoticKami No it doesn't. DBS takes place after the defeat of Kid Buu, but before the tournament where Goku fights Uub.
That 10 year time skip at the end of Z, everything in Super so far including the Manga's Moro and Granohla saga's has all occurred within that time frame.

I’d watch dragon ball, dragon ball z, then gt I like how original those series’s were
DB kai is also a censored version.
Unless you watch the Nicktoons version, they truly censored the crap out of it
No, it is not. KAI WAS censored for TV. Look for the same episodes online you will see blood.
@@Entei9000 Oh that's why, sorry I didn't know. They didn't censor the original DBZ on TV when I watched it, but that was a long time ago.

3 super (watch it and enjoy the brolly movie takes place a few months after the T.O.P. saga)
4 finish dbz last saga (as there is no anime for the most recent sagas in super just move on for now)
5 gt (if you want to it has 1 good saga in my opinion but each to their own)
“That offended me very much and hurt my feelings.”
You earned yourself a sub, I'm pretty sure your not missing anything here
