Malls in the Philippines are a one-stop shop. It has everything from churches, barbers/salons, arcade to groceries and department stores, to name a few.
Venice Mall, Uptown Mall are so cool! Love all the restaurants & shops there. Thanks for showing us these wonderful places in the PH. You’re the best Jaycation! Thanks in advance for ur pasalubong!❤️🥰
Hey Jay, just a suggestion: try riding a jeepney or a tricycle to get around when you’re outside BGC and saying what’s up to the locals. Maybe practice that Tagalog with them! When you get to Intramuros, swing by Saint Agustin church and museum and ride a calesa through the district. Also, check out the Rockwell Center in Makati if you get a chance. Thats where my family and I stay whenever I’m in town. The Power Plant mall there is pretty swanky.
Awesome 👍 you had me laughing when you said the pig in a hoodie looked like your little bro 😂 great exploration video. Like mommy G, like son with that facial, looked good.
Hi Jay great video! One of my favourite parts of the video was watching you eat fish and chips, that battered fish looks so good. Here in England a lot of Brits will have that every Fridays for their dinner. Furthermore, I hope Momcation will like her Miniso pig. The Miniso pigs are so cute! Thanks for sharing Jay❤️
i haven't been back to the Philippines since the early 90s when i was a kid. Back then, i recall the traffic being a nightmare, and no one seemed to drive in any one single lane. Turning on almost any road also seemed like a "free for all." From the looks of things, the traffic is probably one of the few things that's stayed the same, lol.
Those malls are really nice. Wish out malls looked like that. Think I want to move there thanks to Jaycation. Mango is my #1, peach is my #2. Had no NH idea Kenny Rogers Roasters still existed. Wow! Facials are very relaxing, usually.
you should watch "momduty vlogs" .... i think she's a mexican american married to a fil-am guy, they lived in bgc ..... you might get a lot of ideas since she vlogs over there .....
The glam spots are great. I suggest gettin to showcase some of the street food carts/ carinderias…spots were locals eat. Great value and 100% more authentic. 🤟🏽
i'm spoiled 'bout white sand beaches plus warm weather bcuz the island where i grew up in p.i is known for white sand beaches & a little bit of nature ........ but it got crowded now bcuz it became a touristy place since the 2K era began rollin' ......
Jay, check out Mitsukoshi mall if you circle back to Uptown! Also try using a face cleanser with salicylic acid in it a couple times a week to keep them white heads at bay. 😅
Remember back in the day, maybe 2008, we would go to Embassy @ The Fort (now BGC area). We got bottle service, table next to the DJ both and the bottles were only $40 or $50 each, we got so hammered. 😂
Not sure if you know this but *BENCH/* or *bench/* of the Philippines (with slash) and *Bench.* of the UK (with period) are two different companies and brands. The Philippine company was founded 2 years before the UK one.
visit and explore the makati city and filenvest alabang muntinlupa city and ortigas center and green field district and vertis north and araneta center cubao and eastwood city and aseana city and new port wolrd resort city other more central businesses district in metro manila
BGC before is part of Makati due to land disputes it was awarded to Taguig in the year 2022,McKinley is Taguig since the old days. The land disputes starts 1993 and finalized in the year 2022
I stayed nearby the Venice Grand Canal Mall last October for one week so I ate here a lot. I wasn't that impressed by the shopping but it was beautifully decorated for the holidays. FYI St. Luke's Medical Center is recognized as one of the leading most respected healthcare institutions in the Philippines and are at par with the most advanced hospitals around the world. It is our designated hospital when we have duty travel in Manila. I think it's actually better than the hospitals we have in Hawaii.
Everything you see in the West and Europe , is here at BGC , Philippines . now open for business like Condos , apartment , hotels , mall , restaurants , sport center . etc . etc . thanks for the authorities of BGC , the Cayetanos .
hey Jaycation, love all your videos. the question i have is about the camera you used for this video, it seems it goes in focus and out of focus alot. just wondering if you notice too or its just the way you like to shoot the videos. thanks and keep being awesome>
Sadly, in very advanced countries like the USA, Western Europe and Japan, malls have died out. Online ordering took over. This is because in these advanced nations time is money, further, they have a very well established TRUST worthy mailing postage system that ensures your order is delivered to you un-tampered.
I find it funny--and cringy--to see vlogs by foreigners getting supposedly mesmerized by the beauty of BGC when many of them came from far richer countries with more impressive skylines and central business districts (CBDs). Is it an example of Pinoy-baiting? Or they just set a very low standards for the Philippines being a poor country so they act as if pleasantly surprised and impressed by BGC or other CBDs in the country?
The thing that's cool about the Philippines is how much they love traditional malls. Wish they were still popular here in the USA>
I love malls!! Haha
Malls in the Philippines are a one-stop shop. It has everything from churches, barbers/salons, arcade to groceries and department stores, to name a few.
Bread Talk was my favorite.. I remember it as an 85°C type of store
Haha ive never even thought of trying it
Great video, Jay. Thanks for always putting them out. I know it's a lot of work, but I've been following you for almost 6 months and love it.
I appreciate you watching and sticking with me!

Good call

How much is rent in BGC? Which place was built first? The Venice canal mall in BGC, or the Grand Canal Shops in Vegas? 🤔
Rent varies from PHP 25k-200k+
Haha good questions
Not bad
Yaas. Self care in asia is cheaper can’t wait to do it 😩

The difference is the Vegas one is partly indoor with AC. Man, its hot here! But nice.

Filipinos love Popeyes, I think it was voted best chicken over Jollibee

It's the mall going culture that makes the malls alive. Shopping in person, dining in and watching movies is a past time in the PH.
I got food poisoning from a Shakey’s in PI before. I was in the hospital for 3 days. I never ate it eversince. 😂
I got food poisoning from jollibee once 😭
💗💗💗💗🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🙏
psst. the real venice isnt in las vegas :D
