I wonder what would be Age of Sigmar's take on the Beastmen of Ind and Cathay. These were basically Beastmen but had elephant and tiger features rather than goat or bull features, and most notably were a bit more cooperative with others. Such examples being a human village offering them gifts of food, clothes, and weapons in exchange for being left alone or in some rare cases, protection. They really were quite an interesting concept that I wish to see explored in AoS someday (however unlikely). Look up some artwork of them and you will see some of the differences (and more) that I mentioned earlier, it's really quite interesting.
I like the idea that Beastmen are pretty naturally occurring in this world, but only those Beasts close to the north or south, near the polar chaos gates are those dammed by Chaos, since they are so close to the source of Chaos. But those near the equator or less corrupted by default.
I feel like Beasts of Chaos is the idea of chaos itself made manifest, not necessarily chaos undivided. They ARE Chaos, they ARE disorder and anarchy and all of these things. The Chaos undivided, (hopefully being the upcoming slaves to darkness) seems like it should be the idea of this band of warriors worshipping gods as a pantheon and more or less “spreading the good word” there of. They worship the glory of what the chaos gods represent, dark powers and destruction to all who would stand against them. An important distinction in my opinion.
I'm with you on this, the battletome itself seems to lean more towards the fact that there's not really any worship of the gods at all (except in specific cases that are generally looked down on by the majority of them). They simply want the realms to be a wild, lawless place. They're really more like a Destruction faction, just one that channels the essence of chaos for their own ends. As you've said, Slaves to Darkness worship chaos and its gods, the beast herds embody the essence of chaos.
GW should pay you to write lore for them. Like I bought the Khorne battletome it was all just strong wording and didn’t make sense until I watched YOUR videos about it lol.
totally or host your vid on they community page on the focus faction section would be awesome if you are new to the game and can read info and watch/hear this amazing vid :D
The description of prehistoric humans hiding from beastmen makes me think of Kingdom Death: Monster. Now I want GW to realease a board game where you take control of a village of humans, hunt chaos beasts and make weapons and armor from their bones and hides. Heck, it could be set in the Realm of Chaos for an atmosphere of total brutality and desperation.
It would be awesome if it was ser during the age of chaos or chaos realm. It's not like telling a beast men you actually dutifully worship chaos undivided is gonna stop him from taking your shit
The way i see order and chaos as a pendulum. The destruction of the old world was when that pendulum halted. Everything else is the swing of that pendulum.
Whoa I'm just now finding your channel and it is excellent! Thank you for your work! A flagon of Bugman's to your ancestors! Just got my first set of Gors and this video gave me so much more to put into the models.
"Mankind would have become as the Great Old Ones; free and wild and beyond good and evil, with laws and morals thrown aside and all men shouting and killing and revelling in joy. Then the liberated Old Ones would teach them new ways to shout and kill and revel and enjoy themselves, and all the earth would flame with a holocaust of ecstasy and freedom." So, Cthulhu was Chaos Undivided all along!
Well i guess if you want to its okay, but it wouldn't make much sense. One thing you could do is add one every now and then because non-goat like beastmen arr very rare, so an army of lizard like beastmen would be very rare
It'd be pretty fine to do that. The predominant beastman type in the east, in the Old World of Warhammer Fantasy, were tiger-headed. So some reptilian beastmen should be legit.
Honestly, the charr would fair pretty well in warhammer fantasy. They may look like savage monsters, but they are pretty intelligent, and have risen to become an industrial powerhouse in tyria. They’ve made helicopters, tanks, and much more in a short amount of time.
This approach of combining smaller factions into one battletome gives me hope for the future. Battletome Skaven? Battletome Aelves of Hysh/Ulgu? Battletome Skaven? (I may have mentioned that one twice, sooooo want options for unified Skaven armies again).
How legit would it be to combine the chaos warriors with a beastmen unit? Not at all new to the lore but very new to aos. Since they both have the Chaos keyword, would it work rule wise?
A bit out of place but something 2+ tough may want to look into a new sprue for slaanesh leaked. This could be from the Wrath and Rapture box. To go with that depraved drove or the khorne one for those dedicated to one of the dark gods.
Would you say this type of battle tome design is what is needed for slaves to darkness? And then just a release of a new chaos altar or something like that?
And the Beastmen are kindly like the orcs from middle earth both are savage, both are rabble and both have numbers. But unlike the orcs from middle earth, beastmen i think is lot more savage, more numerous then the orcs of middle earth.
I've already decided which 4 AoS armies I wanna build eventually, one from each Grand Alliance, for Order its Fyreslayers, Chaos is Beasts of course, Death is Ossiarch Bonereapers and Destruction is Orruks because WWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
You think that you are the true children of Chaos. But we have existed since before the dark gods found us! We carried there word before they even existed. You dedicate yourselfs to one god slaving yourselfs to there domination. And if not to one god then you adopt certain aspects of each gods. Perverting there power and claiming to serve them. You are nothing but thieves and slaves to the dark gods. For we truelly imbrace Chaos in whole. We do not pick and choose from the gods insulting there devinity. Nor do we bow down and cower beneath there gaze! No...We bring Chaos in it's truest form on to the world. No order no reason sheer and utter destruction. Whether it be to the design of the dark gods we do not care. Children should be host to the very essence of there fathers but never bow down and serve them! You call us beast. Mindless savage animals that slaughter without reason with no dedication to the gods. You are right! Ha beast! You should be calling us masters!
To be honest, I don't know why Morghur's not in the book. They even state in the book that the force that is Morghur often manifested itself in the world that was - there's no reason they couldn't have had him manifest again, with a funky new model. Missed opportunity I think. No Kazhrak though (although i think GW is releasing his miniature again for a single week!).
Sucks that they don't even exist as a faction anymore. Went to go buy some models to update my beastmen mordheim warband and found out that the army is gone from the gw website.
GOATS FOR THE GOAT THRONE!!!
OATS FOR THE OAT GOD

I say it time and time again the beastmen are my absolute favorite chaos faction.
love the perspective you give for beastman it make me loved them more over the regular chaos armies
Thank you!!! Im glad you enjoyed it :)
GW should pay you to write lore for them.
Like I bought the Khorne battletome it was all just strong wording and didn’t make sense until I watched YOUR videos about it lol.
That being said. Great into to the beastmen
I’m excited for this week

Why not both sides
It would be awesome if it was ser during the age of chaos or chaos realm. It's not like telling a beast men you actually dutifully worship chaos undivided is gonna stop him from taking your shit
"They been around since the realms begin they can look like anything" me staring at my seraphon army with laying around chaos bits
You cannot have order without chaos, glad they are back I love these guy's.
Orruks must looove theese guys!
Cool that They are almost ad old as Tamurkhan him self!!
Orruks love everyone the can fight lol
Man I want to make shark gor..
Yeah that'd be pretty glorious.
But what of panda gor?
Autumn beware the March of the Iron Pandas. The lore writes itself!
The deepkin books acutally mentions SHARK FUCKING GOR Attacks!
The way i see order and chaos as a pendulum. The destruction of the old world was when that pendulum halted. Everything else is the swing of that pendulum.

Welcome aboard! Gors are a great choice in my opinion. Very easy to build and paint!
"Mankind would have become as the Great Old Ones; free and wild and beyond good and evil, with laws and morals thrown aside and all men shouting and killing and revelling in joy. Amazing, thank you for this in-depth intro. I’m really happy what they did to the beast-man in AOS. Might pick up a starter box now!
Nice production, clear sound, good art, epic commentary, Great Video!
Well done! Solid theory, portraying the beasts of chaos as the agents of entropy, a natural unraveling.
Beast of Chaos must have some badass parties.
GREAT INTRO!! And as always great video!
Non-goat Beastmen... I wonder how legit it would be to take Lizardmen, add some horns and spikes and such, and play them as Beasts of Chaos?
Not very
Well i guess if you want to its okay, but it wouldn't make much sense. One thing you could do is add one every now and then because non-goat like beastmen arr very rare, so an army of lizard like beastmen would be very rare

i like how you used the char wallpaper from gw2 :D
There's so little art for these guys ;) Plus... I mean its the best race ever
Honestly, the charr would fair pretty well in warhammer fantasy. They may look like savage monsters, but they are pretty intelligent, and have risen to become an industrial powerhouse in tyria. They’ve made helicopters, tanks, and much more in a short amount of time.

I enjoy your videos brother very entertaining! Love your start collecting reviews. Because of you I spend way to much money haha thank you!
9:15 that's a Charr

I was hoping some of them could be used in destruction……
This is going to be my next army project. I've even ordered some items to make a custom shaggoth. I can't wait to unleash the beast! Heh.
And the Beastmen are kindly like the orcs from middle earth both are savage, both are rabble and both have numbers. But unlike the orcs from middle earth, beastmen i think is lot more savage, more numerous then the orcs of middle earth.
The main difference in my eyes is that while LotR Orcs are very industrial, the chaotic Beasts of Chaos are the opposit of that.
Woooo more than a week of beasts!!!!
Beastmen are coming!!! Get the walls up, and for a tide of Beastmen are upon us!!!
Booooorn to be wiiiiiild~.......i couldn't resist :p
Do more or BOC? Please.
great intro dude!
ME NO LIKE! WORDS!
10mins 5 sec y has that wolf got a bullet belt
I've already decided which 4 AoS armies I wanna build eventually, one from each Grand Alliance, for Order its Fyreslayers, Chaos is Beasts of course, Death is Ossiarch Bonereapers and Destruction is Orruks because WWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
Anarcho-Primitivists?

Is Kazhrak back????
Morghur is referenced in one of the Gavespawn special ability. "Gifts of Morghur"
@@nalrashido I think he is like a god to them now or so I heard.

9:14 is not a beastman that's a Charr from Guildwars 2
No one cares
Sucks that they don't even exist as a faction anymore.

Why you forget the Great Horned Rat? 5 Chaos gods...... Just saying....
