    I love how casual are the cosmere connections here, I think this is a better take at it at least for this point of the cosmere than The Lost Metal

      I agree. This feels like a much smoother integration of the Cosmere into a story than TLM.

    Hey, I randomly came across your channel and I just wanted to say that you are doing an amazing job. Great presented lore, with good use of music and visuals (and cats!)
    I'm waiting for some friends to become up to date with the cosmere and afterwards I'm sharing de sh*t out of your channel with them. It blows my mind you don't have tens of thousands of views per video.
    Journey before destination, radiant!

    I agree, one of my favorite Cosmere books. Especially the Hoid Point of View made the story.

    I thought dragonsteel are basically the dragons' bones. Like, they other have metallic bones 9r their bones are coated in some sort of metal

    We actually have seen Midnight Essence before. They were the things that attacked Dalinar in one of his visions in WoK.

    • @LoreoftheWorlds
      @LoreoftheWorlds  Год назад +4

      I'm not 100% convinced that they are the same thing, it could possibly be similar implementations of different forms of investiture. That being said, Sja-anat's midnight essence and the spores are remarkably similar. I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if you're correct.
      Waiting on a WOB to confirm or deny this 😁

      @@LoreoftheWorlds We know they're not entirely the same. Lumar's Aethers are being really funky. The Unmade MEs we see are probably how they normally are.

      @@LoreoftheWorlds it could be that Re-Shepir, the midnight mother is a aetherbound like prasnava to the midnight essence primal aether, who was unmade by odium, feeding the aether directly with investiture from odium himself.

    The one thing that stopped me from loving this book was Hoid. Brandon's comedic scenes are generally fairly weak, with the good ones relying more on the fact that I like the cast and appreciate them experiencing goofy situations more than I do the actual jokes themselves. So, when there's a narrator just telling jokes, he can't rely on that, and the humor has to stand on its own...I can tolerate only so many paragraph long Marvel quips

      @LoreoftheWorlds  Год назад

      Yeah, I'd agree with this to an extent. Tress overdid those sorts of things, and Brandon is generally pretty meh at comedy
      I think SP3 did a better job balancing the humor
