I have a 2005 Mini Cooper S with the HID headlights. The passengers' side was out so I bought a new bulb and nothing, so I checked the ignitors (swapped them) and nothing, then I swapped the ballasts and it worked. When I went to put the good ballast on the drivers side again, it did not work! Now none of the lights work!

I few months ago on my 2011 GTI HID/xenon I got the AFS error and it stopped doing the dynamic lighting when cornering. No big deal. This week the right bulb wouldn’t turn on, I replaced it with a new one and it still doesn’t turn on. Could be the AFS module? The ballast? Both? What is your opinion, thank you!

Are you able to access the daytime running lights module without removing the bumper? I was hoping I could get to it from underneath by removing the wheel arch cover?

Hi Xenonland! Really nice video! I own a Passat GTE 2016 B8 and have trouble with my left headlight. After staring the car I get two warnings in the dashboard. 1. Please check headlight 2. Error, corner lights (AFS) The headlights are working though, only think is that the left headlight beam is higher that right. Hey if any water touches my igniter will it caused my bulb to not turn on? I’ve bought new head lights and new hid + H7 but now the one that was giving me issues still doesn’t want to turn on and I’m thinking it’s my igniter . My f66 fuse is good

I have one giving me a tough time. I have had the bubble bath and the only bubbles formed at the sides of both access covers. I flipped the rubber seals and it was really tight with very minimal bubble at the time of test. Vents are all OK. Yet soon as temperature drops somewhere below 10. I get condensation. I am getting fed up but I really want to solve this. Headlight is still Well sealed all round. No broken parts as much as I can see. Any suggestions please.

i have a 2007 passat While driving at night, afs malfunction occurs and this causes the left headlight to turn off. When I turn the headlights on and off using the headlight switch, the headlights return to normal. Is it possible to replace the AFS sensor without removing the bumper?

hi, i have a question, i have this headlight , Vectra c afl xénon, and i have a crazy problem: the left low beam has started bliking sometimes on bumps ans Bad roads, then it has stopped working, with dash light on. i put a New bulb, that didn't worked, i replaced the ballast, then my left low beam worked again.. but when i finished put everything black, screws, bumper.. and closed thé car... the left xenon is still on.. with car locked.. it nevers turns off... even 10 minutes later.. it's still on.. if i turn headlight Button, the right light turns on off, no problem, but the driver side low beam is always lightning.. do you have ever sée somerhing like that? do you have an idéa ? i had to remove balast to save the battery.. best regards.. al

Hi, I have a 2006 e87 with weak headlights. There is light, but weaker than normal. Can this also be the ballast? I have tried to change both bulbs, and it did not get better. thanks. Great video.

Hi @xenonland , can you please give me hand with these Cayenne ballast modules? My 2008 came with the original ballast on the right headlight reference 955.631.194.02 , but on the left side the last owner did install a new Hella ballast , reference 5 DC 009 060-01 . Is this new ballast ok ? Although there is the error on the Dash Main Menu that as you mentioned must be done at Porsche dealer with PIWIS software

Today I changed mine the back covers from both headlights because the mechanic broke it all 4:( never told me just I find myself when I was washing my car was getting water inside:(( the right headlight insede the window is with water stains :((! So when you replace the cover be careful with the jake is so easy breaking it:(!

I recently had an igniter fitted but it burnt out because it came loose. I went to fit one myself, but when I turn it, it doesn't lock into place. As in the 4 tabs that go into the metal ring, it doesn't snap into place when you turn the igniter to 12 o'clock position. Any ideas? The white indents inside the igniter are lined up and goes in, I am also able to connect the wire after it turns to lock position, but with the slightest touch it comes loose.

Thanks for the video. My problem is the led strip light across the bottom which went intermittent but then failed. The side light in the centre is still working but not the led strip at the bottom? This is only on the drivers side. I assume something needs replacing but I don't want to take the whole bumper off to' see that I can fix it without removal.

If the ballast is burned, is that sound still heard when you turn on the headlight? My light bulb doesn't work, but you can hear that buzzing sound in both headlights. The one on the left works.The one on the right after an accident, it was cracked, it made condensation, the bulbs blinked in unison for a few days until the LEDs (daylight) and the xenon bulb stopped working. Only that bulb works when you make a curve and the signaling.What could be the cause? The errors on the board are the following: Check right dipped beam lamp and Headlamp levelling malfunction - contact service

Hi! Thanks for providing great content. I have a MK5 R32 with bi xenon headlights. My left headlight is having an issue with the shutter that opens up when I turn on full beam. After 3-5 seconds the shutter closes. So you have any idea about what I need to do to get my shutter to work as it should do?
