Don't know if you know about the 1970s head transplant experiment on monkeys. Apparently the eyes of the "Frankenstein" monkey moved in response to stimuli.
What do you mean it’s not working? You wouldn’t expect this to be possible at all? The fact they were ALIVE for a day connected to a new body, while still being able to function is more of a scientific breakthrough than anything else.
And this is how we are going to reach there in science. You can't expect science to progress by sitting still and just thinking about it instead of starting to try it. Actually world something organisation(I forgot the name).... Has approved the mice for unethical testing, but people will get arrested for unethical conduct if they got caught same things to any other animals. Mice were decided to be the lab rat for some reasons and allowed for experimenting.
People hundreds of years ago were against human anatomy dissection because of the same reason you are spouting. Immoral things have to be done for the sake of scientific advancement.
There’s a video of them crawling and drinking water. Is it insane to do a heart or hand transplant or even blood? How much more insane is this than just laying a mousetrap?
@@tfraggins I mean at some point at mouse 467 you gotta be thinking “maybe this isn’t gonna happen”, like could they not have figured this out after the first hundred?
You're naive if you think they are the only ones doing these things. At least they are being a bit more open and sharing it with the rest of the world.

God told humans to explore the world and discover things. This is cruel, but at least they die more usefully instead of poisoned or by mouse traps

The fact they lived for 1 day is groundbreaking and could be useful for cures.
The mice were alive for a day but what state were they in. Screaming in pain and a vegetable is not really alive.
Guess you could argue it's cruel but, how cool is it that mice could survive for an entire day in another mices body

How do you think you would get their without this? I agree it shpuld be illegal but you won't ger their without this.
And you can’t show any of the 1000 mice actually moving because they were all failures, but were seen as a success in the eyes of the insane.
Success because they at least learned something. That being said, it's a failure in the eyes of the pessimist.
