Irefound your channel after subscribing and then RUclips never giving me notifications or showing you in my feed. I absolutely love Yumi!! It was my fav of the 4, and I loved Tress quite a bit. I do disagree that things were sudden between them. I felt it was gradual when I was reading! I also really hope that Brandon writes more books in this style (he called it a specific style about emotions or something) as I found it beautiful and compelling. Congrats to you both!
Congratulations to you both! I loved this book. Excellent lore and world building, great story, and I think the romance was handled really well. Storms, what a fun book!
Congratulations 🎉 I also have a confession to make. I haven't read Yumi and the Nightmare Painter yet, instead I have it sitting on my shelf, waiting for me to knock out one or two more books on my TBR list, but I will be getting to it soon.
Im curious what you mean by 'they hate each other.' Not sure id go that far. Annoyance or frustration are, I think, more apt. ...Not friendly till kilahito... For yumi, nikaro is the first real companion divorced from her yoki hijo status. For painter; she is annoying in her stern instructor mode but mostly he is fascinated by her view of the world. Its a perspective born of her head attendant's orthodox philosophy, and it constantly surprises him. Anyway, more on your impression?
OMG Why have I only discovered this channel now??? This is exactly what ever needed since I dabbled into Sanderson's community 5 months ago. Reviews + Essays about Sanderson's world is my favorite cup of tea Anyways awesome review. And a huge congratulations to both of you! Yeah I agree with most of the points you've made, but I'm unsure about the part where you stated "They hated each other until the end", I perceived it as Annoyance or some Frustration by both of them having (esp Yumi) unreal expectations of themselves. But I wouldn't call it downright hatred. It makes sense if you think from their perspectives though Also how did you guys like the artwork for this book? Aliya Chen is amazing!! And I loved the Anime-esque art style for this book (Although they don't look like anime characters in the art, they are more akin to Korean than Japanese characters) Well today's Sunday and I have nothing to do today, guess I'll binge the rest of your channel for the day!
Thank you so much! Hope you enjoy the rest of the channel. We loved the artwork! Aliya Chen did a really good job - I personally like this art better than any of the other 3 secret projects.

Glad this video finally made it up so I can have my books back from the set 🤣
You'd better believe I'm keeping Yumi up there 😈
But I suppose I'll let you have "A Court of Mist and Fury" and "Sizzle Reel" back
Uuuuuuuuuuugh I hate romantacy novels but hell it's Sanderson so I guess I'll read it at some point.
