It was a pain trying to remove and install the bulbs without removing the headlights especially on the left side because of the fusebox. It did help slightly to just loosen the headlight screws to move the lights slightly forward, but still. I feel who ever invented the socket for these bulbs should get back to the drawing table because it's very hard to know how far in or out the bulb should be, and where you will get a connection with the tabs.
A change of bulbs should be possible without removing the whole headlight in my opinion. Something anyone should be able to do quickly at the side of the road.
It's an utter pain to get your hand positioned in a way you are able to get any twisting power, so I'd say it's a fail from who ever constructed this because you can easily damage a very expensive bulb for no reason at all.

Hello! To remove the projector assembly, do you need to separate plastic clear cover and casing?

Good morning ! thank you for these videos. I have a problem with my headlight since I changed my D3S bulb: it remains stuck on high beam, what could it be? I tried to take the bulb from the other headlight but it doesn't change anything... could it be a problem with the ballast? when I flash the headlight, I hear a "click" on the left headlight so it goes from position 1 to position 2 but on the other headlight I don't have a "click" and it remains stuck in position 2 (high beam)

It is nothing to do with the ballast or the bulb. At this headlight the ballast/bulb is completely independent from the other functions like AFS/Daytime running lights. Most probably there is a fault at your bi-xenon system (low-high beam shutter). The metal "curtain" inside the projector goes down, but not coming back to its original position, hence high beam not turning in low beam.

@@xenonland Thank you very much for your answer ! By any chance could it be possible that while changing the bulb a cable might have become unplugged? If, however, it is the “curtain”, is there a possibility of changing this part or should everything be changed in your opinion? Thank you very much, your videos are great!

@tetraspictures6599 it is possible that the wiring that powers the shutter might have been damaged in some way. Just follow the plug with two thin cables under the projector. If the shutter gets defective, a reflective headlight will be needed.
