A little update on the individual releases and the Mega Mick’s: In February my house was broken into and most of my gear stolen. That includes my PC, all my audio recording & mixing equipment, my studio monitors and everything I use to make and mix music. It’s been pretty tough and it set me back a long way on both personal projects and Mick’s Tape work. I’m happy to say though that months later, I have finally recuperated my stolen gear and only need to make a few more purchases. As such, I can happily state that the individual mastered tracks for the Mick’s Tape will be available for download this Sunday 28th May. The Mega Mick’s will follow in the next couple months, as unfortunately I am going to have to restart all of my work in remastering the Chad tracks. Thanks for everyone’s patience, love and I’ll see you soon 🙏
Actually a crime. When going through the OST the differences between Mick’s work and Chad’s is night and day. It makes no sense to me why they added all that extra filler.

The Unofficial Sequel is in the works. "The Mega Micks" will contain over double the amount of music, including fully remastered and reworked tracks. Chad has left with me with quite the mess, so its going to take a bit of time. hopefully I'll be able to bring you guys a version of the full OST that you deserve. i hope you can somehow incorporate the gladiator mix from one of doom eternal's trailers, which I always felt was the final mix that mick intended it to be with the "kar en tuk, rip and tear" chants. it goes by "heaven's wrath" on youtube.
I'd love to have these separated into tracks, i.e. via a .cue file or per-file. First time properly hearing the ost, I have previously avoided it due to the scandal, but now enough is clear for me.

For sure, I hope we get to hear it in use one day, Micks original intention was for it to be the end of the game, when the Slayer walks away from the Icon of Sin, Sandy City would have started playing. Hence its placement in the mix!

Mick is an amazing musician and composer. He deserves what he's owed, which includes legal rights to his own music (assuming those belong to bethesda currently, which' my understanding.) Also, you combined these tracks well. Good job, musically inclined corporeal entity.

Thanks man, im working on it. Mostly I'm just remastering the files presented to us in the soundtrack we got. wWise is a pain in the ass to crack and what you do get usually comes out in a heavily compressed format. But it would be really nice to have those original soundbites regardless

Hi! Glad you enjoyed it! The individual tracks for this will be available by the end of this week. The Mega Micks is taking longer than I had hoped, owing to issues mixing the butchered Chad tracks and decompiling heavily compressed wWise files. But I’ve completed the individual remasters of the tracks in this mix and I’m currently in the process of compiling them into lossless formats for best listening! I’ll post a pinned comment when they are available to download ❤️
I feel bad for both Mick and Chad, Mick was treated more unfairly but chad was very much unnaware of how Mick does his music so of course it didn't sound good. I thought something was off when I first heard the original mix by Chad and the tempo felt very off. But knowing what we know now, Chad was probably just as overworked and abuse as the rest of the team. Justice for everyone that isn't a higher up. That sounds clumsier but it's true.
I wonder if he chose to put his name on all the tracks. If it was his decision, then he purposefully took credit for Mick’s work, but it could easily be he was forced to or even it happened without him knowing
Bruh Mick Gordon is like the entire reason Doom is Doom as we see it. The music is half of the atmosphere of the game and for them to fuck it up like they have is an injustice itself. The only thing I can see Mick doing is playing "The Only Thing They Fear is You" while he files lawsuit after lawsuit, they'll call him "Sinister", pray the "Prayer of the Diminished" while being "The Betrayer" in "Command and Control" of the "Cultist Prayer" only for Mick Gordon to get a big "Welcome Home, Great Slayer" as he continues to "Rip and Tear" through every legal obstacle with the "Meathook", when he finally gets to "Sandy City" and ruins the "Icon of Sin" in the final show of "Eternal Doom" for all those who stand before him. Until it is Done.

No. The developers just dont mind people making jokes about it or making fan art/animations/doom wads with isabelle and etc. The meme's and both developers encouraging them actually helped boost sales for both titles so it was a win for everyone in the end.
When compiling the mix it’s very clear which tracks where mixed by Mick and which by Chad, simply based on the dynamic ranges and waveforms. Micks mix’s have a lot more range in the highs and lows, lots of special audio and clear sounds etc. Chads work is very compressed, very flat. Also, every track in this mix has been confirmed by Mick himself to be his own work, at one point or another :)
I was so disappointed with the music in the Ancient Gods DLC. It didn't make me feel to wanna rip and tear and keep moving ahead. But I did it anyway for the sake of the challenge. Really disappointed with how the soundtrack turned out in the game. :(
Gotta admit, playing Doom Eternal now, the music brings down the experience A LOT. Can't believe how they pushed the weak ass OST just because corporate said so.
I can't say I agree, I adore Eternal's soundtrack. Its only the official OST release that let me down personally. An OST and an In Game Soundtrack are two seperate things and I think the latter succeeded in its aims.
