I'm starting to fall in love with the Philippines. Need to get a new passport. Had one but it expired. It all looks amazing. Yes, please visit Alabang for a day.
BGC looks so nice and modern. Tons of familiar brands and restaurants you see here in the states. Hope your upcoming vlogs explore outside of the city and showcase more of the local culture and authentic Filipino food scene. Keep up the good work!
Sup Jay! When you Hittup Uptown, you should do a review of the Japanese Food Hall inside Mitsukoshi Mall. It's in lower basement level. Looks awesome! Can't wait to try it!
Great video. I really like how you showed all the cool places there. Random, but how do those Philippine Nike Hoodie sizes work? I'm trying to cop one too from one of my relatives who is there right now. Is an American Large like a Philippines XXXL?
Great vids of the BGC area! My family was from the Cavite province and I went to the US when I was a kid in the late 1960s. I live in Las Vegas, NV US now. Try out the barbers at the Venice mall, most of the vloggers was showing them at great low prices.
Cool video Jay Jay I love watching you drinking the Ube Sago shake that looks delicious with a lot of calories. LOL And it was nice to see your family in BGC I enjoyed the video very much. By the way I’m no longer able to post my comments on your channels, I think RUclips mistaken my main channel as spam. Therefore I had to use my second channel. Keep up the good work Jay Jay. This part of Manila looks a lot like the US. I’m sure the weather is great in February. I hope you get out and show us some of the stuff in The Philippines that’s a bit more unique.
@jaycation, for a taste of a "traditional" neighborhood...there's a hidden shortcut behind Grand Hyatt, next to Park West condo. It's called "Butas" entrance. Fill your cravings for street food just a hop, skip away!
@@Jaycation I believe it's open between 6am-10pm. Since tricycles aren't allowed in BGC, and if you're exploring the neiboring area (Guadalupe), that's where you can get picked up or dropped off. OR explore by foot 🙂 Jeepneys are only allowed on select roads on the outskirts of BGC.
Wow , thank you so much Jay this was so educational and very encouraging for me to watch this although I am born in the United States of Filipino descent comma I really appreciate your Vlogs thank you so much I hope someday to visit here
I'll probably stay in BGC next time, I was in Makati last time, I like being around Greenbelt and the parks as its pretty lively out there and what I'm familiar with. I did visit BGC but just for the Jordan store, walked down High street and dinner (at that same Wildflour) but it did remind me of Singapore. Manam is awesome, I was actually back in the US dreaming of their traditional elevated Filipino dishes (without being fusion). And their Sago Mango drink was so good. (went to the one in Makati though)
Thanks so much for taking us along on your wonderful journey Jay. Would you get by on a visit to BGC if you only spoke English? P.s would really love to see you visit the san diego garden about half an hour drive from where you're at.
Everyone speaks English in BGC and many thru out the country as it's 1 of 2 national languages. Definitely a place that makes it familiar to ease into a new culture
You got me missing BGC, was just there last month. Wildflour Bakery + Cafe is my favorite. I always get the pistachio au lait and I add a shot of espresso. Highly recommend if you do go back to Wildflour.
Hey Jay, could you get dad give us his recipe for the chicken skewers that he makes in his backyard love you Philippine Manila tour it is so fun some people will never get to do what you do and it is so nice that you share with us hello dad and mom cation from New Orleans
As an American born half-pinay who has never been to PI, I’m so appreciative that you are doing this series Jay! Looking forward to what’s to come over the next month while you’re out there. Salamat! ❤

Jay, I gotta ask - As a disabled person (from the US): How accessible is BGC? It is easy to get around the city? Is everything in close(ish) proximity?
I’ve lived in BGC since the early days (2006) when there were less than a dozen high rises. From the very beginning, BGC was designed to accommodate PWDs. You can see in the video that the sidewalks are very wide.
Not just this administration, even with the previous administration and before. It’s the cost of living and inflation of why people are leaving the US.
