I built a plastic model kit of this warbird a week ago. I learnt a lot about this fantastic plane.
You're a master of the edit. How come I can't even get myself to jump forward past the taxiing sequence or the flight home? Great skills Zetexy - you make the mundane gripping!
By the way the bomb bouncing off the train was an unexpected physics event; very cool from the devs and a nice catch "on film."
This is not arcade crop!!!The heavy bomb probably penetrated thin fuel wagon and then flyed in to goround and then bomb detonator detonated the bomb. Pretty realistic phisis!!! Nice to Russian developers!!!
I love the engine sounds, emersion, and attention to detail in this game.

This warbird was way ahead of it's time....superb aerodynamics....even in a very high speed dive the control surfaces don't lock up ; )
Plus class-leading ergonomics and good visibility. This combined with control rods instead of cables made it much less tiring to fly, and gave the pilot great reaction times whenever he needed to change engine power for a manoeuvre. American radials required 5 lever pulls in order to accelerate, and the soviets fitted them to the La-5 etc. So while their stats on paper made the Fw look uncompetitive, in reality pilots were getting as many as double aces in a day.

I am not really a gamer but I ran into one of these vids Of Zetexy a while back and the videos are awesome down to starting the AUX fuel pump before starting and testing the control surfaces to me these are some of the best out there now!

It's hard to believe that such a warm looking environment where you see on the ground endless fields full of wheat and other agriculture is under yards of snow and ice in -50° temperatures for much of the year.

Great simulation & very convincing. Only couldn't help noticing after startup the grass behind it never moved, even when the throttle was pushed hard to taxi. Surely I am not the only one who noticed. But that said, enjoyed the video greatly. Nicely done.
Especially loved the effect at 14:35-14:50 correctly showing the action of the engine cooling fan's 3:1 gear ratio. I wasn't expecting it.

Just got the battles of Stalingrad and Bodenplatte on sale for super cheap (price was the only thing holding me back) after playing dcs for a while and becoming competent in the P-51D module. I'm looking forward to a WW2 focused* flight sim.

cool vid! I wasn't aware that they have simulated the bombs skipping on ground if you drop them low enough!
It was also in the older IL2 Sturmovik that was released around 2001 (not entirely sure of the date). I remember using this often, mostly when I trying to attack ships with bombs. I would make them rebound on the water so that they hit the ship directly on the side.
Well done, just save your bombs for better targets hey.
Cannon for the train would have been more than adequate.

I love how everyone is getting hammered about the Hakenkreuz missing, not the fact that a fucking steam lokomotive exploded like a barrel filled with kerosine lol.
Realism has other problems then symbols on the plane guys :D
You know there is steam pressure in that Steamer? Hit it at the right place and you get a big bang! No real Explosion but you see alot of steam and maybe some of the fire from the heating chamber!
Yeah, there is some steam pressure, that will have gone down however after the first bullets hit the tank. This bird was armed with 20mm, they punch right through the steam engine. One strafe should render a steam lokomotive useless, and count as a kill! :)
how do you add ships to your quick mission?

zetexy - Not having the emblem the Luftwaffe planes showed on their tails all through WW2 makes your vids look rather fake , not the real thing ! Guys, I want to buy this game, but wondering about performance, Cliffs of Dover runs barely ~30fps, i got i5-4210H, 8 gb rams, ddr3, SSD and nVidia Geforce 960M, and theres no demo, to try out the performance on the computer.

The Focke Wulf 190 began combat operations before the battle of Stalingrad. The planes you see in the videos are those of the Jagdgruppe 54 aka Grunen Hertzen ( Green Hearts )

Hmm, I didn't know the A-3 was a two seater.
Why do you think that A-3 was two seater?
I think he is confused by the back/head rest on the seat in the FW-190. It moves with the canopy Bader, so when the canopy is open I can see how you'd get two seater out of it ;-)

It is not second seat. It is armored headrest that moving with canopy. This comment about two seater does not apply to FW190 A-3, sorry about that.
