My first embroidery machine will be in this week and I have saved your video with other for help in doing my first few small projects. Thanks for all the helpful information. : ? )
Thanks for the template idea. I plan on using dollar store placemats as I have three hoops and without guides. Thanks again for the effort and quality of your video.
So happy to have found this video! Love the template tip - I will use that in multiple applications for hooping different projects. Wonderful video. Thank you!
Hi, I have a query about the folding part of your video - I understand why you fold in half for first fold, but ypu mentioned a 5 inch fold for 2nd fold - is it always 5" fold? I 'm working on a hand towel, where I want the design to be placed 2" from the bottom. Its a long skinny design, do I go up 2" for my 2nd fold in this case, please? I figured I could just draw the cross hairs on my stabiliser, by using the centre hole and the other 4 holes which are North, South, East and West from the centre, and then join the dots - would this also work? Thanks in advance, Shirl,(otherwise known as the mad Irsihwoman!😂🤣😂)
Does anyone have a video on how the backside of the towel should look. I've seen both with thread tails and without. Someone told me if you trim the thread tails then your embroidery comes undone in the wash. What's a good way to secure the back of the towel?
I would say 95% of the time I float all of my embroidery I rarely hoop it because I don't like the hoop lines, and I don't use a grid I use my precise positioning And the crosshair is on my hoop and I mark a cross on the stabilizer and the way I go
Thank you so much I've learned so much from you in just one video! Especially talking about all the different stabilizers! Thank you! Thank you!
This video has helped me 1 million times!
Thank you for these helpful tips. You provided a lot of detailed information which has really helped me learn a lot.

I have a Janome Mb7. Why do you turn your hoop for the template, and why is the box on the left? I think I am doing it upside down or something!

What type of iron are you using and does it automatically shut off.
Does it matter the size of the tea towel?
What if your hoop is oval how do you make it? Do you trace in an oval or keep it square
Thank you
Do you away measure 5" from the bottom?
