Sorry for the wait but we're back! I think we can hit 500K this month!!!! :D
Hope so
i believe in you choc
the fact you haven't yet is baffling to me lol
I wish you luck with your goal!
I'm subscribed
I'm so glad this game's getting this kind of attention, you really wouldn't expect a game like this to unironically be this good. Also, quick tip, you'd be surprised at how much useful info the tacticam can give you, especially stuff like how far enemies can move and shoot, and even what kind of abilities and weapons the enemies have
Truee
It also has no difficulty spikes, it has a progressive difficulty
THIS GAME IS SOOO GOOOD I CANT WAIT FOR THE SEQUEL
@NinjaMaster909 its getting a sequal
Isn't it ironic?
Here's a good tip now that you've unlocked sentries: use them.
Enemies can and will try to shoot them, so it's often best to target an enemy that is really far away so for at least one turn enemies target it instead of your allies. Having it move also triggers the baddies Hero Vision!
Be careful though because if they destroy it frame one via hero shot you get caught in the blast.
The other catch is that your own sentry will blow up as soon as they get near any enemy, which can sometimes make them not as effective as you’d like.
It's also just really good in general, it's the only splash weapon in the game that doesn't compromise range or damage.
They also can cause damage to enemies who hold shields.
Don't forget that they can also traverse Pipes, making their effective Range much further than you might expect...
Choctopus make sure you go back into ancient gardens and sherbet desert when you’re finish to do the secret chapters and the challenges for the secret chapters you can get coins orbs and weapons

Here are some tips on different characters:
(Updated: Text and Facts fixes)
(Thanks to @Aurelio Deprimus for giving me more tips)
Mario:
He is a mini tank that has high dmg, he is always in your party so try and focus on getting better weapons for him.
He has a dmg buff which is super broken, this should be something you should focus in his skill tree, his hero sight can be very good as well.
He doesn't have great mobility but upgrading his Stomp Jump range after landing on an enemy's head can help improve mobility.
His staus crits are honey and bounce, honey being the better option has it stops enemy movement entirely. bounce can be a good one as well as it pairs well with the hammer because you can deal great damage to the enemy and have a chance of hitting them away.
Rabbit peach:
She is a tanky healer, great for shaking off dmg with her shield.
She is not great at dealing with damage compared to others but is still good enough.
Her muti-dashes are great early game but it gets outclassed by other characters later on.
I recommend upgrading her healing and shield skill tree the most.
her status crits are push and honey, it's very similar to Marios but honey is better for blasters overall, for the sentries, any is fine but I recommend honey the most.
Rabbit Luigi:
One of my favorites with his great utility, he has a vamp dash which is very good support as it allows you to heal by attacking the enemy with inflicted vamp status.
His dash does the most damage in the game (160) at max and it can make up for the lack of damage.
His yoyo blaster is great for inflicting statuses such as burn, vamp, and stone(stone being basically a skipped turn).
His bazooka is a horrible weapon as it barely does dmg and is outclassed by other splash dmg weapons like sentries, it can be good because of the range and splash combined but it should mostly be used for cover destruction.
if you want to get better bazookas, try and focus on the status for it and not the dmg like Fire which can force enemies out of cover.
His specials are weaken and status shield, weaken makes it so enemies deal less dmg which makes it really good and I highly suggest upgrading, and his status shield can be good for battles that have a lot of enemies that use status such as bucklers.
Overall a good character but lacks dmg and is not very tanky, I recommend upgrading his weaken and his vamp dash the most.
Luigi:
Your mobility character, he has excellent mobility which makes him good for "get to the exit" battles, and buffs movement speed which can be good for escort battles.
He is fragile so try to keep him from harm's way and use his long-range and high dmg to deal with enemies, he is very effective against crushers.
His other ability is basically Mario's hero sight, he can have 3 shots with this ability.
The best skills for him is his muti team jump and specials.
His status crits are ink and bounce, ink is the better one in my opinion as it stops enemies from attacking, bounce can be paired great with his sentries though.
Rabbit Mario:
He is very good at dealing damage, mainly in close range.
his specials aren't too great and he can beat very risky and hard character to use if you are a beginner.
his statuses are vamp and stone, these being very good, vamp being super useful for support, and stone being op as it basically skips the enemies turn.
these can be combined with many of Rabbit Mario's abilities such as magnet dance and stone.
He is risky because all of his attacks can hit teammates which can be a real turn-off for many people, but this is also an upside as it means that he can splash his crap load of damage onto many targets.
his movement ability is the boom dash which is very hazardous but can be very strong against groups of enemies.
his specials are the magnet dance and bodyguard(shield).
these specials can be useful but bodyguard is very bad as it only blocks movement damage, which are dashes that only two enemies can do, it can be upgraded to protect against weapon damage but not by much.
overall, he is a great character if used properly and can sweep a lot of the enemies in quick sessions.
Peach will be done a bit later.
you deserve a like
Even though he’s the only far range character, I can’t bear to use Luigi simply for his awful low health.
I know you can keep him back and his X3 steely stare is awesome, but I still always feel like there’s a better character to use. Also, speaking of super affects, why can’t any enemy’s use rabbid Luigi’s weaken effect. Plus, the games also lacking a character that can use a century. I know this is random, but I think that the game should have introduced a enemy around late 3rd world and early 4th world that could do both of those things. Don’t know what it would be though..
Just a small addendum to your guides.^^
Mario: Also upgrade his Stomp Jump range after landing on an enemies head. It is his best way of mobility.
Bounce is the better status effect to focus on. With the Hammer you can bounce surviving enemies away from you and bouncing an enemy with hero sight ends their movement and triggers the follow-up shots for effective combos.
Rabbit Peach: If you want to use Hero Sight offensively, Push is the status effect to go. Especially on the sentry, since you can push enemies out of cover with it.
Also sentrys shoul be on the same upgrade priority as Marios weapons. Better sentrys have not only increased damage, but movement range and hp as well, allowing them to soak more shots.
Rabbit Luigi: At least buy a Bazooka with Fire as a status effect. The explosion still can inflict burn and so you can force enemies out of cover with it. But yeah, its main purpose is cover destruction, which is not that useful.
Luigi: Same goes for his sentry. Also Bounce is the effect to go for both weapons, if you want to use Steely Stare offensively.
To correct your comment about Rabbid Luigi’s weaken, it doesn’t increase the damage enemies take, it decreases the damage they do. It’s a bit useful when you need to survive a bit longer so all enemies in range don’t do as much to you. It’s a de-buff to their damage. His bazooka is not very powerful as you said, but it’s main effect is it’s range, it has the same range as Luigi’s main sniper weapon, (if you keep it on par with your upgrades) and its AOE damage is useful in a few ways. I do agree that it’s the worst of the secondary weapons, but its range and AOE shouldn’t be ignored, I’d recommend buying a few of those weapons so it’s not completely outclassed later.
I like how the rabbits aren’t just copy’s of the Mario characters but have their own personality
*Rabbids

@@chainsawboy2388 true but he dies so quick its Annoying
Hey Choctopus. A good tip is to give luigi some more hp and to upgrade his weapons more often. Luigi is meant to be a long range specialist so keep him away from big action. If you upgrade his weapons frequently, Luigi can be a monster killer
Health on Luigi shouldn't be a priority, since he can stay far away and deal damage. Focus more on high mobility, I think
The real one or the rabbit one
The real one
@@lertik3898 Yeah I misspoke on that one. High mobility is key for finishing reach area missions quickly. And that would definitely suit choctopus play style
Both Luigis can be crazy strong. With Rabbid Luigi once you have his Vampire Tackle going he just heals for days.
This game is actually super good and needed more attention. I can’t wait for the sequel
@Wii ROCKS. I don’t think I’ve ever heard someone other than this guy mention the game, I don’t think it could be called overrated even if it was bad. Also the soundtrack slaps hard and it’s made by the guy who composed the DK Rap how can it not slap.

@@Gobershmat just a troll pay him no mind
@Wii ROCKS. no relevant arguement?
You can tell when a level has weather elements by the weathercocks while also knowing where the tornado will spawn by the whirling wind that was shown when the first appeared.
Tip: Super effects: Freeze is pretty good, not amazing but is helpful in late game, stops enemies from doing things like villain sight, shielding, and etc.. Ink is a status that luigi uses and is one of the best ones in the game, taking the attacking out of the equation, and forcing them to use their techniques. (Makes smashers utterly useless against you) And the main reason why Rabbid mario is cracked is his stone super effect. Stone is EASILY the best effect in the game. It's a combination of Honey, Freeze, and Ink, meaning the foe can't do anything at all for that turn... Since rabbid mario can use his shot and hammer to hit an army at once, you can imagine the power you'd have. Other notable ones are Bounce, Burn and Push since they're great at getting enemies to move for you, so you can set up combos with hero sight. It's mandatory to learn and use in some of the later challenges. And don't worry. You might think super effects aren't great to rely on now, but let's just say that they basically become guaranteed in late game.
Thanks for reading and continue to do some great work!
Good analysis.
Tips for which weapon is best with which ability:
Mario - use Bounce for hammer. Usually in melee you're leaving yourself wide open, so the chance to propeller your enemy away from you is best option for this range (especially if it a smasher). Honey is TERRIBLE for melee as it glues the enemy stuck right near you, and since you usually already spent your movement you cannot escape.
Honey or Bounce can both be good from the safe distance the blaster provides, just note that honey disables any further reaction shots.
Luigi - Ink is usually the better option for both weapons for denying the enemy the chance to damage you. Bounce can be used to trigger reaction shots so it's also viable, though I'll recommend keeping it for the secondary.
Rabbid Mario - Stone. No question. Especially in melee range as you petrify the enemy for the entire turn. Multiple even due to rabbit mario's AOE range.
Vampire is great to provide self heal to your front line beserker (especially if you're going without an healer), but keep it to your boomshot if needed.
Rabbit peach - Honey for blaster, Push for sentry. Both are not that notable really.
Peach - Freeze is usually better for disabling techniques. Burn can be good for triggering reaction shots, but is also VERY unpredictable and can possibly hurt your teammates.
Rabbit Luigi - has the most variety of status effects in his weapons. Vampire is already given with his dash attack, so i suggest focusing on other effects. *Get stone as fast as you can.*
@@greenstarlover1 What he said.
Vamp is also an incredibly useful effect. Not just the hit with the vamp effect restores health for the one who is attacking, but all hits to the enemy (including movement attacks), while it is affected will restore health to whoever is attacking. Especially when the team does a lot of damage later on in the game, vamp can restore a ton of health.
@@greenstarlover1 vamp is incredible, I recommend vamp on the boomshot since it can provide you with a casual 500 health and turn him into a healer if you're running the bros and Rabbid Mario for a more aggro comp. Stone isn't bad ever, but neither is vamp. If you intention is to kill the enemy use vamp but if you want it to act as a get out of jail free card use stone (good on the hammer).

A small but helpful tip is that you can check enemies to see how far they move, and their attack range for the next turn
Fun fact: Sandy’s starting HP is 420
Also here are some tips: you can always reset your skill tree and change it whenever you want. For escort missions, use Luigi’s itchy feet before moving him on turn 1 so everyone including the one you need too escort can move farther, I recommend maxing it out if you can. You should also use a hammer with bounce for Mario because honey can still get you damaged even if you honey them with the hammer. For the blaster it dosent matter but I recommend bounce.
Upgrading itchy feet and unlocking the double jump makes your team cover a ridiculous amount of ground in one turn.
Another fun fact: I finished the final boss with one character who ended at 420 hp
What is fun about this fact
@@professionaltrashcan6758 honestly upgrade each of the 3 main upgrades on each character to start, gives you a nice perk, a weapon and also another technique and they're all cheap. Then, you can spec stuff like your synergies you want to build.
@@whateverkat8122 because 420 is funny number
Little tip: make sure all characters have the cleansing jump unlocked. It is SUPER important as it allows you to recover a teammate from a status effect by team jumping him.
YES
and only costs ten, that's important. If it were 30 or so, maybe keeping it to Luigi and your healer would be the play but no lol it's basically free.
Ive played through this game 3 times, here are a few tips:
1.Luigi busted use him and upgrade his and Marios hero Visions
2. Explore the map and do every puzzle you find even if its an old map, it makes the game a lot easier (and more fun)
3. If an enemy has orange aura it means they'll light you up if you move, if u see them with that auta then just send a Sentry in to tank

Can't wait till next episode to see chocs reactions, the nest world is a good one.
A tip you should keep in mind: don't stack your team together so the AOE doesn't affect all of them.

11:49 love the change of thought. such timing. Much comedy.
A small tip: You can use your Tacticam on enemies under the ground to determine what type of enemies they are before they appear.
10:00 I love this little animation from Rabbid Peach. She goes to lean on the block and realizes it’s not there.
Here’s a tip, Choc. Learn how to use the Tacticam. It shows you everything; how far the enemies can move, how far they can shoot, the AOE of their special moves, and especially stage hazards.
I must say, using the Hero's Sight ability from Mario, Luigi, and Peach to gang up on one enemy while he moves is pretty satisfying
Unfortunately, you have to have at least one Rabbid in your team, so you can't do all three.
The first video made me binge a walkthrough of this game. Choc, you’re good.
The renderings being absolutely gorgeous for this game coupled with the fact that Nintendo let Mario use a hand blaster(gun) should be enough for Mario fans to give this game a try. Unless you don’t like strategy games, you WILL like this game. It is imo one of the best new things to come out of the switch’s creation.
Wasn’t this a Wii U game first? I don’t think this one came from the Switch
@@mathcookie8224 it did. It was one of the first big exclusives on switch in 2017
RABBID LUIGI is lowkey the goddamn GOAT! When you max out the vamp dashes the little man just wont die XD
The lack of use of Luigi and his sniping ability is driving me crazy
Luigi can be daunting to use in early game, mostly due to his extremely low HP (though is obviously must-have for reaching the goal mission).
Only after maxing his hero sight (and his health), his true might comes to shine (which usually happens roughly in mid to late-game).
"Please tell me we're giving Toad a gun."
Well in Super Mario RPG there's a Toad with a bazooka.
3:47 taking the saying "this is going to hurt me more than it hurts you" to a whole another level
👍
My favorite part of this game is how every team member is useful. Depending on what kind of mission you’re playing, certain characters excel more than others, like Luigi being helpful at reaching a goal.
Yeah. While Rabbid Yoshi can be bad in some cases, he can be absolutely amazing in some cases thanks to Outer Shell and Ultra Dash.
Luigi is uber broken in Reach the Goal missions one time I won in about 2 turns.
I use him and Rabbid Mario for those missions. Rabbid Mario has the largest movement tied with Luigi if I remember correctly.
PEACH CAME IN PACKING HEAT! That little smile of anticipation of hers hahahaha, she didn't come to play around, oh hell no hahahaha
When moving you can dash through enemies to hurt them, mario can jump off an ally and stomp on one enemy, you will want to utilize mario amd Luigi's abilities that make it so when anyone moves they shoot them, that's a very fun strat with bouncy effects because you juggle them
Got to say it is very enjoyable seeing someone that doesn't know much about Xcom struggle and learn through this game, keep it up
this is an optionnal comment, im gonna make a list of things you can do better.
don't take this personally.
-your overall placement (don't spread too much, don't get too close unless you are 100% sure you can kill the ennemy before he can hit you.)
-check the ennemy movement and range (you can do that with the tactical camera, the X button)
-don't hit your allies (i feel like this one explains itself)
-don't forget to dash ennemies when you can, also upgrade your dash and stomp jump damage in your skill tree.
-peach can heal when she lands after a jump.
- don't rush down smashers (they attack you if you attack them so play cautiously with them, you can use drones and opportunity attacks to do some pretty neat combo on them and swap who they are attacking, also dashes and stomps)
-flank all ennemies (try to pretty much never have to rely on a 50/50 chance of hitting them, 50% chance is very low)
-remember against who your weapon is strong against (use crits basically, you got a weapon strong against supporters? use it to kill supporters.)
- don't stay in one pack too much (a lot of ennemies have AOE damage, you should try to have like 3 to 4 spaces between your characters.)
i think that's already a good list, i probably missed a lot of things, AGAIN, this is not supposed to be a hurtfull comment, im strying to give advice.
if you don't want advice, feel free to ignore this comment, good luck with this game.
oh one last thing, smashers are the most dangerous ennemy in the game... usually... you have to be wary of them, and almost treat them like minibosses...
but don't play too agressive on them, this'll come bite you back really fast if you do that. as this video very much shows.
For the escort toad missions I recommend moving toad first (unless someone has villan sight then move someone else then move everyone else around toad never leave toad alone or things will go south very quick
3:46 You took more damage from the bazooka then the enemy you were pointing it at... how?
6:04
Early game he's not really a good choice, but in late game, *You have a damn terminator*
damn right
Quick tips: Sentries trigger the Villian Sight of enemies and Luigi is really good in escort missions
Luigi is really good *speeding up* escort missions. Peach is good for keeping Toad alive with her shield. Would've chosen both for these missions if not for the game's stupid roster restrictions.
@@greenstarlover1 Thankfully, they are fixing that in Sparks of Hope
As much as I don’t like Ubisoft or Rabbids, they somehow made this absolute gem and I love it
Once you beat the main story you should definitely try out the donkey kong adventure dlc. It's really fun and has a lot of references to the dkc series, donkey kong is also op.
In ways I think the dk adventure is better. There's no extender character roster, but by only having to account for 1 set of characters, the levels feel more focused and consistently difficult.
5:13 Nice shot Mario. That took skill
I like how he assumed this game would be a cakewalk because it's Mario.
It can and will kick your teeth in if you don't stop and think for a minute.
You are the only reason I'm replaying this game and I am have a wonderful time! Thank you!
Love this content! The inexperience is entertainment incarnate.
Also, those spongebob dolphin sounds haha.
When you fight blizzy and sandy, the beat strategy is to defeat blizzy first, because he has low health, than keep your distance from sandy and spread your characters to not get splashed by his bombs
Quick notes.
1. Get sub weapons IMMEDIATELY. They're immensely useful for different characters, either offering more powerful attacks, more utility and range of attack, or both. Sentries are especially good since they can draw enemy fire and force Overwatch shots. In all honestly, I'm stunned you didn't have them unlocked by now, Sentries are just about essential for Rabbid Kong.
2. Go for Perfect whenever possible. You'll get more money from the end of the section if you do, which means more money to get better weapons. Don't be afraid to retry missions to get them either. Golden Shot upgrades are useful for this as well.
3. Get a feel for what your characters can do. Luigi is a low-health, long-range character so he gets Sentries and snipers. He's meant to be away from the action, using Itchy Feet to either position himself better or to help his allies get a strong initial push (with strong ailment choices in Bounce (knocks enemies away and immediately ends their action if they're moving) and Ink (lock out attacks for a turn). Meanwhile, Rabbid Mario, with hammers and shotguns, wants to group up enemies and fight at close range (as a side note, both his ailment choices are DEVASTATING, with Stone shutting out all actions for a turn and Vampire giving massive healing). All characters have ranges they do well in and ailments they focus on. Keep them both in mind.
4. Keep everyone's movement abilities in mind. The Mario cast all have Team Jump based abilities while the Rabbids have Slide abilities. Plan with them and you'll have a force multiplier as you bounce across the map before tearing through enemies.
What you can do to make yourself stronger is try to complete as many challenges as possible, and also collect gold chests. Skill orbs are very hard to find outside of challenges, and can offer some of the most useful upgrades, and if you're really struggling, you can always get extra health at the beginning of fights.
One more note: Sentries are very useful, attacking on their own, and also drawing fire. Luigi, who has both sentries and a weapon with above-average damage and range, both of which can bounce enemies or prevent them from firing, is very useful and I had him on my team the whole way through most of the game.
Tip with the Bucklers, act as though their shield is a full block of cover directly in front of them. If you’re right around the corner of a block from an enemy then you can still shoot them, works the same with the Buckler’s shield.
11:32 man that really hurts....
In my opinion, if you want to deal the most damage the fastest I would recommend the Mario-Luigi-Rabbid Mario team comp because of the insane damage output and because the abilities of the three compliment each other really well.
and if you run it with vamp on both of Rabbid Mario's weapons you are nigh invincible if you ration enemy HP wisely.
Hey Choc, I don’t know if you’ll read this but here are some tips for your play through that might help:
-If a character has orange aura around them, it means that they’ll shoot you if you move. Try to go for them first.
-Peach has an ability from the shop where every team jump she does heals your party if they’re in range, and it has no cooldown. Use this a lot.
-Stone prevents an entire character from actions. If one of your weapons has it, use it. It’s a combination of honey, freeze, and ink in one. If I remember, Rabbid Mario (hammer) and Rabbid Luigi (Bworb) have the effect.
-You can purchase cleanse jump from the shop to clear an ally’s effects by simply team jumping.
5:10 Mario is so good that he doesn't even need to point his gun at the rabbids
0:25 Mario wanted the candy
3:28 Good lord the mere second I saw the zoobooks my brain straight up flew BACKWARDS in time I was not ready for that-
The one thing I would recommend that I haven’t seen others mention is to use shields before you move, especially if enemies are using that “Shoot when they see you” trick. It negates a lot of damage.
Here's a tip for a boss later in the game: since Mario and Luigi both have hero shot, upgrade hero shot on both brothers to have more shots and do more damage, and on your turn use both abilities because one of the bosses in the game move towards your characters if they get shot, so if you follow this tip correctly you should have done a wombo combo the boss, save this tip for later
Ping pong Bowser Jr to oblivion X'D
He isn't that far into Mario and rabbits kingdom battle and besides I didn't want to say which boss specifically and which world but who cares now, bowser jr is the midboss of world 4
That Zoobooks commercial unlocked an old core memory.
Small bit of advice:make sure yall up the movement in the "other section" of the skill tree
Including the pipe exit spaces
maxing pipe exit spaces is too expensive for some, but on others it is a must have (it even removes itchy feet buff when you enter a pipe which sucks)
Also here to toot Luigi’s horn. Most useful character in the widest variety of parties bc his niche as a high damage sniper with good movement ticks boxes in every mission
3:30 Oh my god I DO remember that! They use to played that commercial non stop!
Chocotpus my BIGGEST Tips for you my man is to RE-DO Old Missions via the Time Washing Machine and doing Bonus Missions by going back to previous stages, and Exploring. Re-doing old missions and getting Perfect Score (Turn limit, Party all alive) gets you Orbs and Coins. Doing Bonus Missions via going to old stages will grant you more Orbs to upgrading skills. An of course Exploring every nook and cranny will yield orbs, coins, and Powerful weapons that are usually way better then what you'll Unlock after a chapter or two.
BONUS TIP:
Well not much a tip but a preference! I had Mario Learn a second Hero Sight as well as have him with a blaster that does Bounce. Reason being is usually at least for me whenever I sent a enemy flying his hero sight will hit twice and send them flying even further then before- sometimes even off the map!
I hope this helps you out man!
Yeah it’s not a game anyone expected to be great, yet here we are. Oh and the Donkey Kong Adventure DLC is also a banger, so if you finish this up and really like it, highly recommend it! Big bang for your buck to, not quite as large as the main campaign but it’s pretty sizable for what, 20 bucks.
I feel like everyone hated it when it was first announced just because Rabbids are in it. Like yes I get it a lot of people don’t like Rabbids but just because a game has them in it does not mean it’s gonna be bad. I’m glad this game proved that wrong

him: I think I've gotten over the, the hump were just effortlessly clearing missions now
the rabbid in the back: BWAAH
As for a skilled and Expert for Mario + Rabbids I would like to give you some tips and tricks that’ll might be helpful for you further on this game
1. Use rabbid Luigi’s vamp dash on enemies and let other characters hit the enemies that have the vamp effect so they’ll heal up.
2. Use rabbid peach or Luigi’s sentries as decoys forcing enemies to waste villain site shots and other enemies will attack your sentries.
3. Ink and Stone are very useful effects one can prevent enemies to attack you and the other makes enemies do nothing but stand.
Hope these tips are helpful for you.
This game still whoops my butt, even when I recharge my HP.
Tip: stone is stupid op, since it can 1. disable abilities like hero sight or the damage buff, like ice
2. It can stop them from moving, like honey
And 3. It can keep them from attacking, like ink.
It's a 3 in 1 combo!
This game is hard, especially if you don't have much experience in these type of games. So don't feel too bad if you need the extra health on some battles because they get way harder.
And it's even worse if you, for some reason, force yourself to get gold/3 stars on every battle.
Fire Emblem was so much easier than this...
You can go back to all the chapters and battles to clean up your Gold trophies. Especially once you've gotten to chapter 3, it's a good idea to go back regularly.
The game isn't difficult on its own. The learning of the enemies' movements and abilities is time consuming, which isn't a bad thing. But if you wanna just rush through the game, and head in Guns Blazing, then the game will "seem" hard. You have to take your time with this game. It's not just run, jump, and get to the end of the level.
@@angusyoung119 I felt the need to 3 star each battle on the first go so I gave myself an unnecessarily hard challenge. That's on me for underestimating the game.
I do disagree on your second point though. The game is pretty difficult. The first 2/3 worlds weren't that bad, but the last world is where things got pretty challenging. I played pretty safe and it still gave me a run for my money.
@@Atomosphere Yeah, I gotta say, I definitely had no trouble playing the game.
Not saying that I'm a God and need to be revered for that, or that none of the battles beat me, but I had more challenge in finding all of the chests than I did with story battles.
The post-story battles get pretty difficult, but the Main Game wasn't bad. And once you know how to play this game, it's just a matter of the best team for the best situation. It really is "Kid's First XCOM/Strategy game".
Hey! Its nice to see that someone is still playing this game! Anyway i've got a tip for future. So you know how you unlock weapons and its got the special effect like push or burn. Well you are gonna be unlocking stone and vampire and those are extremely op! Stone effect: if you hit someone with a stone effect the enemy cannot do anything. It cannot move, use weapons oruse something like mario's hero sight. It can however be canceled if another enemy jumps on the enemy you just hit with a stone. (Just realiazed that you already have stone effect on rabbid mario but i dont think you realized what it does because the boss was immune).
Vampire: Okay lets say your mario has like 10hp and you cannot heal him with rabbid peach, but if you use the vampire effect on a enemy and if mario then hits the enemy you just hit with the vampire, mario can the shoot the enemy and mario will heal half of the damage you dealt to the enemy and if you kill the enemy it will give you all the heal of the damage you dealt to the enemy. And you actually have the vampire effect aquired on rabbid luigi, if you dash into someone they will have the effect, if you noticed.
Its really op!
So once you see that you can buy a weapon that has a stone effect or vampire on it. Buy it!
"Once thriving desert?" Deserts don't thrive! That's what makes them deserts!
This is going to be such a fun series to watch, also during combat you can press X to open the tacticam which will let you check out the ranges and movement of anybody on the field, friends and foes. Good for planning unit placement so enemies have a harder time
Stone will stop them from doing anything for one turn but most bosses if not all of them are immune to effects
"I'm gonna throw the Duck Bomb." QUACKBANG OUT!
This is weirdly cool for a mario and rabbids game of all things, theirs so much strategic thinking that it feels like you could be headshot at any moment
Rabbid Yoshi will be a life saver in some situations. His gun can take down Bucklers pretty fast, and his Grenaduck can reach higher places if you can't use Luigi
14:24 there are no accidents
This game is so fun, I love it, I can't wait for you to play more (especially world 3)

I refer you to my favorite article about this game
“I did not expect to swear so much as Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle”
Funny thing about that boss fight, its impossible to have Luigi for that fight. Luigi always occupies the last slot in the party, no matter how you arrange them. And the boss removes the last party member for Peach. I had such a long battle with that boss, and I kept telling myself. "Dammit Luigi could solo this boss"
“Please feel me we are giving toad a gun” is the best choc quote of all time
I loved this game but i found the last world to be brutal even with extra hp.
Peach is a very VERY strong character with her healing and literal shotgun, and its a kind of smart balance move that you cant have her and Luigi in the same party.
Yeah, though I hope they remove this restriction in Sparks of Hope. The strict limitations of 'Mario Mandatory, Must have at Least 1 Rabbid' made many battles require a buttload of preparation work beforehand, often requiring a complete retool of the characters for maximum effectiveness. This huge time consumption makes things more exhausting - and even if you simply switch the Team Lineup rather than micromanage everything, those limitations ensure that you'll never have an ideal Team to face any specific Stage. Sounds like Artificial Difficulty to me...
Rabbid Mario: Our close-range specialist. Boomshot can deal extremely good damage up-close; his primary weapon is the Boomshot that deals high AoE damage (in fact, the damage when up close is actually one of the highest damage out of any primary weapon, though it decreases the further away enemies lie in his AoE). His secondary weapon is the same as Mario's; the hammer, which does the highest damage of all secondaries up close. His abilities is a Shield that stops pretty much all movement-based damage and a more useful ability that draws enemies toward him. High HP and ground movement lets him cover a lot of ground, and his Dash also has an AoE damage effect tied to it, but his aerial mobility is garbage like most Rabbids. As AoEs do friendly-fire, you have to be careful with aiming him, but you will never have a better close-range AoE specialist than him; gameplan is basically gather as many enemies as you can within Rabbid Mario's range, then spread as much AoE damage as you can. His elements is Vamp which I've talked about in Rabbid Luigi's section, and Stone (which I mentioned in passing in Rabbid Luigi's section in the previous video) which I will explain here: Stone basically completely shuts down the opponent; they can't attack, they can't move, and they can't use abilities. This makes it the absolute best status effect in the entire game, and it's the other reason why Rabbid Luigi is so very very broken. Especially in postgame where he gets a weapon that inflicts Stone 100% of the time. As for Rabbid Mario, given how he's very much in the fray, having access to these two status effects makes him very very good at his job like how Luigi is very very good at being a long-range sniper.
Peach: In this game, Peach is the tank. Everything about her abilities is meant to soak up damage and protect the weaker allies on your team, and she can heal as a secondary option through her AoE team jump, even if it isn't as effective as her Rabbid counterpart. And with the highest HP in the game, soak up damage she will. Personally, she's probably the second worst character in the game if you're good at strategy, though with the way you play, you absolutely need someone with high HP that is capable of soaking up damage that would go to your frailer members. Her ground mobility is the worst, tied with Mario, and her aerial mobility is average. Her primary is the Boomshot like Rabbid Mario, which gives her some good damage at close-range (well, she is a tank), but it synergizes badly with the Sight ability she gains as it's possible that the AoE hits an ally depending on how the enemy enters her sight and how you're positioned. The Rubber Grenades are... unremarkable to say the least. Her status effects are Fire and Freeze. Freeze is the last status effect in the game that I haven't talked about. It prevents affected enemies from using abilities. Yeah...
Really, the status effects she has access to kinda suck the most out of any character.
Fun Fact: In the Icicle Golem fight, there’s a glitch that will happen rarely when the Icicle Golem shoots his version of Mario’s “Hero Sight”. The glitch is that the entire game will move in slow motion. Happened to me on my first playthrough and had to restart because I just couldn’t take it
" i got to get him on my team, ASAP! " *doesnt put on team*
I really hope you plan to finish this game.
Some might think it's repetitive, but the later battles become really difficult and require you to play smarter.
Rabbid Mario is so good, especially with leveled-up dash attacks. You can get near a group of enemies and dash each of them, damaging every one of them with each hit. It’s so satisfying.
Rabbid Luigi is what we in the business call insane, since his dash can get upgraded to heal him for all it's damage and casually deal 160. TWICE. He heals 320 and deals that before even shooting his weapon. Anybody that shoots the guys you inflicted vamp on also heals though 50% of it. Actual insanity...
So glad this game is getting the attention it deserves. One of my favorite games for the switch.
Also I haven’t played this game since like 2019, forgot how epic the boss battle theme (and soundtrack in general) was
Grant Kirkhope never fails to impress
I’m gonna say that stone is probably the best effect that you can have in a weapon preventing them from shooting moving and using skill (basically honey ink and freeze combined ) rabbis Luigi has very high effect chance so is a great one to use it
Honorable Mention to Vamp for being the optimal play in some builds that lack healing letting you burst down enemies faster without worrying about range. Sure, stone ensures the guy NEXT TO YOU won't get you, or even one distant target, but then the rest attack you and that can put you in a bind if you don't have a committed healer. Vamp ensures that if you kills huge one turn kill threats, you're almost invincible with ability management.
9:00 Jeez that got dark☹️.
