I stayed very very near the Solaire Hotel Manila in a budget hotel called Hop Inn Hotel, Aseana City Manila. I slept at my hotel for $28/USD night but spent days enjoying the Solaire, City of Dreams and all the other fancy Las Vegas type hotels and all their amenities. Lol! There's a nice Ayala Mall Manila Bay nearby too. This was the 2nd out of 4 areas I hotel hop around while in Manila. Okada is next level excess and is beautifully decorated for the holidays which is mainly why I wanted to visit the property. They do offer a nice day package for using their pool along with a nice meal.

Don’t sweat it Jay, I had a ball cap on too when we visited Okaida casino, and I was told to turn my cap to the back. Ha! When I stepped out of the casino I turned it to the front with no more hassles. Maybe they are skeptical about American people of color 😂. Cool place though with great pastries, food places and shops. Randy’s Donuts were great!
they are so i give them crap about it. i saw a guy with his hat forwards but he was in a wheelchair so they probably left him alone lol

@@Jaycation the reclamation projects in Manila Bay are multiple mini smart cities like City of Pearl, Horizon Manila, Waterfront City etc. the new Westside City is just a few steps away from Okada and the grand opening is in the last quarter of this year while Solaire North is located in Quezon City

Okada is our staycation resort and they usually have promotions. In Okada you only need to wear your hat backwards inside the casino unless you are playing poker. The only thing I don't like about the casinos here in Metro Manila is they don't have video poker machines, so I play Pai Gow when we go. Nice to see you enjoying your time here Jay.

Both are beautiful but agree, Okada seems to be the more welcoming place. Reminds me of a cross between Wynn/Encore and the Miracle Mile at Planet Hollywood.

Jay, nice video! Film restrictions and phone use inside the casino is due to off-shore gaming issues, primarily with mainland China. Okada was an original partner in Wynn/Encore; same architect.

In this case, the purpose of wearing your hat backwards is actually for facial recognition as they have cctv's & cameras all over the premises for security purposes! That's why Jay was asked to wear his hat backwards when he entered Solaire!

@@jesscastillo3691 I can't answer for them but the security personnel usually only ask the guests to wear their hats backwards at the entrance because they have a security camera there and they want the security cameras to capture the face of the guest without any obstruction before the individual totally gets inside the hotel and casino premises.

My last trip I did Jay to this country sucked big time,😕😕😕 like I told you before but now thanks to you I'm heading back and I'm going to drag my dad with me and he's been to the Philippines lot's of times, and in case you want to know Kazuo Okada used to be a business partner of Steve Wynn but they got into a fight over money and controlling interest's and parted ways and us knowing Steve and who he is today I don't blame Okada.😉😉😉😉
So that's why his hotel in Manila looks a lot like the Wynn and Bellagio and by the way the hotels in Las Vegas except for a few couldn't hold a candle stick to these properties Jay your awesome for showing these places we'll catch you on the next one brother.😋😋😋😋
P.S. Another tid bit of information Kazuo Okada was the chief financial backer of the Wynn and encore properties in Las Vegas when they were being built because Steve Wynn couldn't do it on his own
Yeah, please don’t compare those to Las Vegas. I have been. The food is no where close and the vibe isnot even in the same universe. Also it’s called the Las Vegas strip. There is no strip there, just casino by themselves.
At least, the casinos in Manila are not leaking water when it rains unlike some casinos in Vegas where there are always leaks in the roof and the tables and machines always get soaked everytime it rains in Las Vegas. It was just terrible, lol!🤭
