Thank you, I had flashing head light which then died. Turns out it was ballast causing the flash, and that broke the xenon bulb. This video helped me to locate and change the ballast ❤

Are you able to access the daytime running lights module without removing the bumper? I was hoping I could get to it from underneath by removing the wheel arch cover?

How can you test if the Ballast unit it’s failed ? The ballast unit gives power to the D3S lamp ?

Glad it was helpful! Absolutely, it will be real pain. But there is a worst possibility, if the LED bulb of the DRL strip goes off, than new headlight required :) Please subscribe if you have not to help us.

Thanks for the video. My problem is the led strip light across the bottom which went intermittent but then failed. The side light in the centre is still working but not the led strip at the bottom? This is only on the drivers side. I assume something needs replacing but I don't want to take the whole bumper off to' see that I can fix it without removal.

either your led module is faulty or the led "bulb" (aluminium body inside the headlight) is burnt. First one is replaceable, second one is not (unless you remove the glass).

@@xenonland Thanks for the comment. How do I get at the faulty module? It seems the side light in the centre is unaffected. Is it road legal to leave the strip as is?

    Hi,
Can you please tell me the p/n for the horizontal adjustment motor? Mine is sometimes judder at right side when it does self test when you turn ignition on. Is intermittent and VCDS shows “swivel module mechanical failure”.
Please can you tell me p/n for it (right side head lamp) horizontal swivel motor?
Also how does headlamp come apart to fit new one?
    Thanks

The best way is to remove the lens and dismantle the headlight. This motor comes out very difficult from its place.

They are not available separately from SKoda, if gets faulty you have to change whole headlight. Or you have to find a broken donor headlight to take it. We have 1 listed for sale at ebay.

This is normally non-replaceable part if you look at the skoda repair manual. But if you find a broken donor headlight you can replace the whole projector unit (including the low/high beam shutter). You have to open the headlight. Or you should simply buy another replacement headlight.

@darylmccabe8886 as stated projector is not sold separately. You have to find another headlight to take off

yes, you can, but you should either open the casing from back, or open the headlight from the lens to do that.@@darylmccabe8886
