The most intriguing plot point yet to be resolved, at least to me, is how the relationship of the Dwarfs and Varden are going to develop if Nasuada keeps Murtagh. The Dwarfs have a just cause. Murtagh doesn’t have a good excuse. And Nasuada needs to maintain good relationships with the Dwarfs and they would absolutely go to war over this. It’s the human hearth at conflict with it self. The best plot point, that sadly didn’t get enough attention in this book. And I not sure it will have on the next
I didnt read any retconing of galbarorix. I found that it explained how his anger for the riders began, and how he was twisted to kill all the dragons. Even Rachel says the unpured dragons needed to be eradicated.
So glad that you said Murtagh is making dumb decisions. On my first readthrough, I couldn’t help but think “Murtagh you’re supposed to be smarter than this!”
Agree love the the second part and and you need dark parts and Thorn would never would have gotten over his fears if they left. In whole both parts of the this book for were good plot lore and Characters This book was 10 out of 10 two thumbs up just like all of of the Eragon books!!!!
Big problem with being a book fan. Even when there are pronunciation guides, I just read names the way I want. This makes me extremely angry when I hear you 'mispronounce' something. Also, Murtagh on the cover looks nothing like how I imagined him. Curse you and the author for not being inside of my head!

Its funny hearing paolini himself and you pronounce it Muhr-Tag, its lways been Mur-tah in my brain, probably my scottish
The books have a pronunciation key in the back for a lot of the names. According to them, the G is pronounced.

I’m of the opposite opinion as far as the first and second half of the book go, I much preferred the darker more mysterious second half.
What Galbatorix retcon are you referring to? Just him meeting the dreamers
“The Murtagh”
Your voice is hot. 10/10.
