Who else came after watching the floor install video a year ago first🙋🏿♀️
THANK YOU!😊
@@KickingitwithKish my pleasure thank you for the awesome video I'm so impressed.
I honestly don't know if it would. Sorry I couldn't answer your question.
You are amazing, I wish you could review everything I want to try. Allowing people to see 3months and 1year update is excellent. Seeing someone immediate review is one thing, but seeing the truth of wear and tear afterwards is what people need. Bravo
Thank you for your comment. I truly agree. I try to show things that everyone would benefit from when searching on RUclips. Flooring is such a big investment. You want it to look good BUT you don't want to have to redo the whole thing in 2-6 months that's just money wasted.
Real legit review. Responses to relevant questions after post. Thank you
You're welcome
The floor still looks great! I just saw your first video! **Nice update!
I am having these floors installed tomorrow. I was soooo worried about the quality. Thank you for the update and the tips!!!
You're welcome 😊 Good luck.
Amazing!! Thank you for showing us your honest update! I'm sold!
Thank you for your comment.😊
Watched the install, and just watched this one, thank you. I'm wanting to put some new flooring down in my bathroom. This looks so great!!!! Thanks for the link!
Your welcome
Got mine today for the bathroom as well! Good luck.🍀
Have patience, take your time and it will turn out great.😊
Thank you Kish! Your video from a year ago popped up on my feed and it was great!
I thank you very much for the HONEST review of this product. I'm going to do the bathroom soon and had looked at these same planks so I'm really grateful you used these!
Thank you so much for this and your earlier video. I'll be looking at more of them!
Subbed 💖🤗💖
Thank you for your comment. I really appreciate it 😊
I did my counters with rustoleum counter and cabinet paint and decided I wanted a simple soapstone look,so I looked at several videos on how to do veining, held my breath and jumped in! I love the look and I finished it with a matte finish. It still looks great almost a year later!
I've never thought of that. I'll definitely look into it.😊
Thank You so much for your tips and tricks with regarding to stay with the same Brand, using plastic underneath if you’re a renter, etc...I can’t wait to see how your kitchen cabinet DIY turns out. I personally think that white cabinets would be beautiful, but whatever you decide I and I’m sure your other subscribers and viewers can’t wait to see. Thanks again for posting.
Thank you for your comment. ❤🤗
You answered all my questions! Thank you so much, and it looks amazing! My biggest fear was pulling out the major appliances. I'm glad you showed that's not necessary 🙌🏾
Your welcome 🙂
It is necessary. It's sliding because she didn't pull them out and tile all the way to the walls.
Thank you so much for this video. I was just talking to my son about wanting to redo my kitchen and hallway but I had no idea how to do it but I’m definitely going to try this. I’m gonna do this! Thank you so much you made it look so easy!! 😁🥰👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🎤
You're welcome
Hi Kish thanks for replying. I used black marble tile peel and stick in the kitchen and dark wood peel and stick planks in my foyer. They both turn out beautiful.
I'm thinking about doing my foyer next I'm just not sure if I want to do the same color or a different color. Decisions, decisions 😫
I personally would have moved my stove and refrigerator and went all the way to the wall, but overall the floor looks great👍🏼
I love it I was nervous because my kitchen is large but seeing your floor I will be doing this thanks for the updates
I truly understand. I was nervous too but I'm happy I did. Good luck on your project, you got this..😊
I'm that type of vinyl vinyl itself use mop & Glo do not use a but water and soap in a mop you don't want to soak it up you want to keep it down so use mop & Glo what is the best product
Dust mop when you're not sleeping it's just so you won't have to sweep get a dust mop and you'll be able to get a lot of stuff up the desks and press the dirt looking a firefighter in the bring home a map that you use it now to mop the floor is great but use a dust mop when you're not mopping
You have inspired me- been wishy washy about taking the final step of doing this. It’s on for the weekend!!❤❤
😊 Make it a fun project. I still have the same floors 3yr later.
New Subscriber, thank you for this update, my daughter installed the peel in stick from Wal-Mart in my kitchen, we were looking for an adhesive to use. Thanks for sharing.
You're welcome
Wow. Thanks for your update. I may really try this in my condo on the 20 year old laminate in my kitchen.
You're welcome 😊
I'm thinking this is the solution to my 1920s uneven floors, without breaking the bank.
Wish me luck!
Let me know how it turns out. 😊
Yes, my 1924 home too!
Agreed...Just learned how uneven our 1940s home floor was so decided to go this route as well.
Okay, you have given me the confidence to do my own floors now!!! 😊
Awesome. Be patient and take your time. Let me know how it turns out. 🤗
My peel and stick did that in front of the oven because I didn't pull the oven out, but I did pull out my refrigerator to put peel and stick behind it. The only two I had to replace was 2 in front of the oven.
I didn't want to move the refrigerator 😫. Thank God the extra tape that I put down is holding strong 💪🏾. What color did you use? Light or dark like mine.
I LOVE it!. You did a great job.
Thank you 😊
You almost make me think I can do my own floors!!😉👍...and I just might!!🎉
You can, just take your time. 😊
This is awesome. Thank you so much for this!
You're welcome
Beautiful! I want to try this sooo bad!
Thank you!!! I was scared at first too.
Good video update, I can see the mixed patterns though. I'm looking to do my bathroom soon. Appreciate your efforts.
You're welcome. Good luck. 😊
I love the mix; looks natural!
Thank you!! Love it😍 .. Im going to do my Kitchen..then the restrooms..
Great! Just remember to have patience while doing it. You will love the outcome. 😊
Good job!!!
About to do this in my bedroom with a white light plank adhesive. I have done things similar before in my bathroom, but never in a big space, and never with so many as plank tiles as for my bedroom. A little nervous to be honest as initially was going to pay for lino to be installed but they could not get the colour I wanted in regards to my bedroom size and at £300 quid I couldn't justify it having spent a lot on expensive flooring and labour by a pro elsewhere. So these were a solution and the closest to the colour I actually wanted in the bedroom. Also they were from a hardware store and were 50% cheaper to buy plus I save on labour as I am doing it myself. Just hoping it turns out ok and lasts as I do not plan on doing the bedroom again. Fingers crossed. Starting project in a few weeks. Girls rule the world 🌎.
Thank you for your comment. Just make sure you take your time when it come to making the cuts. You will love the outcome.
Nice update
Thank you, thank you 😊
I’m convinced to get some in my down stairs area now
Let me know how it turns out 😊
Brilliant thanks.
Thank you so much for the videos!
Thank you 😊
Still looks good
Thank you.
Why do I hear your Guyanese accent 😭🔥🔥 I love our accent! Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching and subscribing. It's actually a V.I. 🇻🇮 accent that creeps in.😂
@@KickingitwithKish oh wow 😦that’s surprising I didn’t know our accents are so close 💀💀
Love what you do, but I keep needing to turn down the volume when the music come on. I find it hard on my ears.
Wow they do have a lot of stick to them
Good job
Thank you 😊
On your glue , I saw on a video how to clean the adhesive up . Look like it was a mop size scraper .
Thk u!
Good info
Hey! Thanks for your review!! The link just takes me to a bunch of different tiles? Which ones did you specifically buy? Thank you!! 🥰
Achim Tivoli II Self Adhesive Vinyl Floor Planks - 10 Planks/15 Sq. ft., 6 x 36, Silver Spruce
It's now listed around 28.00 for a box of 10
Just watched the update!
Thank you 😊
It looks fantastic great job. How do you wash the floor? Deal with spills?
I've only been using a slightly damp sponge mop with only water. I am looking for advice and suggestions on products to use. So far a sponge and water is doing great.
I used peel and stick tiles, too - I sure regret it.
Sorry to hear that.
When you installed the floor did you have to take out the base board or moulding pieces (the moulding pieces the one attached to the wall and floor at same time) because I heard people do that. But it would seem like a pain to do
I didn't.
Thank you!
You're welcome 😊
If you want to clean it, use a swiffer, best way to clean these floors :)
Do you use any products with the swiffer?
If you have moved the stove and fridge and installed all the way to the wall, it would do that. Also, sand or score the old flooring. Give it something to grab on to. Also liquid nails helps with this as well.
This helps if you want it to be permanent. I did not want it to be completely permanent in the event it didn't work out like I thought. Also the way instructed in the video is renter friendly.
Thank you for your comment and thank you watching 😊
Looks great!
Thank you 😊
It's October 2, 2023 and it's about time for another update? I'm gonna subscribe just in hopes you might address my questions.
I wanna know how them tiles you got rigged up under the fridge are doing. I'm wondering about the part under the fridge that ain't stuck to nothing if that could have something to do with how the other brand tiles got compromised.
Show us the damage you spoke about from dragging something across the floor?
The wood grain image on the flooring is not chipping or suffering any damage or noticeable wear?
Is there any place the tiles might be coming up even the slightest so they might snag your socks or hose when walking across the floor? I'd wanna know if I was sliding my feet across the floor surface from one end of the room to the other that I wouldn't feel no snagging.
Yes,yes, yes it is time for another update.
I still do have the same planks on my floor.
I will try to make another video soon. The ones under the fridge I would use that tape I spoke about so it doesn't move.
Also I walk barefoot or the wear sock booties on the planks most times and i have not experienced any snagging.
Please remember this not a direct substitute to hard wood floors. This is a budget friendly alternative that I tried. I am not sponsored or paid by any of the companies that products that I am using in my videos.
Thank you for watching 😊

Thank you so much for answering my questions! 🙂 I know it's all about being budget friendly, and all for that cause I'm poor. All I care is the product stays nice looking for years to come. Not that we mat gave a lot of years left before Yeshua our Lord and Savior returns. :-)
Where did you get the tape ? I need some for my floor in the kitchen . I layer the floor wrong and it has some planks separating . I bought some planks to replace them . I didn’t want to redo the whole floor ! Probably could of got by , just by using this tape . The planks have to be staggered and I didn’t know that .
I got the tape from Home depot or Lowe's. It's called double sided tape.
In your Google search bar type in double sided tape for floor planks and it will show up.
Staggering the planks looks the best to me. I placed them down booth ways to get an idea of what they would look like before taking the paper off the back.
@@KickingitwithKish Thank you for your fast reply ! I just had to relay some planks that had moved . I found it very frustrating to lay the planks . I have no talent for it or the patience . But Im the only one that can make the change . I didn’t know they needed to be staggered . I was told that’s why some of my planks separated , started shifting ! I thought at first ,when I saw a separating one that I didn’t lay it right . But then I seen more appearing . I hope I don’t have to take it up again ! It was a pain . But you did a great job 👏 ♥️👍🏻I couldn’t stand the adhesive either !
What are the measurements of your kitchen & how much did it cost u to complete your kitchen floor?
I used around 11 boxes.
Can you push those back and use that tape you got to hold them in?
I probably could of but honestly the difference in color was always bothering me. So when the planks separated it was easier to pull it up and I put the correct ones down.
I see you said you used 11 boxes... How did you measure properly to ensure you had enough tiles?
To be honest I just Google floor calculator. Input the measurements of the plank and got the measurements for my kitchen. I also got extra boxes just incase I messed up or anything happened over time.
I still have an additional 2 boxes leftover.
Hello, what made you use double sided tape instead of glue?
No real reason. I saw it in the store and decided to try the tape.
Yh glue would be better
What did u use to evenly cut the planks?
A box cutter. Once you make the first cut just move it back and forth and it will snap off.
Hi there I just watched the video great job. I notice u now have an island. Can you tell me where u purchased it?
Thank you for the view and your comment. The island was bought off of Facebook market place. Someone was selling it. It was blue and I painted it white.
@@KickingitwithKish ok great thank u!
I like the new island. I’ve always wanted an island in my large kitchen. I went to a big box store and purchased a white husky tool chest. Absolutely Love it! It’s on wheels, which make it easy to move around the kitchen. It came with it’s own power supply. Great for more working area during the holidays. Bonus they come in many colors now, too match any kitchen.
Do u walk with shoe heals on that floor????
Unfortunately I can't answer that question. I always take my shoes off at the front door. But I would say just treat them like you would regular wood floors. They will scoff if you drag something across it.
how many boxes did you used?

How many boxes did you use
I think 11-12 boxes.
WHAT BRAND ARE YOUR PLANKS,COMPANY?

Here you go.
how much did u pay for all of it if u don’t mind me asking?
Roughly about 300.00 that's including the fact I had to order 1 more box.
@@KickingitwithKish ahh okay, and how many boxes did u get?
11
@@KickingitwithKish I’m sorry I’m asking so many questions but do u know by any chance how much square feet u covered?
No problem about the questions. I would really advise that you measure your space. I didn't measure and that's why I was short and opt for the samples at the local Warehouse store which were horrible.
Measure your space! And always get 1 extra box just in case you make a wrong cut, if any is defective or any lifts you'll have some readily available to replace.
How many boxes u use
11 boxes

The reason it's peeling away is cause...
#1 you didn't apply a light coat of liquid peel and stick adhesive onto the former flooring and you didn't heat up with a blow dryer or heat gun each peel and stick adhesive tiles which helps it activate the glue...eventually it's going to end up lifting up as time goes by... I've done these types of flooring soooooo many times and i have had no issue what's so ever... except removing it...that's how good i installed it😂🤣😂🤣
I didn't do any of that because if I want to change the floor color it would be a huge issue as you stated in your comment. As of today 3yrs later the original peel and stick planks are are still doing great. Thank you for watching and thanks for your comment. 😁
What type of adhesive do you use to get a good bond. Is primer also needed?
Just a tip: DONT USE HEATING MOPS. DAMAGES TILE
I was wondering what I shouldn't do. Thank you so much I really appreciate your advice. 💯
That one vinyl plank sticks out. I would change it ASAP so the whole floor could match.
No it doesnt
If you use adhesive it will not come up.
Volume is Wayyyyy too loud
Your intro music...sorry 👍
nope, no peel and stick for me... TFS this video as I did see the first install.
What are u saying???
