For panning the views are you using a hat switch or mini-stick? You might want to consider even a low cost head tracker setup. Your situatiinal awareneds will be improved, and not tying up a finger or thumb will be a blessed relief for you. 😢 And we in the audience will enjoy a smoother, more natural view of the situation.
