How to clean the headlight chrome bezel without peeling the coating (Mercedes C-Class W204 headlamp)

In this video I will show you how to clean the headlight chrome bezels without peeling the coating or leaving fingerprints. Many of the mass model headlights (like BMW E60, E39, E46; Audi A3, A4, A5, A6, A8, A7; Mercedes-Benz SLK, CLK, C S E R A B-Class, GL, ML, SLR, W211, W203, W204; VW Touareg, Touran, Passat, Tiguan etc...) needs some repair, refurbishment, refreshment, or simple clean in time due to peeling & wear and tear.

I should have watch this video before touching my audi urS4 headlamps :D peeled littlebit of chrome and make some scrapes... almost ruined that one, they are pretty rare and only ones i can buy is 475eur/1 headlamp 😅 + just wanna say, i was thinking that those lights were bad already when i bought the car, have driven it like 8 years and now i have to change timing belt and waterpump and have 2 week time to clean lights. I noticed that they are in really good shape and they are just suuper dirty so theywerent really bad, just need to clean. cannot wait to see how they look after they are cleaned and installed :) + Thanks for the video!! :)

And do you have any recommend to clean those places that looks like shelf that havent been cleaned for 20 years? i mean like 1-2mm layer of hard dust on fragile chrome? Any water or anything or just with that fibercloth? i think using compressed air is bad idea

Just a wet (almost dry) fiber cloth without pressing, if you use alcohol you will wipe out everything.

Great videos, it is noticeable that you do possess knowledge about headlights. Could you make a video how to clean projector lens(the glass part) from both sides and how to clean/repair the bowl when its burnt out /dirty? How does the polishing affect the light output when doing so?

Great suggestion! I am looking for months for a "very smoked"burnt" projector reflector to be able to show it/compare it.

@@xenonland B5.5/B6 Passat could have those, both with halogen/xenon systems. Opel Omega B2 is rare but old, probably on the crunchy side :D
