that is a great video, i am learning the dispatcher business, and what i heard for independent dispatch will need to pay if broker not pay for load or if factor not get the pay from broker for the load, not sure if it is true or that consider trucking company's loss ?

Hi Atif. There are no special permits required. I advise everyone to register an LLC with their state but that's about it.
I heard you mention something about insurance when booking a load on one of your "day in a life of a dispatcher" videos. can you speak more on that?

Every carrier has to have 1000000 liability and 100000 cargo minimum. If they are going to pull other carriers trailers they also need interchange insurance
Nice channel! What about insurance cost? Im paying $950 monthly just for that. If you don’t have truck insurance you cannot have an active carrier MC.
There is no insurance involved if you are a dispatching service

@@UnknownBird Because he operates both as a CARRIER and a DISPATCHER. As a new DISPATCHER the challenge is finding a CARRIER (Owner Operators). If you are a CARRIER then you will need a DISPATCHER unless you hire someone to do the DRIVING or you hire someone to do the DISPATCHING. There are a lot of variables.

You don't necessarily "need" an LLC. however it is highly advised that you get one. Brokers don't ask for that kind of stuff. :)

To access the DAT load board, you don't need an MC number, but you do need to prove to them that you are a legit dispatcher with a company registered in the US.

You need to explain how can they be independent dispatcher because you need MC number in order to book loads on DAT. Independents dispatch means to work under someone's MC
You don't need an MC number to book loads on DAT. Independent dispatcher means they do not work under someone's MC. I have a lot of videos that talk about this. Thanks for watching.
@@NeverStopTRK When you book a load they are asking for MC number. Why would anyone book a load without MC number. It would be double brokerage. How would I get paid form the customer if I have no MC or DOT come on I have been in trucking for over 20 years

Hi, there is no special tax for dispatchers only. Each state has different rates and federal tax is also tricky. 15 to 20% is common for federal tax. self employment. But that's after all your expenses.
