I'd just like to thank you for the information you shared, I'm new to machine embroidery and found what u said really helpful look forward to seeing some more videos that you have done 👍👌
Thank you so much for the tip about using Terial Magic for puckers after stitching! I was about to remake a block until I watched your video, but I don't need to remake it now. The puckers are gone!
Instead of a wool mat, I always iron embroidery face down on a bath towel. The loops or the plush gives enough cushion so as not to crush the embroidery. Also most towels are 100% cotton and can take the heat of an iron. ❤🌅🌵😷
Thank you for showing us how to prevent puckering. Does rhe Terial Magic gum up your needle? For a mug rug, can I use the Terial magic on the fabric and float it on a tear away stabilizer? Since I I don't have the fusable stabilizer. Could you tell me what pellon stabilizer you use, what number? Thank you. I am a newbie so this is all new to me. Thanks for your video. It has been a great help.
I haven't even bought an embroidery machine yet, but plan to. To summarize, I put terial magic and woven fusible stabilizer on the background piece, and heat and bond on the back of the applique? Then a tear a way stabilizer in the hoop? And unfortunately my budget will probably not allow me to buy from a dealer, so I'll be learning on my own. Thanks.
I appreciate this video. Thanks. Question: you mention ironing the applique after trimming but before the satin stitch out. How do you iron it while it's still hooped?
I’m beyond myself. I cannot stop puckering, I use terminal magic, wool mat, appropriate stabiliser and I don’t hoop mega tight. I don’t know what to fo any more
Do I need to use a stabelizer if I'm working on the "Sewing version"? I imagine I'll be hand embroidering using a satin stitch --- should I put a stabilizer behind my background fabric?
You sprayed directly onto the fabric on the wool pressing mat....I'd be afraid the liquid would seep into the mat. Also, do you not use a pressing cloth to protect the iron? I'd love to do it your way, but am afraid to. Is this safe for iron plate?
Ok, I am currently working on my Broomhilda quilt right now and just sick about it! I have completed about 6 of the embroidered squares, and not one of them have stitches out nicely without puckers everywhere!!! I have tried spraying the fabric, then stabilizing it. I have tried about 4 different stabilizers now...tear away, fusible, cut away, etc., and they all still pucker. I'm just at my wit's end.....
I don't understand how you can iron the appliqué while it is still in the hoop. If you remove it from the hoop you will never get it back in to the exact same place. Thanks!
I iron projects while they are still in the hoop all the time. I guess it depends on the size of the hoop you're using. I have a mini iron for smaller projects...
Am I understanding this correct? The Terial Magic is used on the background and all applique pieces. Is the Shape Flex and the heat and Bond used on the background and all the applique pieces? I wasn't sure about the order.
The shape flex. is on the back of the background piece and the heat and bond is for the back of your appliqué piece. After you have done the tack down stitch of the appliqué and trim it out you then will iron the appliqué piece down. It really keeps things in place.
Ironing on after it's stitched down is brilliant! Thank you so much for sharing your techniques.

I am always striving to improve my embroidery. Great tips. Thank you.
thank you for so much helpful information. I really like Kimberbell designs.
How do you iron it in the hoop? Does the terial magic wash away and the puckers come back?

Love that iron. Can you share link? Thanks
Great video, great tips. Thank you. Not sure why people had sound issues...I heard you loud and clear!
I had to put the sound on my computer as high as it would go in order to hear Lauri.
I appreciate this video. Thanks. Question: you mention ironing the applique after trimming but before the satin stitch out. How do you iron it while it's still hooped?
You need the little tiny mini iron.
I’m beyond myself. I cannot stop puckering, I use terminal magic, wool mat, appropriate stabiliser and I don’t hoop mega tight. I don’t know what to fo any more
I really needed this video. Thank you and much success to you.
❤ is this concept same for satin like material?
I have already completed my project...Can I use Terrial Magic on the Front of my project to fix puckering
The terial magic website says it’s not starch. Rather, it’s a different organic compound.
Can you please provide link to the heat and bond paper demonstrated in this video. Thank you
Pellon Shapeflex or SF101 iron on fabric after using Terial Magic.

I wonder too!
I live in Queensland Australia where can I purchase Terminal Magic Please?
Thank you for this video- it really helped me!😃
Could you list these products to your video? That would be very helpful. Thank you for the video 😊
Terial Magic Fabric Spray
fusible woven interfacing
Very interesting and great tips. Thanks.

Does it go limp after it is washed?
Thank you so much, this has helped me so much!
We are SEW glad it helped you. Happy stitching! :)
What is Terri magic and where can I purchase it?
I have tried every combination and still get puckers. The only think I have not tried is pressing on a wool mat.
When you float as opposed to hooping, do you adjust or change the tension?
Can you use terial magic on satin fabric. Thank you
Thanks so much for this very helpful video.
If I am doing a tea towel with machine applique what stabilizer would you recommend that I use? Thank you!
Great video! Thank you!
what stabilizers would you use to do an applique' in a "quilt as you go" block quilt for a baby
I get puckering when using batting for applique designs. How do I prevent this?
I used a medium tear away and it sill puckered.
I love it
Is the Terial Magic Fabric Spray ok to use on projects that will be worn by people and animals?
it is starch. It is fine and it will be washed out.
which process is better
Will this work on silk taffeta? Thanks
thank you so much because puckering ruins our embroidery .
Where do you get the spray starch
Very thorough. Thanks!
Great tips
Is the shopping list on the CD?
Thank you
Do you dilute the terminal magic
There is a youtube on Terial magic

I have a very small iron for this.
I iron projects while they are still in the hoop all the time. I guess it depends on the size of the hoop you're using. I have a mini iron for smaller projects...
I also use the cricut mini press. Perfect size for my 4x4 and 5x7 hoops
camera is also herkie jerky.
That’s not the way the manufacturer of Terial magic uses it -hmmmmm. They dunk it and leave to drip dry and then iron…it is REALLY STIFF then
I use Faultless this way, spraying and drying overnight then ironing!
Did you really just spray that in a wool mat😬
do you reverse the grain

There is an echo in your video.
camera has too much movement
7
Camera is all over the place ,and the audio echos
Terrible video, STAY STILL, making me nauseous!
That mic that Lauri is wearing is obviously not working. You should re-shoot this video - sound is terrible.
Kimberbell should be big enough to have appropriate filming space, microphone and a tripod. This is a horrible video
Be nice people!!!
If you iron in the hoop, how do I protect my machine.?
