I love the way you giggle! That long window in the stabiliser has given me ideas for the sashing of beautiful oriental blocks I want to stitch together as a wall hanging. Not only will it save me re-hooping each time but it will also use up all those pieces of stabiliser I have in a folder ready to be joined to make larger pieces. Its a win, win situation! Thank you. I love those little hats on that card, so sweet!

I just made my own wash away stabilizer, search on youtube diy bio plastic, its a gelatin and glycerin recipe and its easy, worked perfectly, rinsed out in less than 30 seconds, i also use paper towel as a stabilizer i separate it down to 1 or 2 ply then throw it in the wash afterwards, the cheaper the towel the easier it is to wash off ive noticed, i hope everyone can save some money using these tricks, stabilizing materials are too expensive and too much waste, hope this will help someone xx Nadine

Great trick! But if You wanted to fuse wash away stabilizer, what glue, or what way to do it then? Because it's a different kind of stabilizer all together (mesh type, not 'plastic' type) and it HAS to wash out, for making free standing lace. I ave just started, but the scraps sure are piling up already, and I DON'T want to toss it. I really hate tossing things.
