- EDIT Wow I never knew there were still people who loved this music as much as I did! It really makes me happy to see that many people still sharing the same awesome feeling of the event more than 5 years back! Sadly, my post on the boards didn't get a lot of recognition by riot so we will probably never see the music appear back into the game, which is kinda sad. Lucky tho, you can put this music under any SR game and enjoy the hell out of it just like me :).
Also: wooxy, the program with which I got the GP announcer back, is now no longer supported by the LoL client, so we have to say good bye to GP in our games. Thanks GP, I'll never forget the countless times my allies were feeding the fishes.

* I Recommend you to use this music for the 'Summoner's Rift' map only, since other game modes often won't take that long. If you will still use this music on other maps, the division of early/mid/late game will be kinda screwed up for your game mode.
This is the official music used in the League of Legends Bilgewater event: Burning Tides as in-game music for the new ARAM Butcher's Bridge map and for the normal Summoner's Rift map. Music is made and owned by Riot Games.

Still to this day i think the best thing that happened in league was the Bilgewater event. The story they made for this expanding upon the champion backgrounds was absolutely amazing, then the whole mission progress and finally revealing gangplank only for him to be killed by MF, then brought back again as this cruel, murderous pirate.
So cool.
Makes me sad I missed it. I knew about League since 2011, never dipped into it until my brother in law made us all play as a family at Christmas in 2018. The lore so far is my favorite part, and the craftsmanship of the champion's abilities that match their personalities and the stories that are filling out Runeterra around them. Lux's comic and Sylas was my intro to a duality and how they're not really delving deep into the conflict but instead capitalizing on the conflict's existence, I enjoyed Spirit Blossom as a cheesy side story, and I'm rather disappointed in Sentinels because of how they treated the very lore and existing characters I've come to love. But still, I love this world and the endless possibilities and stories yet to be told, and the one off interactions that happen in game make you appreciate being a lore nerd. (That one time I was sup Swain to an adc Irelia in blind was amazing, ngl. Or playing Viego when the other team's Yuumi tells me she knows where Isolde is so I countered with a promise to return her master to her... fun stupid moments that make the toxicity almost worth it.)
These days the events just aren't as epic imo. They're fun, no doubt, but I think Bilgewater was top tier

Not how they focus on the shitty stuff only.....they remove most of the fun aspects of the game, force everyone to play SR ranked and when they get upset with their broken system ban people. My favourite mode was TT, played it all time, then riot removed it for some turn based crap mode. Remember the crystal scar map???? They build such a big lore with all their different regions but we have only 2 playable maps. Lazy ass devs.
When playing Gangplank updated with the music of this map and hitting mid-late game actually felt amazingly fun!!

Likewise. I just started playing the game a month ago and I've began to main Graves. And, of course, like anyone else would do once they main a character they would start being invested with the character and etcetera. Well that's how my story went. 😅
But anyways. It's such a shame that people that are new to the game missed out amazing content and events such as this. ;-;
The Theory Twins after reading up on this whole event, I easily regret the years before where I had thought League along with all Mobs were garbage despite having never played em. I only joined around the Pyke release/VS 2018 events and I just wished I had played the years before as to experience this kind of event.

The bilgewater map is finally back. Wished for it for such a long time, it is the best designed map ever and the music. Nostalgic when i think back to the time i was young and stupid. Sadly it only stays for a period of time, but all the champs, skins and designs around Bilgewater know this, you will always be in my heart, even if i die.

I wish riot will make more these theme songs about the regions because every time I read the LORE, I always listen to the theme songs, depends on what region I am reading. It always gives this vibe as if you are part of the stories of LOL.
